Indoor & Outdoor Living:
Unit B is located on the lower North side of the property and offers a relaxed, oceanfront atmosphere. After a fun-filled day in the sun, kick back on the couch and enjoy TV or the ocean views, or enjoy an evening BBQ on your private patio.

Beyond your private space, the property features a spacious, shared beachfront yard with lounge chairs, firepit, and outdoor dining areas. It’s the perfect place to soak in the ocean breeze and make the most of your beachside retreat.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and surrounding area was great. Disappointed in the lack of attention to cleaning as the windows clearly hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival as evidence by the finger notes that showed up each morning and cloudy film. Providing a 6 inch squeegee when asking about options for window cleaning was a laughable insult to a guest paying for a 5 night stay. Kitchen fairly well stocked, but the roach walking through the floor wasn't ideal. Lack of beach toys and only two beach chairs was much less than expected.

Love it

Who doesn’t love being right on the beach and able to walk to Carlsbad’s restaurants and shopping. Over the years we have stayed in all three units of this property and we are already looking to rebook again. The units are clean, quiet and picturesque. Tons of amenities. Management is awesome. Barefoot morning beach walks, vibrant ocean sunsets, the sounds of the surf… Five plus stars.

Our teenage kids were able to walk to town.This is an old school, multi unit beach property that has been beat up by the salty sea. But truly, who cares. You're on vacation and outside the entire time. We met the property manager and he was delightful.The unit did everything we needed it to do; warm showers, clean beds, enough kitchen supplies for breakfasts & lunches, washer/dryer. My suggestion would be for managemnt to to replace the bath towels/wash cloths and add more of them.

Great spot, nice to have the ocean right there. Owners wouldnt let us reschedule when we asked due to the bad storm. Turned out ok but was surprised there was no consideration for our request.

Rough on the Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointing entry, unit was not cleaned very well & we felt the online description had been "oversold" as the unit was dated & in rough condition. Lacked basics such as limited towels & closet hangers. The final issue was a circuit breaker that would not reset disabling the use of the kitchen. The management team reactions to these multiple issues were outstanding & they rescued our visit by offering an alternative, more upscale property in Cardiff. While not quite the beachside location we were looking for, the property was convenient & much more comfortable for our group of 4. While the beach location was outstanding, the property itself is tired. It's value is in WHERE it is...NOT WHAT it is. Property Management customer service was prompt, courteous & outstanding...not so for the rental unit.

Great location, needs updating

We enjoyed our stay, the location was great. We loved watching the sunsets and collecting rocks and shells. The property is dated inside and the tub is slow to drain. There is limited stuff in the kitchen and no dishwasher. Overall, we had a great time and would stay again.

Beach stay

Beautiful sounds of waves and unparalelled beach access. Pictures were accurate, and the best views were from the ditchen and dining area. The outside private patio that goes with this unit was a nice bonus. The only negative was the lack of equipment in the otherwise stocked kitchen....dinner on night one was a challenge with only one fork for four people! Coffee the next morning was challenging with one coffee mug! Contacted the support people in the early morning, and the problem remedied by five that evening.

Amazing location

I loved that every morning you wake up to the sound of the waves and can see the sun come up and stare into the endless ocean. I loved going to sleep hearing the waves! Amazing place for peace and quiet!

Worth it!

Beautiful place , perfect view. It isn’t fully equipped with bottle openers or coffee but it was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We had a really sweet time.

We arrived after asking about early check in and told they were just so busy. 3 units in the building and we had two. Funny the other unit had no one until the next day so why they couldn't clean our units first is unclear. This unit sleeps 5 and we had the smallest, cheapest table with 2 chairs, no couch (outdoor furniture set in the living room) and then very few kitchen items. We also rented this unit and C so we could connect. The door on that patio is rusted out and won't unlock. Then after 4 nights we get woken up in the morning to construction on the outside of the building. Scaffolding on one whole side and told it would be the whole building while we were there. Never told this when we spent how much. The worst was the 6th day we went to wash dishes and shower before dinner after being at the beach. Guess what no hot water. Called and told this is not an emergency issue and they would try to get someone out there the next day. The lady was rude. Almost 24 hours without hot water and nothing from Vacasa. 6th day also the scaffolding went on the back of the home. Every window you looked out you see it everywhere. Half the yard was not usable. Felt horrible for the workers who were so nice and felt bad and just trying to do a job. Yet I paid how much on the beach for this and no hot water.

