Relax with your entire family at this home that is more like a mini resort. Short walk or drive to the beach. Private pool and hot tub open and waiting for you. Sound side and canal front. Private dock with Kayaks. Beach chairs and towels provided. Our job is to provide almost everything so that all you need is to relax and enjoy your stay.
Southern shores canal front location, with sound front park and playground across the street. Private dock in back of the house for Kayak launching. Quiet community, with friendly neighbors.
Perfect for fall or winter with fire pit, and fireplace.

Great family experience!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Alan’s home! Alan communicated throughout our entire stay and made sure we had a wonderful visit. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and is in a great location. What a treat to have your own pool retreat!

Great Location

The property had a great location. It was quiet and the house itself was very comfortable for 6 adults. We watched deer grazing as we ate our breakfast less than 30 ft away. Yet it was very close to most of the northern OBX attractions, restaurants and shopping. You won't be disappointed staying there.

Beautiful home and very relaxing

Our family had a wonderful experience staying in this beautiful home. We took advantage of the parking pass for the beach access that was supplied. That worked remarkably well! My grandson enjoyed fishing from the dock on the canal. Overall our short stay was very relaxing, enjoyable and we definitely would choose to stay there again in the future.

Excellent spot for a quick getaway

Quiet spot central to everything on the island. Nice pool and convenient to the beach (short drive with ample town-only parking - 2 parking passes were provided). The sound view and dock on the canal was awesome. The home had everything we needed for a great stay. It was perfect for our family. Communication with the host was excellent. Alan was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful trip with little ones who love water.

The house was perfect for my spouse and I to share the upstairs bedroom with our infant baby. Our toddler has his own room on the main floor with grandparents in the third room. The house was close to the beach with private access and parking. The pool was a hit, warm from the summer days and secluded from neighbors. The house is on a dead end street so we never had an issue with traffic. The host was quick to respond when a Roku tv needed activation. A rare event I’m sure but quickly taken care of. 10/10 we recommend.

Unpleasant Stay!!

Pros: Home is spacious and accommodated our group of six easily. Having a deck off of each room was an hit! Alan was very communicative regarding any issues during our stay. Cons: HVAC needs immediate attention, as the air conditioning was a problem from checkin to checkout, which made enduring temps each day of 80+ degrees on the main level bedrooms of the home pretty miserable. Kitchen lacked usual starter items, i.e., dish cloth, dish towel, trash bag. There was no blender, no sufficient number of pots for cooking, no appropriate cookware for steaming seafood (shrimp, crab legs, etc). The dryer barely works, as we had to run a small to medium load of laundry through three cycles before they were barely dry. Rugs throughout the home are severely stained and should be tossed, carpets should be replaced or deep cleaned.

Please note we had a Freon leak which has now been repaired. Air conditioning is up and the entire place is freezing. Carpets are being professionally cleaned this week.

Best place to stay!

This fabulous home has everything! Pool, hot tub, kayaks, canal, fireplace, fire pit and so much more! Close to the beach and Duck! The park right across the street offers the best sunsets!! Location can’t be beat! Our family had the best time! We will be back!
