Visiting family

Clean and comfortable, good communication, well equipped and close to our family. A few areas could use alittle TLC overall a good experience and would stay again when visiting family in the area.

Quiet and safe neighborhood

Cozy and quiet place. Fenced yard area. We needed a place to stay with all the basics as we were spending most of our time with family. Location was in a nice neighborhood close to grocery, gas and coffee.

Wonderful property (clean, cozy, spacious) and kind hosts

We were in the neighborhood for a family reunion. The apartment was cozy and comfortable for three adults, with two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 twin with pull out trundle for 4th guest if needed). The host provided an assortment of shampoos and basic staples like coffee + filters and green tea. (It was nice to have them and not have to run to the grocery right away. Thought the grocery is super convenient.) Plenty of dishes, comfortable seating, fast wifi, a nice little breakfast table, clean towels and washcloths and bedding, good hand soap. It was a very comfortable place to spend three nights and to decompress. The hot water pressure in the shower is low (high enough to shower, too low for hard, hot showers). It seems to be only the shower because the sinks were fine. The property is pet friendly, but it wasn't clear that there would be a pet fee -- it was not mentioned in the listing, and either Vrbo glitched in the checkout or I missed it. Communication with the host about this was very good. The pet fee is reasonable. No pets on the furniture, mention them beforehand, and clean up after them -- also reasonable. Another reviewer mentioned drywall patches. Not a big deal, could be smoother. After we left, I thought I had left my glasses case behind. The host carefully looked through the whole apartment for me -- very kind! I would not hesitate to stay in this property again and to do business with these hosts. They were kind and attentive and we enjoyed their home.

Loved the neighborhood great atmosphere, loved the view of the city from the street. The place was was nice and would stay again!

Not as advertised...

This property is not rental ready. There are multiple areas in the unit that are in various states of repair or needing some attention. Plywood on the wall, unfinished patching of the ceiling, damaged floor surfaces... It has a thrown-together feel - not the coziness the pictures show. The door separating the VRBO space from the upstairs is an interior door at the top of a staircase (with stained, dirty carpet). I would have preferred an exterior grade door that I didn't have to climb up the stairs to see if I could lock from my side. There were simple essentials missing, such as a hand towel in the bathroom. The outdoor space is not welcoming. It's a jumble of a couple tables surrounded by some broken, knocked-over chairs. I've rented VRBO properties for decades. This is the first time I've left after one night. As we were leaving, a law enforcement officer was knocking on the front door of the main level. I requested a refund (in lieu of leaving this review - a chance for the property owner to make it right) and was accused of defamation. I do not feel that this property meets the standards of a VRBO rental.

Comfortable and met our needs

The Cozy Suite met all our needs. The beds were comfortable. It was private. It had every kitchen appliance we needed for cooking. Communication with the property manager was very good.

Cute little place, bigger than expected

We really enjoyed out stay at this cute little apartment. It really ended up being bigger than I thought. My family (4 of us and adults) enjoyed our stay so much. We were only in town for 4 days, and this place met all our expectations for that time period. I look forward to hopefully staying there again in the future when in town visiting family. This house is a short 15 min drive to family's place, making it super convenient in that regard. The queen bed was very comfortable for both my husband and I. The 2 twin beds worked great for my grown sons - one being nearly 6'. In the kitchen, there is everything you could need to cook with, except an oven. We weren't around for that to be a problem, and even if we had been there longer, we would have adjusted what we bought food-wise to be cooked with the air fryer, griddle, small stovetop. The family is above you, and you would hardly know it. They have dogs, which was the only indication that someone was upstairs. They were not a problem, ever, when we slept at night, and only made typical sounds you would expect during the day, but nothing obtrusive. They responded quickly to all inquiries of what is expected of you at check out and the Wi-Fi password.

Price is right!

We stayed in this suite for 7 nights. Comfortable beds and walking distance to stores, restaurants and parks. Big yard for our dog. Owner lives upstairs. No oven in Suite but we didn’t need it. There was food left in freezer and cupboards from previous guests. If I was the owner I would have removed it. Tea towels missing in kitchen along with hand towels in bathroom. These were minor inconveniences. This suite has ‘good energy’. Owner prompt and courteous.
