Amaneceres y atardeceres sobre el agua. Limpia y espaciosa casa moderna de 4BR 3BA en un lote de 5 acres con dormitorio en el primer piso y una enorme suite Master BR. Cocina gourmet, pisos de madera noble, camas cómodas, antigüedades y más. Aire acondicionado con cubierta envolvente grande en tres lados y comedor al aire libre, parrilla de gas. We had a great stay! We appreciated the host leaving the Christmas tree and other festive decorations as we were staying over the holidays. The house was great as usual - we have stayed before - with enough room for everyone to spread out and nice places for everyone to gather. The host is always very responsive.

Family Getaway

Great location with the beach, playground and splash pad right there. Beautiful sunrise and sunset viewing from the wrap around deck. Nice property.

The water views from the house are beautiful. But it was a little unclear how to actually access the water. It turns out if you're willing to walk across the neighbor's lawn, there's a very nice trail to the beach. We mainly hung out at the house, doing a lots of cooking in the very well equipped kitchen and playing games and ping pong. The art work in the house was also interesting.

Great location near the beach

Beautiful home and Judy is a great host. Has everything you need and close to a nice little beach and playground. Nice views out over the water, good places to walk, explore the coast. We had a great getaway.

Our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers enjoyed a week in Guilford. The children safely played in the yard and rode their push bikes in the driveway. The privacy and views were excellent. The house easily provided ample space for us all. We walked to the beach and enjoyed playing in the sand and running in the splash pad. Mystic Aquarium and Hamonassett State Park were easy car rides. Our host Judy could not have been nicer. The town of Guilford is very charming and only 1 mile from the rental. We had a wonderful week.

Family beach week

This was a return visit to this property that is just a short walk from Jacob’s Beach and park. This beach is great for children as it is protected from large waves and is shallow for a good distance out from the shore. The house has lots of toys for the children and plenty of room for everyone.

Great place

Great house with nice open layout in the living room, dining room kitchen area which made hanging out with our big group of 8 people very enjoyable. Well appointed kitchen, everything you need for the beach (chairs, towels), etc. Amazing views of the coastal area and the ocean. Communication with the host was very easy. Nice area to explore and enjoy. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!

Fantastic Location - Beach, Water and New Haven

Stayed at this amazing home with my wife and 3 teenage daughters in summer 2017. Walking distance to the town beach and kayaking in the marsh outside the back door was phenomenal. This was a home much more than a vacation house with a beautiful kitchen, views to die for and furnishings that were comfortable in every room. Access to New Haven made this rental the perfect spot for a memorable family vacation.

Just perfect

Our stay at this property can only be described as perfect. My family and I all felt very much at home. The views are quite stunning and we all enjoyed the abundance of sea birds, particularly the family of ospreys. Many conveniences nearby. Highly recommend this property!

Lovely home -close to beach

This is a well equipped home for a family stay. The lower level has lots of toys for children and some games for teens and adults. There was plenty of equipment for the beach and water fun. The beach and playground is a 5 minute walk. Many restaurants are a short drive away.

Beautiful views overlooking Long Island Sound

Judy was a responsive host who met us at the house when we arrived. This beautiful house had water views from all three sides of the wrap around deck. The house was located right across the street from the beach and in walking distance from a couple of local favorite restaurants in the nearby harbor. We had a well needed quiet and relaxing weekend with friends in this gorgeous, tranquil area.

Lived in by owner, not the best option for kids

The house is in a beautiful location with a view of the water, close to downtown Guilford and a short walk to Jacob’s Beach. While the beach is nearby, it’s worth noting that it’s quite rocky and the water is a bit murky.The home is clearly lived in by the owner, which made the stay feel more like being in someone else’s personal space than a vacation rental. The décor and aren’t particularly suited for guests, especially kids. Upon check-in, the host walked us through various appliances in detail, which came off as overly particular. There was no user-friendly guide for the house- just a stack of appliance manuals and a few notes scribbled on a whiteboard.Overall, Guilford is a charming town and we enjoyed exploring the area, but the house and host experience didn’t fully meet our expectations for a relaxing rental.

Fabulous family getaway location

We spent six nights in this home with our adult children, their spouses, and our six year old granddaughters. We were all quite happy to have stayed here. It was spacious enough to gather for meals and games, both inside and on the deck, even when two more family members visited during the day. The basement and yard provided places to play when the kids weren’t at the beach or playground. Everything we wanted was an easy walk or drive. Sunrise, sunset and water views were the icing on the cake. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this lovely home again.

Superb rental!

I wish I could have given this property more than five stars! It’s a gorgeous home, private, conveniently located with amazing views! Surrounded by water. The home is immaculate, well equipped. The jacuzzi and MBR shower were luxurious. The beds are comfortable and the basement “rec room” was a bonus. My family and friends and I felt very blessed to stay here for 2+ weeks. Also of note….the property owner, Judy, is very responsive and helpful. Perfect vacation experience!

Great family vacation

Our 3 grandchildren, our daughter and her husband joined us for a great week at this very beautiful home in Guilford.The wraparound deck gave us an unobstructed view of the Sound with an active hawk's nest that was fun to watch; the gardens next door had spectacular flowers and bird feeders that attracted a wonderful variety of birdlife. It was hard to leave what felt like our own private nature park. The grandchildren (11 months, 2-1/2 and 12) loved being so close to the beach and a great playground, and the location of the house couldn't have been better. We were in close proximity to many great restaurants. We actually ate in many nights - the kitchen was so well equipped and the view from the dining room table couldn't be beat. We used the 2 available kayaks, and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table and the other games in the basement. Comfortable beds, clean and well appointed bathrooms and comfortably furnished family gathering areas made us feel very much at home. We had a great vacation and hope to return. The property owner was very responsive and lovely to deal with. You can't go wrong with this home! Our only criticism was that the amount of lighting in the living room area was a little too dim for reading in the evening. Everything else was fabulous.

I grew up in California but migrated to New England over 25 years ago. I've been everywhere but I love love love to call Guilford home! It's charming, with beautiful views of Long Island Sound and beaches, and great food (lobster rolls are my favorite!). It's also a place that restores the soul. It makes me happy when people come to vacation at my property and leave refreshed and want to come back!

I chose this neighborhood for the amazing ocean views, lovely breezes, relaxing vibe, water sport opportunities and pristine natural setting. The house was built to bring family together and I'm happy to say that it does exactly that! I love that the property is private but not remote. It's very easy to find shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