Location, Location, Location!

What a fantastic location to stay in Carlsbad. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants and night life and then it's right on the beach where we spent most of our time. The host provided plenty of towels for 4 adults and the Foosball table and darts added an extra layer of fun to our game nights. The only down side is there is a 4 bedroom unit directly above this unit where you can here every single step the occupants take. Not so much in the queen size bedroom but it made it hard to sleep in, in the morning in the king size bedroom. My only recommendations for the owners would be to add another mirror, anywhere in the unit. If you only have one bathroom with multiple guests, an extra mirror would be helpful. The other would be to leave a broom, so occupants can sweep up the sand that inevitably gets dragged in. Other than those small things, we loved the place! We would come back again.

Great location but that’s about it

We were so excited for our staycation with our friends visiting from arizona! The condo was a great location for the beach with its own stairs right to the sand and was just a short walk to the village which was great. Unfortunately the condo and management of the property itself were extremely unresponsive and unhelpful. The photos of the property showed a couch in one of the living spaces, well it was actually just a small love seat and there were only two awkward round chairs in the living space with the tv so it was not very relaxing nor comfy for movie nights. We did not know that the unit we rented was on the bottom floor and the guests above us (what seemed to be 25 or ore people) were beyond loud until nearly midnight every night. We could hear every footstep and it really sounded like reindeer rolling bowling balls across the floor every minute. It was terrible. We had a three year old with us and thankfully she could sleep but the noise was beyond annoying and so loud. We tried to contact the property management company but they were useless and just kept saying we have a very high volume of calls. We needed a replacement of sheets and our friend did talk to someone finally and they said they would bring them before night. Well they didn’t and we tried to call again and we’re on hold for over 40 min with no answer. The sheets didn’t show up until the next morning :( The kitchen did not have essential items for cooking like oil or butter and there was no wine opener to be found so we literally had to go purchase one. On our last day the sink in the kitchen and bathroom backed up with disgusting green gross water - thankfully we were checking out bc I don’t think anyone at Vacasa would even help us. It’s really quite terrible to spend a lot of money and be treated as if we didn’t even exist. In our opinion Vacasa just rents out to make money and does absolutely nothing to ensure your stay is great. Great location but terrible everything else. I wish we could request our money back.

Amazing location

This beachfront home was perfect, you cannot beat this view and being directly on the sand! Little bit of a walk to food, but walkable. Beach chairs and sand toys to enjoy outside or on the beach. Loved the extra games inside for the kids when it was a little chilly. The one downfall would be the entry gates not having a lock. With the second bedroom having its own entry, and being near the windows and other doors, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving small kids in that room. You can also hear the footsteps from upstairs pretty loudly, luckily the first few nights they weren’t while sleeping, the last night the small children upstairs did wake up early and that was pretty loud. But again, worth the price for beach front.

Stunning Views with a home style feel

I rented this property to honor my moms first angel anniversary with my best friend and aunt. The location and space could not have been more perfect. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and the sunsets were unreal. Very clean and quiet. Thank you for the accommodations. We will definitely be back again!

Overall great place to stay

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. It’s in a great spot right on the beach and close to all the main shops and restaurants in Carlsbad. The building is a little older but everything is functional. The unit it self is good shape. I only have 3 small complaints which should by no means be a deal breaker. We stayed in the room with the king bed and it was fine. No one stayed in the other room with the queen bed however every time I went in there it was freezing cold. There’s a unit above this one and any time someone walks up there it is super loud, if you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Lastly I wish the curtains covered the windows a little better. The windows face the public beach entrance and I felt like people were staring every time they were walking down to the beach. Overall this is a great place to stay and I’d gladly stay here again.

Wonderful Location

Amazing location and view of the beach/ocean. Steps away from the sand. Good amenities are available. Short walk to nearby Carlsbad. Could use a little refresh like fixing some peeling walls and getting the firepits working. More curtains to cover the glass wall by the kitchen for more privacy would be welcome.
