Totally renovated and unique beach house, located on Carolina Beach. We are PET FRIENDLY with a fully fenced yard. GOLF CART that seats 6, available upon request for a small rental fee. Minutes away from the boardwalk, the beach restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, the state park, the skate park, Good Hops brewery, frisbee golf, arcades, and 2 boat ramps. 10-15 minutes from Fort Fisher, the aquarium and the Kure Beach pier. Fun ferry ride to South Port for the afternoon. The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood for peace and quiet yet close enough to all the beach fun! Plenty of parking including parking for your BOAT!

This house was perfect for our family and our dog. Everything was neat, clean, and well stocked. Use of the golf cart was helpful to visit our friends just blocks away. Everything was great, except the weather!

Great stay in a quiet neighborhood about 1 mile from Carolina Beach (20ish minute walk). The house was very clean, check-in was seamless, and we received very clear directions from host. Traveled with our dog (no issues at all)—she loved the backyard and the neighborhood. 5 stars—would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!

We loved our stay. The house is just as described. It’s about a mile from the beach but any closer and you might not enjoy the optional golf cart rental which was definitely the highlight! Rent the Golf Cart! The home was very comfortable and I’d happily stay again. If I were stretching to find a suggestion, I’d say please get some quality wine glasses :-). But that’s just me… we were VERY pleased w our stay!

We absolutely love this house. It is our second time staying here and already making plans to come back next year! The house is spotless, the location is great and the golf cart to get to the beach and restaurants is so much fun to ride around town in. I highly recommend staying here.

This house is the quintessential beach house. All weekend, we would find something else to marvel at with the decor. It's obvious this home is well cared for. I didn't communicate much with the host because there wasn't much to ask! Everything was taken care of. We really appreciated the Pop's gift certificate. Having the golf cart was so easy and convenient. The neighborhood was quiet. The backyard was perfect for our dogs and we are thankful for the opportunity to bring them. We will be back to "The Fish House."

We loved our stay at “Fishtales!” The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The golf cart was great to have. We drove it everywhere except when we drove our 4runner to Freeman's park! The fence in the backyard of the house was perfect for our fur babies to get some off the leash time. Unfortunately it rained almost every night so we didn’t get to use the fire pit, but maybe next time! We would love to come back next year. Great location, beautiful house, super clean, easy access, great communication with the owner, the coffee bar was perfect… and we even had bikes to ride. Thank you for sharing your place with us, Amy! It was definitely like a home away from home.

Excellent place to stay!. Very clean in quiet area. Communication with property manage was on point. Will book again, big plus was using the golf cart available for rent making it easy to move around to restaurants and beach!

Awesome vacation rental

This is our second year renting this property. Amy is very nice and is always there for any questions or needs. The property is always clean and I love the area out back to just sit in the evening and relax . It’s in a very quiet neighborhood and I love that you have the option for the golf cart. I hope to stay here every year that we come back. Thank you Amy for a great vacation stay.

Fish Tails @ Carolina Beach

We stayed at fish tail beach cottage for 4th of July weekend 2025 and had an amazing time. The house is the perfect size for a family and it’s pet friendly which is a must for us as our fur babies are our family. The check in process was seamless in every way. Amy was on top of every question we had in an attentive and kind manor. We added on the golf cart for a small extra fee and never drove our cars around the area just cruised the island on the cart which was super convenient! Our boys loved the swing out back and said it was their favorite part of the house lol. The house was stocked with cookware, dishes, paper products, extra blankets, board games, sand toys, boogie boards, and bicycles! There are tons of amazing restaurants in the area and fun things for the family! Highly recommend ordering from Cape Fear Boil Company for a low key night in. Less than 3 miles is the Carolina beach boardwalk and Carolina Beach Lake Park where you can have a fun filled family carnival night and end it off with a calming stroll around the lake while the kids get that last minute energy out. 10/10 recommend staying at this beach gem! Until we meet again fish tails!

First time to Carolina Beach

Perfect family vacation! The golf cart and the size of the golf cart is perfect for a family, we did not use our car one time. We were able to take the golf cart every where and did not have to pay to park, this was a first for our family and it was so much fun to hop in to go to the beach, dinner, grocery store and shops. The house was perfect, very clean! We will be back!!

This house was exactly as decribed in the listing. Perfect for our family's needs. There was an odor of dog when we first arrived and pet hair was found in the silverware drawer, so cleaning dishes/silverware was needed prior to use. The remainder of the house was spotless. I purchased some bakjng and febreez and didn't notice the smell afterwards. The owner communicated quickly with me. The neighborhood was quiet. Parking was plentiful and easy. Pleasantly surprised with a fully stocked coffee and tea station. All bedrooms had TVs and ceiling fans.

Nice updated home close to CB State Park

We stayed there for the good hops 5k. Very clean place. We really enjoyed this home and the big beautiful sycamore trees. The one thing I would say is that floors are kinda slippery.

We were very happy with our stay! Communication was excellent and the property was exactly as described. Very comfortable and clean. We love the location in Carolina Beach and how convenient it was to the beach and town, and we particularly liked the large TV and comfortable couches in the evening. Highly recommend.

Cozy beach bungalow

This is a great place to stay near Carolina Beach! It’s an easy 15 minute walk to the beach or 2 minute drive. House was clean and well maintained. The backyard was a little junked up but overall, not a terrible space. We only used the backyard for our dog but it has a nice little deck and fire pit.

Awesome house

The house was so cute. Very nicely updated and showers were great. Everything we needed was in the kitchen bedrooms and baths and easy to get to. The location was real easy to get to the beach the aquarium the state park and the Civil War museum and trails and quick drive to food and shopping and the boardwalk. Our stay was relaxing and a joy. My first time renting a house and it was Awesome!!! Thanks Amy!

Great value in a quiet location

The home was as described in the listing and reviews. The Keurig pods were a nice touch. Perfect amount of space for us. Clean and the linens were nice on the beds. Appreciated the throw blankets. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to the brewery (dog friendly)! Can even walk a little further to the boardwalk area/beach via sidewalks if desired. We would love to return!

Hello, this was me and my husband's first renovation and we are so proud of our accomplishment. This house means so much to us and we look forward to families creating memories at FISHTALES. We have been on Carolina Beach for 12 years and just love so much this laid back, fun and cute island. There is plenty to do without all the insanity of the busier beaches. We are easy going people that enjoy our life and hope that others will come to Pleasure Island and do the same. We also own a restaurant just a few minutes from FISHTALES called POP'S DINER and hope that we see you there. We take pride in everything we do and have worked so hard to build a beautiful house and an outstanding restaurant, so relax, chill out and enjoy your time here.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This house gives off an industrial but beachy vibe. It is cozy and comfortable yet simple with no clutter but has everything you need. It is off the main road enough that you can enjoy peace and quiet, but you are within minutes to all the excitement. It is a great place in the summer with soooo much to do, but believe me the fall, winter and spring offers so much relaxation, parts of the beach to yourself. long crisp walks, no waiting lists at the local restaurants and a bar stool at every bar for your favorite drinks. It is also a quick drive to Myrtle Beach for the day to do some outlet shopping or some mainstream museums, dining and entertainment.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This house has a huge driveway for RV or boat parking. The laundry room has plenty of storage for your fishing poles and anything that you would like to lock up. It also has an industrial length hose so you can wash your boat easily. The firepit is great for those cool crisp nights and is fully fenced foe privacy. The floors are done with epoxy for easy clean up. There are TV's in every room and a boombox for your music. Our neighbors have chickens so don't be shocked if you see them in our yard or driveway. They are curious but not harmful.
