Castaways 7D from ALBVR has incredible views and is in the heart of Gulf Shores!



The Space:

This updated 3 bedroom, 2 bath beachfront condo is the perfect spot for your next family vacation. The unit sleeps 8 comfortably with a king bed in the master, queen beds in both the second and third bedrooms, plus a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The condo has recently been remodeled and has a new kitchen, paint, decor and high-end cotton linens. You'll love the space and the views out to the Gulf of Mexico are breathtaking. At certain times of the year, you can see both the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. Simply put, it's breathtaking. The complex has on-site paid parking, an outdoor heated pool, fitness center, a charcoal grilling area, and an elevator. One of the greatest features of Castaways is the location! Your condo is situated just a few buildings from the Hangout and a ton of Gulf Shores' best restaurants and festivals.

Castaways is in an excellent location to enjoy Gulf Shores, park your car and walk to restaurants. We have stayed in various rooms at Castaways for over 12 years. This room was furnished about the same as others, not new but adequate. While it was quite clean there were some minor maintenance issues that should be addressed. In the master bedroom a door is hanging by one hinge, requiring an effort to close. Also the master bedroom blinds are torn, limiting privacy and need replacement. They are only ‘light filtering’ which doesn’t stop the rising sun from waking you, should be ‘room darkening’. The outside of the fridge’s door is covered in rust. I have photos but couldn’t post them in this review.With the above exceptions we completely enjoyed staying at this location and would gladly revisit.

Amazing location. Condo could use some updates though. Overall, it was a good stay. There was a broken toilet seat and maintenance was there less than an hour after reported. Easy check-in. Good communication.

Amazing time

We absolutely loved the condo and the location of the complex. The condo was so spacious, and the view was incredible. We would definitely stay here again.

The space was amazing! The unit needs a deep clean and a few updates. The couch has a tear in it, dishwasher door was hanging when open, crumbs in kitchen drawers.

Hangout Fest 2023

This was the perfect spot for our Hangout Fest stay! Very close to all the activities and a beautiful view of the gulf! The refrigerator wasn’t working when we checked in but it got fixed right away! Will definitely stay here again next year!

Awesome location

This condo was clean which is a huge deal to me! It does need some updates and the layout is choppy. The location is great. It is walking distance to Hangout and many restaurants. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would likely stay there again.

Elevated did not work one whole day and we had an infant that was tough! The parking lot is way too small- the room was pretty clean on arrival! The size was great! Not enough chairs at the pool to accommodate!! The view from the balcony was Great

All about the view!

Lets start with the view which is the best feature of this property. The Gulf view from the balcony is top notch. However the unit was a litte on the dirty side. Socks and feet were grosly black from walking around in the unit. Vents were full.of dust. Fan bladesdirty.

Vacation 2023

Property was well maintained. Beautiful view of ocean from balcony! Only negatives I can think of was dryer does not dry clothes correctly. Had to put each load in for multiple cycles. The condo sleeps 8 but only 4 forks. Parking is very tight if you have a larger vehicle. This place was everything we expected and did not disappoint. Located close enough to all that downtown has but far enough to stay away from the crowds.

Great place to stay with family and friends.

This place was bigger than expected. The property was great. The beach was great. All the clientel at this facility was great. The only downside is the parking in the parking lot. It looks as if they tried to squeeze as many parking places as possible in a small area. My SUV could barely fit and the kids getting out of the back seat could barley get in or out while in the parking spot. This has nothing to do with the specific condo that we stayed in. Just the parking lot. We ended up forgetting a bag and was able to contact the company. They retrieved the bag and are sending the bag to my house. Great place to stay. I would totally recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for the great stay.

Family visit

Location is great, beach is really clean, however condo was not so great. The condo was surface clean but dirty in other areas. Bugs in lighting, broken oven door, mattresses need to be changed The spring we’re going through in the middle bedroom blinds broken in master bedroom and overall needs a refresh and a really good deep cleaning. Pool was closed without notification and building itself needs a refresh. Overall the location is the best thing about this condo, however would not recommend until it is cleaned and updated. Epically clean the walls, there were stuff on the bathroom was that I don’t really know what it was.
