Our stay in Cartagena was absolutely incredible! We traveled with 7 kids (ages 5–15) and 6 adults, and the property was perfect for our large group. The home is beautiful, with great decor and extremely comfortable accommodations. The outdoor pool area is gorgeous and became our favorite place to gather. The location in the heart of the Walled City couldn’t be better — we were able to walk everywhere.What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were extraordinary — nothing was too small or too big to make our stay better. Erika was so warm and caring, and her food was marvelous. When one of us got sunburned, she immediately provided home remedies and even helped apply aloe. Julio went above and beyond, even finding an air mattress and air pump so our little one could sleep in our room. Rafa was a top-notch guide — incredibly smart and knowledgeable about the history of the city and country. He made our tour engaging and super fun for both kids and adults, seamlessly switching between English and Spanish. He was attentive to every need, and it truly felt like we could not have had a better team taking care of us.We absolutely fell in love with the staff and this gorgeous property. It was a perfect fit for our large family group, and we would recommend it without hesitation. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

The house was perfect for our holiday stay. The kitchen was fully equipped for all of our cooking needs.The house was immaculately clean.The true highlight was the staff.They were so helpful and accommodated all of our requests.Julio helped us navigate the TV pool area stocked the fridge for us and was super friendly.Erika made us delicious breakfasts coffee con Leche Colombian style. Arepas and huevos.Yaiday was also incredible cooking cleaning and she did some laundry for us and it was folded beyond perfectly.And in the evenings we had the pleasure of having Jersen “J” accommodate our every request. On the first night he escorted us to the restaurant at this time we were only 4 women and not sure of directions so we went to Cande which was our host Sebastian’s recommendation Fantastic place.The next night J took us to see the amazing Holiday lights from the bar Mirador amazing view and sounds of the city and all the local family’s enjoying the Holiday excitement.The next day the rest of the family arrived we were now 10 and everyone fell in love with the house which is gorgeous and so well thought out and the historic beauty highlighted throughout. The family spent a lot of time poolside in the heat of the day and the terrace in the evening for stargazing and moon rise and of course the vibrancy and sounds of Cartagena. We had the best time in this Casa with best host Sebastian and his wonderful staff. Like spinal tap it was an 11 out of 10. Beyond amazing Casa.

Phenomenal place! Located in the heart of the walled city. It was a family trip with 4 adults and a teenager. Large sitting area and dining table. Each room had its own bathroom. The host was very helpful in arranging transports to and from the airport. The house staff was very pleasant and cooked breakfast for us daily(we did supply the groceries). There is a supermarket 1/2 block away. Very clean place. Pool on the roof top was perfect for family relaxing. Enjoyed our time immensely and would stay at the house again.

The house was very nice in a great location. Rafa our evening host was the best host we have had. He spoke great English and he knows all of the places to go to. He is also a tour guide so getting a history lesson was very informative for us. Ask for Rafa you will love him

Family reunion

The staff was amazing and accommodating! Everything was clean and ready to be used when we arrived. The home is in a central location so we were within walking distance from great restaraunts and clubs! There’s a grocery store right on the end of the street that was a 2 minute walk (if that) which was really convenient! Wonderful experience. We did not see a hot tub and the pool was not a heated pool but overall it was a beautiful location and it accommodated all 10 of us comfortably

We stayed at Casa Del Hidalgo for an entrepreneurs’ retreat, and to say it exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail and the warmth of the staff made us feel at home—but better. The villa itself is breathtaking, with a layout and vibe that made it easy to relax and connect as a group.Jefferson, the nighttime staff member, was a standout. He wasn’t just security—he was a true host. He personally escorted us wherever we needed to go and made sure we felt safe and looked after at all times. That peace of mind made a huge difference.And the food? Incredible. Erica and Ingrid cooked meals that had us looking forward to every bite. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love—these women know how to throw down in the kitchen.Casa Del Hidalgo is the kind of place that raises the bar for every trip after. Highly recommend for any group looking to mix luxury, culture, and genuine hospitality.

