Great family location, we do not cater to a "spring break" crowd. Neighborhood consists of full time homeowners, apartments, hotels restaurants and convenience store and other vacation rentals. We provide beach gear, EV charger, AC, fire pit, outdoor shower. NO TV or WASHER/DRYER. SMALL DOGS OK.

This property was amazing. Wonderful location, within walking distance to the beach and several great restaurants. It had more than what we needed, when I say fully stocked kitchen, I mean it, all appliances, dishware, utensils, pots, pans, can opener, anything you would need. The host was very kind and communicative. This may seem small, but he supplied ample toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. You could tell that he has gone out of his way to think of ways to make his guests comfortable. It felt like home. I did not want to leave! Overall great experience. Also, very pet friendly, there were dog bags everywhere, property was very safe for my small dog to be off leash in the yard. Very private, very safe. Also, had an electric car charger.

Jim and his place are a Carlsbad gem. We are a couple with a dog and are grateful that dogs are allowed. We also really appreciated his thoughtful amenities like the EV charger, Carlsbad Alkaline water, hot outdoor shower the kitchen set up including a blender (we make a lot of smoothies). Jim also provides beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, bougie board, surf board, and towels)We also loved the enclosed outdoor space which seems like an extension of the indoor space. All the plants, trees, and fountains give the place a private Zen garden feel. Even though the street is just on the other side of the trees, there is almost no noise. Thanks Jim, we're already looking forward to coming back!

We met Jim when we were checking in, and he was super friendly, chatting with us for a bit. Everything was spotless and tidy. We were easily able to walk to and from downtown and the beach daily. Plus, the outdoor area was so peaceful, it was a real treat!

This was a perfect place to stay for us. We enjoyed walking to the beach and into town.The place was super clean and had everything you needed. Jim is a fantastic host, always asking if you need anything and ready to talk and give you ideas of restaurants or sights to see. Definitely will be returning!

We had a lovely stay at Jim’s property. The feelOf the house was great. When you walk around the house it feels more like you are staying at a friends house and not at a rental property. The walk to the beach was very easy and quick plus Jim had some beach supplies (wagon, chairs and umbrella). We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Anniversary Oasis

It was very Zen and Peaceful, the place was put together very well, it was comfortable safe and secure. We enjoyed our stay. Well equipped with all the comforts of home. Super close to the beach. Great location 2 blocks from the beach. Very nice place. Even has a Sparkletts water dispenser in the kitchen. Great yard with fire pit, fountains and tubular bells. Very serene. If I go to Carlsbad again alone or with my wife we’re staying here if it’s available.

UNBELIEVABLE STAY

I have been going to Carlsbad for 15 plus years. This place was the BEST place we have ever stayed at hands down. The owner is on top of everything and the location and amazing courtyard put it over the top. You would be stupid not to select this place for your vacation.
