Beautifully remodeled farmhouse tucked back on a quiet cul de sac in the heart of midway on half an acre. Gorgeous setting and yard with lots of space and beautiful gardens. Ride your bike or walk into town. Midway Main Street is just a mile away with fun shops and restaurants. You also can walk up to Wasatch State park or over to the famous Midway Dairy. Absolutely charming house and location!

We were quite disappointed with our stay at this rental property, especially after seeing the outdoor images online, which were very deceiving. The photos made the home appear much more spacious and well-maintained than it actually was. While the kitchen was the only part of the home that had been renovated and was clean, the rest of the house was sorely lacking in attention to detail. The furniture was old and uncomfortable, with not nearly enough seating for the number of guests the property claimed to accommodate. The yard, which we had hoped would be a nice outdoor space, was overgrown with weeds and the grass was long. The fence was broken, and both the shed and garage appeared dilapidated and neglected. We were also taken aback by the high nightly rate, which seemed unjustifiable given that the property was far from fully renovated. For the price, we expected a much higher standard of accommodation, but unfortunately, the property fell short. It was clear that the home wasn’t ready for rent and needed substantial updates before being listed to the public. We would not recommend this rental until the owner invests in the much-needed repairs and renovations.

2nd rate

This wasn’t a pleasant stay. We emailed the owner about not being able to find the tv remote. I called her phone and left a message. No response. . She responded. It must be there somewhere, it hasn’t been taken out of the house. She said she would see what she could do. I never heard from her again until I emailed her telling her we were leaving 2 days early. The bathroom downstairs had a broken toilet paper dispenser. The shower was moldy and dirty. The floors were dusty. Living room rug was dirty and stained. It was too hot upstairs to sleep. Pillows were old and smelly. The kitchen floor was sticky. When we finally found the remote, it was in a chair along with forks,spoons crumbs and sticky candy. The host never got back to us until we said we were leaving. Her complacency was very blatant. Beware. A 2nd rate rental.

Poor experience

There were no check in instructions and it took a while to hear back from the host with a code to the house. Aside from this, the property was not as depicted. The lawn and exterior were not maintained, there was glass in the sand box, it seemed like it hadn’t been fully cleaned - sheets were damp, bathrooms had hair, etc. And the description claimed it could sleep 12, but there was only space for 8 realistically.

Disappointing

Host did not communicate access information and did not answer phone or respond back to our requests during our entire stay. Our only access was from the back door which was not just unlocked, but wide open. There is no information at the house about rules or what to do on exit. Hot water runs constantly in the master bath tub....not just dripping but running. A nice upgrade on an older house and large backyard for children.

Cute property, some issues left unaddressed

We were disappointed with a few maintenance and supply issues (no bedding on some of the beds, few towels & extra blankets for what the property purports to sleep), and some safety issues (some flooring would have speared one of our guests' feet if he hadn't had shoes on in the bedroom where he was staying. While the owner agreed to address these issues with us, she has not done so as of this review.

Ice Castle get away

We went to see the ice castles with the family and loved being able to stay the weekend. Was perfect for the whole family. Need to come stay again sometime. Everyone loved it.Thanks for the lovely home.

Wedding weekend

We stayed in this midway home for a wedding weekend. We actually held the rehearsal dinner in the backyard. Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed hosting the rehearsal dinner there.

Ok

No communication from host until night before we checked out. The front door was unlocked to just walk in. Address was wrong, we had to memorize from last year how to get there. Upstairs bathtub was dirty. Found balloons and pictures from the 21st birthday party before us. Two out of the three bathrooms ran out of toilet paper. Dishes were still in dishwasher when we got there. Not impressed.

Overall this was pretty disappointing

Review: We spent the month of July here. Pro’s: Centrally located in Midway, beautiful and picturesque tree lined streets and the house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. Garden is large and set up well for kids, with a playscape and trampoline in theory. House is spacious and has enough room for a large party. Suggested improvements: No A/C on the top floor, and in summer it got hot upstairs (~88F) which made it uncomfortable for guests to sleep. This should be disclosed in the listing. House needs some maintenance: door handle falling off interior garage door, garage door doesn’t close properly, bathroom sink drain is clogged. The bath faucet in the master bath leaked for a week before we finally could turn it off and it wasn’t worth doing that every day and risking wasting water so we didn’t use that bath/shower. Showered updates. Informed host and there was an element of nonchalance and “everybody just uses that bathroom don’t worry”. We got tired of reporting things “wrong with the house” so gave up complaining and lived with it. When we did discuss things that need to be improved with host at end of visit, this was met with defensiveness. Master bath also hasn't been competed - concrete in master bath under vanity. So many places in the walls that need patching up and painting. Don’t think it’s fair to describe as a “Gorgeous Remodeled Farm House”. Owner took their time to respond to queries. Yard is spacious but not well cared - trampoline has no netting.

Dirt

The house is in a great location and a good size/layout but it was very dirty. The sheets on the beds on the main floor were all dirty when we arrived as well as the bathroom rugs. We also found old dried dog feces stuck to the family room rug upstairs. It didn’t seem like any of the house had been cleaned before our arrival. The bbq was filthy as well. We had to clean it before we could use it. The air conditioning didn’t work on either level. The temp downstairs was in the high 70’s and in the 80’s upstairs which made it difficult to sleep.

Gorgeous Backyard Wedding

The property was beautiful! Nice big rooms and a really pretty backyard! It was absolutely perfect for our small wedding. Host was polite, responsive, and easy to work with. Wonderful experience that I'll never forget!

Comfortable Stay in the Farmhouse

My daughter and I stayed in the remodeled farmhouse while we were in Midway for her diving certification. Everything was perfect. Clean, well stocked, and we enjoyed the yard swings. We loved the neighborhood- it is a beautiful mix of historic structures and modern homes, with a charming semi-rural feel. Thanks for sharing this perfect place!

Weekend Getaway

My friends and I like to go to Midway once or twice a year to craft or scrapbook. This house was perfect for us. It's a short four minute drive to the center of town or a 20 minute walk. It's in a quiet cul-de-sac. We were able to watch deer coming and going in the early morning and evening times. We would definitely stay here again if its available.

Great family home

I was there with my parents who are in their 80’s and teenage daughter. The layout was terrific with primary suite on the main floor. There were 2 big bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom which gave us all space. We travelled w dogs and the (nearly) fenced backyard and nearby dog park were much appreciated.
