Casa Pelicanos es su villa de vacaciones de playa de ensueño, a pocos pasos de una de las grandes playas escondidas de la Riviera mexicana, Playa Venados. Nuestra encantadora Villa está a solo 45 minutos del aeropuerto de Puerto Vallarta y a minutos de la ciudad de Lo de Marcos. Salga a la terraza y vea el impresionante panorama del océano frente a usted y el exuberante bosque semi-tropical a un lado. El aire es suave, el paisaje es impresionante y el sonido siempre presente del océano es finalmente relajante.

Puedes observar ballenas desde la terraza, relajarte mientras ves a los pelícanos sobrevolar la casa o darse un chapuzón en el agua tibia. Por la noche, admira las estrellas y las luciérnagas mientras paseas por la hermosa y segura playa. Casa Pelicanos es un refugio de nuestras vidas demasiado ocupadas y su estadía aquí será verdaderamente relajante y refrescante.

Los alojamientos son estéticamente hermosos y cómodos con arte y muebles auténticos. Hay dos niveles en la Villa, cada uno de los cuales es independiente con cocinas completas y entradas separadas. Casa Pelicanos, consta de tres habitaciones (2 reinas / 1 rey) y tres baños, mientras que Casa Venados (n. ° de listado 1245147) tiene dos habitaciones (2 reinas) y dos baños. Alquilelos por separado o juntos. Lo de Marcos es una pequeña ciudad encantadora, que aún no es un destino turístico. Hay un par de buenos restaurantes, supermercados, farmacias y, por supuesto, una playa fabulosa con un estuario contiguo con excelente observación de aves. Echa un vistazo a la plaza del pueblo, que es el centro social: a menudo hay eventos locales divertidos.

Para cenar y comprar, puede ir a San Francisco, que está a 20 minutos al sur de Lo de Marcos o conducir otros 5 minutos más hasta Sayulita. A 15 minutos al norte se encuentra La Penita, con bancos, cajeros automáticos y un divertido mercado de jueves que vende artesanías y frutas y verduras deliciosamente frescas.

Hay taxis disponibles desde y hacia el aeropuerto y también en Lo de Marcos y previa solicitud. Si realmente desea explorar, le recomendamos un coche de alquiler que esté disponible en el aeropuerto o en Sayulita.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Pelicanos. The property is beautiful, clean and tidy, and felt secluded (and safe). The ocean waves were constantly audible... which was wonderful both night and day. We had all the amenities we needed and Erika and Paul were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had before and during our stay.

Wonderful family getaway

The location is perfect - easy walk to uncrowded beach that is great for swimming when the swell is mellow. Close enough to town to make for an easy trip in for tacos or groceries.

The perfect getaway!

We are repeat renters so you know that we loved it. This time there were last minute plan changes by our friends so it turned into a second honeymoon! We spent as much time as possible just relaxing on the terrace and the beach. We rented a golf cart in town, which was good for getting around locally. We’ll be back again! We even saw two whales from the terrace. The day before we left, the house manager arranged Covid testing at the house. Thanks Erika for setting that up. Everything was perfect!

This is a heavenly location high above the beach in a small serene bay. Watching graceful pods of pelicans glide at eye level from the second floor veranda enchants your soul, relaxes your mind and opens your heart to the beauty all around. Speaking of Beauty, the house has been beautifully renovated by its gracious owners with deep crimson and marigold painted walls and lovely Mexican tiles throughout. Elegant, relaxed and spacious this is a dream Mexican chalet hovering over the breaking waves. If you are seeking serenity next to a beach in Mexico this is the place to be. I'll be back!

