Imagine yourself within a Dome Pavilion of eight Star segments.. Our 1971 mid-century STAR DOME PLANET, most unique architecture, has been restored for your visit. Located in the center of town; a walk to restaurants, movie theater, surrounded by paradise of lakes, hot springs & wineries. Ample room for yoga. Private Parking. Come add your own Stardust Memories.
The space
The Star Dome Planet is a 1,000 sqft with an open space interior design that allows for maximum entertaining. Safe and Cozy Sleeping for Four guests (2): Two guests on a comfortable KS bed, and a QS floor mattress for occasional visitors. Both the KS bed and the floor mattress are under one Star Dome roof. The walls are filled with unique art and sculpture by artist JQ, while the furnishings mirror the mid-century aesthetic of the architecture. We have designed a unique environment customized and filled with magic. An outside clawfoot hot tub for soaking under the stars. A full working kitchen, bathroom with shower, office with dedicated computer desk, and private off street parking. Fully equipped Kitchen is supplied with teas and coffee.

- Please read notes posted on walls
- Please do not touch the Art
- NO RV hookups available. Hooking an RV into our electricity is a Fire Hazard and a Code Violation.
- NO PETS.
- NO PARTIES please!
- When leaving for a short or long while, please extinguish all candles, TURN OFF all appliances as well as the AC/Heating unit, and lock the top lock only with a key, to avoid getting locked out.
- Plenty off-street Private parking next to entrance door, and plenty street parking. The entrance to our parking driveway is on Mill st just before reaching Dora as you drive up Mill st.
- Star Dome Planet is the front unit within a duplex building. Please keep the noise down next to the shared wall.
- Trash bins outside will be taken to the curb and back by our manager
- Please let our manager know if any issues occur, or if you have any questions, always communicate with our manager and don't hesitate to call us if you need.

We have the following categories in art: portraiture, landscape, color field, pop, super realism, and performance art. All of these forms of art have traditionally been exhibited in galleries and museums.
There are vacation stays, and there are museum stays. We offer the latter with a large exhibit space of spiritual art. It is our intent that every visitor encounters at least one piece of art, that remains in their heart.... LivArt invites a person to dream with the art in a prolonged living situation. Through staying within our environments for a few days, both day and night, the experience transcends an exhibition. Every person is allowed to interact with the art at their own pace, but more importantly, to be absorbed by the experience.

- Swimming & boating lakes nearby, Wine tours, Redwoods, and just over the hill awaits the Pacific ocean.
- We are minutes away from 101 Freeway and plenty gas stations on State st.
- Coop Natural Foods is only 10min. walk from Star Dome
- All the big stores are available in Ukiah including Safeway, Wallmart, Costco, Home Depot, Staples, Michaels, etc...

The hosts have made a very nice and unique place to stay here. You can tell they take pride in how their space looks and feels. It is decorated with the host's own artwork and there is quite a bit to look at. It is located only a couple blocks away from downtown Ukiah, centrally located and close to everything in Ukiah. It is priced very fair for the size and well worth the price when you include the atmosphere inside and out. I will definitely be staying here again if I am back in the area.

This place exceeded our expectations for our long extended stay. Q and Twila were very attentive, responsive, and accommodating of our needs. The building and interior are unique, creative, and pleasant. The inside of the place is a museum displaying Q’s artwork. Good vibes and energy all around. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Thanks Q and Twila!

Spacious unit with well equipped kitchen. Great heating/cooling system. Interesting art. Lots of good instructions for guests and very good check in.

We were passing through Ukiah and so glad we discovered Star Dome.
An amazing, unique space with exceptional fine Art, very clean!
Great location, a short walk from great restaurants in downtown, and an easy drive back to the Freeway. Comfortable KS bed, Open space layout, beautiful kitchen, stayed in the shower for hours.. We enjoyed a very peaceful time, not to mention dancing in the Spacious Star Dome, and will definitely be back, maybe for a few nights…

Ukiah was voted one of the top towns in California. Its small town flavor with everything, yet, situated in the wine country, with many swimming lakes, natural hot springs, and giant redwood trees. We even have a redwood tree on our property. Parking is right outside your door in our private courtyard. It is our favorite, because nature and the urban entertainment have been woven into a wonderful balance.

Perfectly located for mid-term stays. Situated in the central area of Ukiah, a five minute drive from the main hospital, in the westside, just up the street from the historic Ukiah Movie Theater. This mid-century masterpiece features a twenty plus high segmented star ceiling with classic round light fixtures. and is only a few blocks away from many restaurants, a bookstore, a nearby small park, and the large Safeway and Coop organic food stores. The interior has period furniture, original art and wall carvings decorating this creative environment. The full kitchen and dining area is sectioned from the huge main pavilion by a dividing wall with open entrances at both ends. The twenty foot tall wall of windows at the Southside, are a truly classic architectural feature with period chairs and tables for reading or just relaxing by the television. The large bedroom and living space is ideal for yoga and dance. There is a separate office area, bathroom and shower. There is a multi car parking area right in front of your entrance. A small sectioned patio under a canopy of trees for nature meditation is at the far end of the parking lot. In the utility room you will find the Speed Queen washer and dryer for your extended stay. If you are a lover of architecture and art, and not only want a great place to stay, but also a rewarding new experience, it is Star Dome Planet.
