Great location

The locations is great but a few things bothered our group such as one bath towel in the two ensuite bathrooms, closet in one of the bedrooms filled with golf clubs and other items and no dressers in that room leaving no place for your clothes, sofa in one of the bedrooms is dirty, cleaning person showed up on the last day at 8:30 a.m., let herself in without any announcement and proceeded to begin cleaning even though checkout time is 11:00 a.m. and someone came into the place when we were out (we could tell because the outside lights were on when we returned).

I am sorry that we did not meet his expectations. However, there is a fully stocked linen closet with piles of towels in the main hallway. The golf clubs in the closet can be used for free by any guest. No one except the maid goes into the house without permission except for necessary repairs when our maid is present

Amazing Home, even more amazing host

We stayed in Craig's house for 5 nights over new years. What a great home, with everything you could want. We enjoyed the facilities (Golf, Indoor Pool, Gardens). Craig had a full book of recommendations for food and activities which was very helpful being our first time visiting. We would 100% book with him again and hope to return to his beautiful oasis in the mountains.

The house had everything we needed. Craig responded quickly and was ready to help if anything was needed. The housekeeper is very sweet and accommodating. The veranda with fire place was well used as the view from it is beautiful. Lovely property and hosts, highly recommended.

WONDERFUL Home/PRIME Location/EXCELLENT Value

Certainly one of the finest homes in prestigious Valle Escondido, staying here combines the best of a resort holiday with a luxurious (and huge!) private "getaway". I've read all the 5 Star reviews--all true! I will add a couple of things: the two master suites on opposite ends of the home make it just perfect for couples or singles traveling together. The deep soaking tub in the primary master is a rare treat in Panama. There are some very fine pieces of native artwork displayed (molas and basketry), setting the decor above that of most rentals. The 20 minute walk down into town is quite pleasant and there are plenty of taxis to bring you back up. Also easy to use the house phone to arrange taxi pick-up. Very pretty restaurant (by a babbling brook) with good food & service, GREAT spa & salon, beautiful walks and scenery --- All just minutes from your front door! Very "together" owners and the indispensable Velkis keep everything running smoothly ensuring maximum ease for guests.

Wow - Just Wow.

The house is just beautiful and amazing. We spent the week with another couple and had a lot of fun. The caretaker was very nice. The gardener set out bananas from the property for us to feed the birds. Although we knowingly visited during the rainy season - with the amazing patio, our visiting and wine tasting was not interrupted in the least bit by the weather. The owner made great arrangements for us to arrive VERY late. Security escorted us right to the door and gave us the keys. We highly recommend the house.

Luxury and lovely!

This house is amazing! Perfect location and amazing facilities. The indoor pool is perfect for the rainy evenings or days. The steam room and spa are nice especially after hiking. The kitchen has everything you need to feel at home, and the laundry room is a plus. My favorite spot was the terrace with the view, and the fireplace for the cold evenings. This place was perfect for my family. Venizio and Velkis were super nice and helpful. Craig was super responsive, and all the information provided was on point. There are so many activities to do, that even a week was not enough. Boquete Outdoor Adventures is around the corner, and we highly recommend them. Lerida has a nice tour for outdoor lovers to learn about the birds and plants in the area (ask for Cesar). Beach anyone? We drove to Boca Chica and took a boat taxi to Bolanos Island ($120 roundtrip) for 6 people and they stay with you all day until you are ready to come back. We used Elvis Villalobos ‪+507 6816‑7407‬ whatsapp. Tree Trek it's awesome, and the kids loved it!!! Forget the Hot springs, but visit the cangilones de Gualaca. The lost three waterfalls trail was challenging, and it did not disappoint. Overall, one of the best rentals we have stayed at on our travels around the world. A wonderland

After staying at this beautiful estate home for one week recently, we concur with the previous reviewers. Pictures can't possibly do justice to this enchanted place. The town of Boquete is one of the most charming spots we've ever visited.. up in the mountains so the weather is always mild and lovely. The volcanic soil is rich so flowers and beautiful greenery are all around. You don't have to leave the expansive patio of this property to experience this beauty as the gardens here are amazing and the breezes so refreshing. Colorful birds are constantly visiting - hummingbirds put on a show for us when we filled the feeder each day. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location in Valle Escondido is perfect as it's very close to town, yet feels like it's own little escape from reality with stunning landscaping and a creek running through. For a small town, Boquete has numerous restaurants and all of them are great! We never ate at the same place twice. If you want to cook at home it's no problem as the kitchen is fully stocked and a nice little supermarket in town has all you would need. We enjoyed hiking the trails and taking the tour of Dos Jefe's wonderful coffee plantation. Most of all we enjoyed bird watching on the patio. We highly recommend this property. The owner and property manager are both super friendly and helpful. The property itself is stunning yet comfortable, while convenient to everything in the area.