Hypnotically beautiful

If a cookie-cutter villa in a gated community is your thing, then strike Casa Pelícanos off your list. This is a blissfully unique property, and it's a gem. It floats above a tiny cluster of private homes overlooking a splendidly undeveloped beach -- all that's on offer at Playa los Venados is crashing surf, seabirds, and an unobstructed view of the Pacific. (A more commercial strip of sand is available a short drive or walk away in the delightful town of Lo de Marcos.) The residence takes up the large and very private top floor of a two-storey structure; it's well-furnished, comfortable, and the presence of other tenants downstairs hardly registers. We had coffee every morning of our week-long stay on the wrap-around terrace, gazing out at the ocean and wishing we could stay longer. Glorious. Paul was a welcoming and responsive host, with prompt e-mailed answers to all our pre-rental questions. And once we got there, Trini and Joel (his "team" on the ground) were very helpful. But we honestly didn't require much help -- everything worked as it was supposed to. A few notes: Los Venados wasn't a "swimming" beach, at least not while we were there. A young Mexican woman (an expert swimmer) who braved the waves on one of the calmer days said she found herself fighting the surf and the current, and didn't go back in. The water at Lo de Marcos was just as rough. A car really is a must, for ease of access to the property, the town, and swimmable water -- a 4x4 is the best option if you want to explore, and allowed us to reach an otherwise inaccessible "secret" beach 45 minutes north . (And do take Paul's recommendation and rent with Gecko. The guys there are terrific, and so are their vehicles.) And lastly... the beds are on the "very firm" side, so anyone who'd prefer a little padding should consider toting a roll-up mattress pad of some kind. The place is worth it.

Great property, great beach :) broken water pump :(

The water pump was broken upon arrival, also a broken pipe. The owners were very understanding and did everything possible to fix the problem and refunded a fair portion of the rental. Would stay again.

Great house on a beautiful beach!

This was our third time staying at Casa Pelicanos. The house is comfortable, spacious, clean, and has everything you need. The best part is the sound of the waves, and view of Playa Los Venados, a secluded and beautiful beach just a short walk down the driveway. So peaceful and relaxing!!! We highly recommend Casa Pelicanos for a tranquil and nourishing vacation getaway!

Magic Home Away

If you want a restful holiday Casa Pelicanos will exceed your expectations. When you sit on the cool balcony, high above the almost private, and safe beach you are in paradise. The pelicans, in V formation, fly over the house from dawn to dusk and the Frigate birds soar high in the cloudless sky. We were a family of six: grandparents, parents and teenagers and voted unanimously to return one day to this lovely house. We ate most breakfasts and lunches in the well equipped kitchen and went into the small town of Lo de Marcos to drink margaritas at sundown followed by a meal of Mexican street food. Our week at Casa Pelicanos was not problem free. We arrived on Easter Saturday to find there was no running water in the house. However, the house keeper,Trini and her husband, worked tirelessly to get the water restored and within two days we had forgotten the inconvenience and the owner has given us a partial refund on the price. One week does not do justice to Casa Pelicanos. You need at least two! If I can assemble the family members together at the same time we will be back = as soon as possible.

Beautiful, quiet hideaway

We loved our stay at Casa Pelicanos. The house was well laid out and appointed with all of the things needed for an escape. The only con which in the end was a plus was the lack of working network/phones. We had to go back in to town to get connected, which was actually quite nice once we had disconnected. The beach was beautiful and quiet. Decent surf for body surfing/boogie boarding. Snorkeling was not ideal due primarily to visibility/surf, but there were lots of tropical fish right off of the beach. Looking forward to coming back again

Clean, spacious, stunning views of the ocean!

The best vacation ever! The house was lovely and the locals were kind and helpful. The property managers (Trini and Joelle) were amazing. I need to say that again - amazing!!! I went to sleep every night feeling like I was lying on the beach (because the property is a 2 minute walk from the beach so it's almost as if we were!). I can't wait to get back there!

It was so relaxing, remote and quiet...

What a beautiful place, this playa los Venados... Casa pelicanos sits right over the beautiful private beach. Swim at the beach or venture into town to lo de Marcos or a nearby beach town. We brought our own food from the mega commercial store on the way from Puerto Vallarta airport. Then we cooked most night in the house. Rent a car as you'll be happy to be mobile as this place is super remote. Check out their welcome binder for fun day trips in the area! Great place for sure...

