Location was great for us. Property was not maintained to the point of being able to enjoy it. Inside was dirty in corners and in cupboards. Kit cupboard doors all had dirty handprints at handles. Baseboards and carpets were beyond just dusty. No mattress cover on the mattress or pillowcases. Great layout and potential, just not clean. Great communication when the power went out. Easy tv use and options Designated parking and easy access to front door.

We loved this rental! The property was very clean, stocked with essential, has a nice deck with a great view and access to the lake. The owners were amazing, communication was great and overal it was a very pleasant experience! Would come back anytime!

Great home base for a family visit

We recently came to Anchorage for a family wedding and so enjoyed the convenience and welcoming nature of this 2 bedroom apartment! Great location, comfortable and clean, my husband and I and my sister appreciated having a nearby place to roost without being underfoot during the festivities! Thanks so much!

We had a great 3-night stay at this property. I want to highlight a few things for future renters so you go I with clear expectations. This is not a newly renovated property with lots of trendy things thrown in. It's an older Alaskan home. Very comfrtable and cozy. Furniture is old but it's solid wood and nothing wobbles. Kitchen appliances are probably from the 90s but they all work, the gas stove is great, dishwasher is a little loud and the Keurig co.e stocked with coffee pods and all the fixings. Best part - a set of sharp knives. Bathroom has a door that sticks but the shower has great water pressure and water is nice and hot. Thermostat can be adjusted to your comfort level. Beds have wonderful, firm mattresses and a selection of pillows in the closet ( I found a foam won that resembles what I have at home. Tbe neighborhood is safe, quiet with little light pollution. There's a grocery store and some good restaurants a quarter mile from. The house. Theres ample parking, clear of snow. The host is very responsive. There are amazing cookies to greet you when you arrive. We travel a lot for sports and this was a great place to rest and recover between hockey matches, cook healthy meals and watch the Olympics. There's a covered private deck outside facing the lake which must be spectacular in the summer. We will gladly come back next season.

Nice and comfortable property

The property was very nice, comfortable, and well decorated. Parking and access are handy. The location is very good and on a lake. We enjoyed our stay in this property. When we arrived, we found delicious home made cookies and a welcome note, we enjoyed them. Jacob was very responsive in communications. We highly recommend this property.

Excellent place to stay in Anchorage

This was a perfect place for my wife and I to stay as a home base for exploring Anchorage and a few day trips to surrounding towns and villages. Convenient to highways and major streets. Nice quiet suburban location. Our hosts made a great effort to prepare the property for us and did an excellent job. Clean, safe, comfortable, and convenient. Highly reccomend this suburban location to Anchorage visitors.

We’ll Be Back

We found the property to be very comfortable and inviting. From a very clean unit to fresh flowers on the tables. A lovely view of the lake as well. We will most definitely return to stay again. The hosts were very quick to respond and eager to meet any need we may have had.

Thank you to our hosts for a very nice and comfortable stay. Our only feedback is that the outdoor space was disappointing. We did use the deck but the back yard that was pictured in the listing was off-limits and the space was messy-looking. The listing needs to be updated to reflect the fact that there is only a deck and no access to the yard or dock. Also, the yard next to the property is full of old cars so that was unpleasant as well.

Jewel Lake Rental

This was a wonderful rental for us. The place was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. The owners were easy to communicate with. The unit was quiet even though it was attached to the main house. We didn't hear any noise from the other units. It felt very separate. The grocery store was conveniently close. We enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for making it available for rental via Vrbo.