Fantastic Stay at Valle Escondido

This property at Valle Escondido has to be seen to be believed! When we first arrived and told a local that we were staying at Valle Escondido he said that it was "Paradise" and he was right! The community itself is an amazing place, but the owners have really spared no expense in building and outfitting this wonderful property. The landscaping is so beautiful, with hundreds of tropical plants and shrubs covering the yard surrounding the home. While technically a "gated community", it does not feel like one at all. Most of the security comes from the fact that the community was built inside a crater surrounded by vertical walls of greenery. But to be honest, Boquete felt very safe anyways The home itself is very spacious with a fully stocked kitchen and all the required necessities to self-cater if you desire. The internet is as fast as the States! I've been to places where you have to bring your own salt & pepper. The owners go above and beyond in providing much more including a whole bag of local coffee, spices, oil, etc. You could easily prepare gourmet meals and enjoy them right on the massive deck. The deck overlooks the beautifully manicured gardens where beautiful birds abound. Just sit on the outdoor couch or chairs and be amazed by the beauty of the place! Overall, I would highly recommend this beautiful property. It is a mere 10 min. drive from the town center where you'll find lots of shopping and restaurants. One consideration is that you would definitely want to rent a car of you decided to stay here. The walk to town is about 20-25 minutes, but to get around Boquete and really appreciate the area, a car is a must. The owners can connect you with a reputable rental car agency. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing place to spend your time in Boquete

This place is really beautiful. We came for a week and found the home to be an amazing place to spend our time. There are so many flowers, fruits and birds. The on site caretaker, Vilkeiz, was attentive and spoke English very well. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is loaded with all the tools you will need to make a great meal. We spent most of our time on the deck listening to the water rush by and watching the birds. A real treat. If it is available and In your budget stop looking around and book this place. You won't be disappointed!

Truly magnificent !

When we arrived at this home we were amazed! It was even better then pictured in the post. The home quality is apparent and includes quality furniture, appliances, and cooking supplies. The property manager/ housekeeper is a wonderful lady. Very helpful, with excellent English. The Valle Escondido community is beautifully landscaped with spa, golf course (challenging), and restaurant. We also had the opportunity to meet the owners who are wonderful people. Highly recommend this property. Hard to leave!

Esquisite respite

We traveled here with another couple to explore the area and have a much needed rest. The minute we walked through the door we were elated with the warm and welcoming feel of the home. Each room is tastefully designed and is even better than the photos. It is soooo flawlessly well-maintained. The views from the patio are magnificent and I could have spent every second there. We cooked breakfast, some lunches, and several meals at night. The kitchen had everything we needed The home is close to town, markets and many restaurants...our favs were The Rock, Art Cafe La Crepe, the bar restaurant at the Panamonte Hotel. The whole area is fun to explore...we loved the private coffee tour w/ a friend of the owners. Temperatures are so mild. We went to the spa and swam and also enjoyed massages. I love great homes and would rate this a 10+!!

Amazinf property!

We found this house to be much better than the description. It is located in a magical valley that seems almost like a Disney village, it is so perfect. In addition to the indoor dining and living with plasma TV and digital cable, there is an enormous outdoor living area with fireplace and dining table. The house was spotless and well-maintained with breathtaking gardens all around it. The owner was extremely helpful and suggested several activities for us to enjoy while we were there. I would recommend this property to anyone and, in fact, have already done so. It is a superb value!

Our week in Boquete

My family and I spent a week here in Oct.2010.Out of the 100 or so homes we have rented around the world,this was hands down,the most comfortable,and the most beautiful! The pictures of the home do not begin to describe the views,and home was spotless.We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace on the patio. Although it is in a gated community,it has the feel of being in the country.The restaurant at the club house was excellent,as were all the amenities.The care taker speaks good English,and was always available for questions.The town of Boquete,is charming,and the coffee plantations are all around you.The mountain drives are breathtaking!Driving around is easy,and there are many day trips to enjoy.I have recommended this home to friends,however,I was tempted to keep it a secret!

Exceptional!

We stayed here in mid-December with our 2 children. This house is wonderful in many ways: beautiful landscaping, open design, outdoor views and quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed feeding and watching a variety of birds right on the open terrace. The housekeeper speaks excellent English and was a great source of local informaton. The indoor pool, workout room and raquetball court at the Country Club also added to our enjoyment. I would definitely stay here again.
