1. Large holes in the wall and ceiling exposing electrical wiring going into the breaker box in bedroom.2. Oven did not work and was filthy looking inside from burned on grease from use over time.3. Down stairs bathroom looked like mold around tub and tile needed grout repair.4. Kitchen not stocked with cleaning supplies or trash bags.When I am paying over 300 a night for a 4 night stay in a vrbo vacation home, this is unacceptable. We ended up leaving a day early because of these conditions. We were in contact with the owners and let them know about these conditions. No mention from them on any refund which would have been appropriate. They offered us to stay at one of their other properties at a discount! No thank you.

Five stars all around. Dolly is awesome and super attentive; such a great host! We had a fantastic time in the cottage. Super clean and very comfortable! I really appreciated Dolly’s excellent communication since the very beginning, when we were trying to decide where to go. It was our home away from home :) thank you so much, Dolly!

A very spacious and well equipped home to get away from it all; but, also convenient to Winchester for a night out. The fenced in areas for dogs were lovely.

We booked the property for a week in early July and had to vacate on the third day because the house was inadequately air conditioned. The photos on VRBO of the outside of this property are outdated, and it appears that they were taken several years ago. I've uploaded photos of the arbor, the hot top cover, and the overflowing trash bins. I contacted the host about the AC and the trash on our first day, and she responded by asking about the thermostat setting, and said she would look into the trash. That was the only communication from the host to this day. I booked the property because it looked so nice, and because almost every review mentioned the host's good communication. That was not our experience.

We’re sorry the stay ended early and that our follow-up to the guest's first message wasn't what she was looking for. We were away for a family medical matter and should have stayed in closer contact. After the guest's note about the AC, a technician inspected the system. It was cooling and reading 68°F. The house has a high-velocity heat pump; during the July heat wave, these systems run hard, and the upstairs can be a couple of degrees warmer than the downstairs. We have not had a mechanical failure with this unit. Trash is on a weekly schedule. When the guest wrote, we arranged an extra collection so it would not sit until the regular pickup the following day. We aim to communicate quickly and keep the house comfortable. We regret that this stay fell short of that.

Came for my daughters wedding and this place was amazing. Awesome place to relax, firepit to chat around, outside table to enjoy a meal was amazing, comfy beds. Just awesome and amazing stay!!

We had a fantastic stay with our family of five! The house is charming, incredibly comfortable, and provided the perfect "home base" for our trip. Our pup especially loved the freedom of the fully fenced-in backyard, and we all enjoyed winding down in the hot tub after a day of exploring.The location offers the best of both worlds. The nearby towns are so welcoming, filled with great restaurants and local coffee shops. We also took the Metro from Ashburn into DC to see the sights; while we loved the energy of the capital, there was nothing better than returning from the hustle and bustle of the city to this peaceful, restful countryside setting.A special thanks to our host, Dolly, who was wonderful to work with. She was kind, respectful, and incredibly responsive to all of our needs. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing family getaway!

Peaceful Stay Close to the City

Such a lovely stay! Short, easy drive from the city and nothing but peace and quiet, with lovely views from the sitting areas inside and outside the house. Short drive to a wonderful sandwich and coffe shop, too!

Nice place for a chill bachelorette

We stayed here for two nights for my best friend’s bachelorette. It was a great location for a chill evening as well as a great starting point for our winery tour. Added bonus was the Jacuzzi!! We loved our stay!

Perfect

The location was very convenient for us to visit family in the area, and the house was absolutely lovely! The kitchen was well stocked, extra blankets and pillows were available, and the property was big enough for us to feel private. I hope to come back some time to enjoy all the outdoor space!

Loved the cottage life

Moonflower Cottage was exactly what we were needing for our girls’ weekend. The house is adorable and well furnished/decorated. Dolly is a wonderful host and was very helpful and communicative. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!