Casa Del Hidalgo, our casa for 5 days

Recently, myself and 9 friends celebrated my 50th birthday at Casa Del Hidalgo for 5 days. The villa was exactly as specified on VRBO. It was beautiful and spacious. The gracious hospitality of the amazing staff, Ingrid, Erica, Julio, and Jefferson was unlike anything we ever experienced. They left a lasting impression on us and have set the bar high for our next travel destination accommodations. Although, we did not meet the host Sebastian, he communicated effectively during our stay. I provided Sebastian a grocery list prior to our arrival. All items were purchased and receipts provided. Thank you! Returning to Casa Del Hidalgo is a must in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Until next time, be well to your amazing team.

Amazing stay in Cartagena

A big group of friends came to celebrate a milestone birthday and we enjoyed everything about the house. The great living room/kitchen space, the great bedrooms and showers, and the amazing rooftop bar and pool. But most importantly the best part was the service that came with this house. From the daytime staff to help cook, shop or any needs we had, to the nightly staff that helped our every need. This house provides 24-hour service and nothing can beat it. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was magnificent. Clean, fresh and great service. The staff was friendly and unintrusive if you prefer it that way. My only minor complaint was that I had to tell the staff 2 days in a row to keep their voices low at 7 am because they were speaking loudly, which they obliged. I would definitely stayed again and would recommend it to anyone. The location was great as well but the city seems a little dangerous at night and is very chaotic. If you’re there for adult fun I’m sure it’s a blast but for a family trip it’s a little stressful.

I can start by saying the pictures and description on the website does not do justice to this location. I travel often to many countries and have stayed at many upscale places. I would consider this location to be in my top 5 of place I’ve stayed. The house itself is outstanding. There were six of us staying at this location and everyone was total blown away and impressed with how beautiful this place was. The service by the house attendants was unparalleled. Our stay was great but the house attendants made it unforgettable!!!! The location was everything…grocery/liquor store just at the corner of the street and just walking distance to restaurants, nightclubs and shopping mall. Thanks Sabastian!

Great stay!

I highly recommend this place! We had 13 adults and a 2 year old. There was more than enough room and the roof top area was amazing. The location is in the heart of the walled city so everything is within walking distance. The check in process was very smooth and the workers at the house were all great! If we are ever in Cartagena again, we will be staying here !!

Great Place to stay in Walled City

Booked this property for my birthday celebration for me and 7 guests. I couldnt have been more happier with this villa and the staff! The location of the villa is perfect walking distance to everything within the walled city which was great. Our host Sebastian setup a ride for us from the airport and was on hand to greet us and introduce us to everyone. We had breakfast cooked for us every morning as part renting the house ( we had to get the groceries - there is a supermarket right at the end of the block) which was fantastic. The rest of the staff, Diego, Juilo, etc were incredible, always helping us and looking out for us; ie where to go, dropping off forgotten items (we had forgot a cell and ipad when were going onto a yacht and they dropped it off at the marina for us), and just being all around great. I cant recommend this propery and the people enough. And the price while a little expensive the location and staff make it worth it!

Experience Cartagena like a King!!

The house was so much more than we expected. It was perfectly located and central to everything. Sebastian and the house staff were AMAZING! They went above and beyond to make our trip a memorable experience. They took care of our every need!! This will be the ONLY place I stay at when I return to Cartagena!!

Newly renovated, Casa Del Hidalgo has 7 modern and comfortable rooms, each accommodates 2 guests. Each of these have a brand new HD TV flat screen with streaming services available. The villa features a 170 m2 rooftop, divided in two terraces, with a large elevated pool, full size bar, equipped with a comercial ice maker and two mini fridges, and BBQ cooking area perfect for groups and gatherings.

The living and dining areas are protected from the elements and have air conditioning available to ensure comfort at all times.

The living room features a pull down protector screen ideal for watching movies and sports. The kitchen area is equipped with the latest appliances, spacious refrigerator, double oven, commercial ice maker, wine fridge and cooking amenities such as state of the art knife set to satisfy every food enthusiast.

During your stay a maid will be at your disposal to help with any cleaning that you indicate, laundry if required and household issues in general. Breakfast preparation is included in booking fee if groceries are purchased.