Fantastic getaway/vacation!

We just returned from our 2 week stay in Casa Pelicanos in Lo de Marcos...it was heavenly! The house was beautiful and the almost private beach was awesome! The caretakers, Trini And Joel were charming and even prepared us a lovely meal at the house where their adorable 12 year old daughter, Odet served as our waitress. We couldn't have had a nicer vacation...can't wait to book again for next time! Gracias!

Amazing!!

This house is so amazing! We loved everything about it! The views were breath taking, the kitchen was beautiful and well equipped, the decor and all the finishing touches felt like true luxury. We loved hearing the sound of the waves every night while we slept and we spent most of our days right down at the beach. It was so private. I would recommend this house who wants a true get away with all the amenities minus the crowds. We will hopefully be back soon!

My Favorite

I love Casa Pelicanos. I love it so much that I just decided to look at the pictures on the website to reminisce and realized that I never wrote a review!!! The house is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need. Amazing views, the beach is RIGHT THERE, close to so many great spots to check out, and super friendly locals. I may never see much of Mexico because I have found paradise and loveliness in the quiet little town of Lo De Marcos. I visited in 2014, 2015 and am planning a trip for 2016.

We feel extremely fortunate to have spent our second week in Mexico at Casa Pelicanos. Just having come from the frenetic hustle and bustle of Sayulita, Casa Pelicanos offered us a welcomed respite and a chance to sit back and more fully appreciate our surroundings. The house itself is spacious and equipped with everything that you would find in your own home. A wrap around balcony overlooking your private sandy beach, lush tropical vegetation with exotic flowers and a secluded location, all combined to provide us a unique and satisfying experience. In our upper floor accommodations, the 3 bedrooms all with individual bathrooms as well as the very large open concept living, dining and kitchen areas, gave ample room for getting together as a group or taking some time for yourself. And so too, the interior decorations and artwork created almost a mystical feeling as you sat back and listened to the waves crashing on the beach below. We also found the owner and caretakers easy to contact and very quick to respond to an inquiry we had during our stay. Travel into the town of Los de Marcos can be made by car, taxis or a short 20 minute walk over a dirt road and pavement. People are extremely friendly and there are numerous small shops with fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, beer and just about everything you may need. Arcelia’s restaurant was one of our favourite spots and the food can only be described as excellent. Another favourite locale was at a local Los de Marcos beach vendor where you could sit and sip ice cold beer while the waves gently rolled in under the table and over your feet. Our stay at Casa Pelicanos just outside Los de Marcos was exceptional and we hope to be able to return in 2016.

An architectural jewel on a secluded beach

A jewel on the Pacific Ocean. Every detail of this beautiful home is exquisite and carefully designed. The architecture and decor are worthy of Architectural Digest with all of the warmth and comfort you expect, making you immediately feel at home. The 3 bedrooms (we stayed on the top floor) are large with very comfortable beds and quality linens and each has their own beautiful bathroom which was perfect for traveling with our grown children. The kitchen is large and well stocked with quality cookware and dishes - which we really appreciate as we love to cook at home. The town had all we needed to prepare amazing meals. Our days were spent lounging on the wrap around porch looking at the surf and basking on our secluded beach. We listened to the surf all night. The open concept living/dining/kitchen adds to the airiness of the home and gives everyone enough space without being away- large comfortable couches, big dining room table and big kitchen with eat in counter- allowing conversation while prepping. Very few people come to this beach- Very private, very beautiful. There is not a detail that was overlooked. A perfect home- we will be back!

Casa Pelicanos is such a beautiful home and much care has been taken with the art and furnishings to make it feel like you are walking into a place of comfort and serenity. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of space in the living room or the veranda to read or just hang out. Just walk down our driveway and the pristine beach is only steps away. Whenever we stay at Casa Pelicanos time slows down and our vacation provides the sense of relaxation and renewal we were hoping for.
