Con una ubicación elevada en la ladera a lo largo de la tranquila costa este del lago de Como, cerca de las famosas ciudades turísticas de Bellano y Varenna y a un corto trayecto en ferry desde las famosas ciudades de Bellagio y Mennagio, este hermoso ático de reciente construcción es ideal para hasta 4 personas. personas.

La propiedad cuenta con fabulosos techos con vigas a lo largo de todo, creando un hermoso y romántico ambiente estilo chalet de esquí, una vida de planta abierta con una cocina moderna y elegante equipada con unidades de color burdeos y crema, horno a gas, cafetera, tostadora, microondas, nevera-congelador y lavavajillas.

La sala de estar y el comedor de planta abierta ofrecen el lugar ideal para relajarse y entretener a los huéspedes con cómodos sofás de cuero, TV de pantalla plana, reproductor de DVD y equipo de música.

La propiedad cuenta con calefacción central en todas partes y también hay una acogedora estufa de leña en el salón. El agua caliente se proporciona a pedido desde la caldera combinada.

Quiet stay with stunning views

We spent a lovely few days in this spacious, super clean apartment in a quiet part of Lake Como. The apartment is well constructed and modern with many thoughtful touches. We had a great time, beautiful views, easy travel to Varenna, Dervio, had a great meal at the restaurant at bottom of hill near the castle, La Taverna del Castello. We speak very little Italian, but were able to make it around just fine.

This was a great place to stay. Clean, quiet, great view, but a little isolated.

We loved staying there, but it was difficult walking there from the train station with our suitcases. If you rent a car, the parking is still difficult, but if you enjoy not having a car and walking, it was really beautiful and peaceful! We loved it anwill try to come back!!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. However, I would point out that there a number of parking options: as well as the private garage there is a free parking area on the development and it is also possible to park on the road in front of the property.

A lovely spot with gorgeous views of Lake Como. In hindsight, I am surprised that some stayed here without a car, as transportation around the lake can be a bit of a challenge. But we found it ideal with our little compact that fit just fine in the cozy garage and easy enough to pop in and out to journey off to the local towns and beyond in our week-long exploration of the area. You certainly are not staying in one of the busy, popular locations when you rent this apartment. But if you like things a bit removed and a bit more peaceful, this is your place.

We stayed at this property for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed it! The apartment was clean, tidy and had everything we needed along with a stunning view over Lake Como. Fantastico!

What a lovely property! The manager was so wonderful in instructions prior to arrival. The view is beautiful and though there were so many things to do in the area, once there, we were tempted to just cook and enjoy the place and the view!! This is a gem of a place and I can only hope to be so lucky to return some day!

Outstanding!

This apartment is a great find! stunning views and large and well equipped. The pictures in the website do not do it justice! We loved just sitting on the terrace, having supper and looking out onto the lake. The host was exceptional in her communication and we found the apartment easily. We had hired a car for our stay, but you could easily stay here without a car. The bus stop is at the bottom of the road - 10 mins walk up/down the hill. The bus would take you all around the lake.Thanks Sue for a great few days.

Amazing view - nice stay

We had a nice stay in Sue and Martin apartment. The view is unforgetable. Parking the car is not so easy as explained by our hosts and the neighbours have some tips to help you. It is easy to drive to Varenna to take the traghetto with your car and visit the opposite shore of the lake.

Stunning view, nice place

Pictures don’t do justice to the view that awaits the renter of this apartment! The lake and the surrounding mountains are stunning. The apartment is nice and comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy the view. I would recommend getting there during the day since it can be a bit tricky at night. Pay attention to the fact that there are 3 flights of steps to climb, but if steps are not a problem, the view is totally worth it!!!

Lovely view and great appartment

We stayed here two years ago and like then it was amazing. We had a nice phonecall with Sue, the owner of the appartment a few days before departure. She gave us the info we needed to have a nice stay. The view is still one of the best we have seen. The appartment is nice and clean and has everything available for al our needs. The locals are very nice and it’s perfectly situated between all the highlights lake como has to offer. There is a train station nearby which we used a lot. Also the lake como is nearby for when you want to swim with a nice view.

Beautiful

Beautiful location with all the amenities to make a self catered stay enjoyable and comfortable. Easy access to Milan and St Moritz. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas with carols and a band playing downstairs on Christmas Eve. That was lovely and quaint. Shopping centre is really close by and local pizza is fantastic. Very relaxing and peaceful. Sue gave us spot on and precise instructions for everything we needed. Very amenable host. Would definitely return for another visit.

Fantastic apartment with amazing views over the lake

It was very clean, lovely furnishings. Everything you need for a holiday. Incredible large balcony with uninterrupted views of the lake. Walking distance to the train station, beach and excellent bakery/village shop. The walk back to the apartment is up a steep hill. Note that we have a big car and had to park it on the road next to the apartment building. Also for parking in and around Lake Como, a smaller car would be better so we found being near the train and ferry very helpful and we didn't need to use our car the whole time we were there.

Comfortable home with great views.

We found this a great place to relax, especially sitting on the deck overlooking Lake Como in all its different personalities from hour to hour and day to day. The kitchen is well equipped and the leather couches comfortable. Although Sue and Martin live far from their condo, they responded promptly to requests for assistance. We discovered the one-hour hike from the condo up the mountain only late in our stay: it was exhilarating and afforded stunning views of the lake. The bakery lady in Dorio was friendly and helpful. Our two favorite restaurants in the vicinity were the castle restaurant in Corenno Plinio and Il Crottini. The local fare and service were truly memorable. Our stay was delightful and we would highly commend this place to others.

First visit to Lake Como

Sue and Martin are great hosts and made sure we knew how to get keys etc. The apartment has beautiful views and well equipped. The only thing that keeps it from all 5’s is location. I think it is easier if you have a car. There are no taxis that we ever saw in Dorio. It is a difficult climb up to the apartment when hauling bags. We are good hikers and once we knew shortcuts to town and train, it was easier. We had a couple of rainy days, so we were hrateful we had such a nice place to enjoy when out of the rain. Thank you Sue and Martin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Dorio, on beautiful Lake Como. We will definitely visit again. The view from the apartment is spectacular. This cannot be over-stated. You really must see it. The apartment itself is lovely - well-equipped, clean, and in excellent condition. Our host, Sue, was second to none with her communication, assistance, and attention to detail. We couldn't have dreamed of a better host. We are so very grateful for our time at the apartment and exploring the surrounding area. There is a huge variety of things to do, including all imaginable activities on the lake, exploring beautiful towns and villages the area has to offer, and even a day trip into Switzerland to explore St. Moritz. You will not regret choosing Lake Como for your vacation. You will definitely be glad you stayed in this beautiful apartment over-looking the lake!

Beautiful, Peaceful, Comfortable, Perfect.

We were so very happy to have the chance to stay at the lovely BellaDoria Villa. It was a welcome change in pace in the midst of a tour across Europe. The beds were very comfortable--great linens, towels, kitchen items (loved the wine glasses)--as were all the furnishings. We sat on the deck for hours watching the lake and loved every minute of it. The condo is located in a quite area, close to hiking trails--which were excellent adventures during the day. Sue was very helpful with everything and the process was very easy. The property was very clean and well maintained, as well as safe. We can not wait to return. We did not have a car and did fine with staying at the villa. You have to be ready to walk, but the place is so pretty it is very pleasant to walk to the station (trains leave every hour to nearby towns) and easy. We might bring a car next time to explore the area even more.

Few day stay in Dorio

Whether it was poor research on my part or something else we were all a little surprised at just how small the town of Dorio was upon our arrival. The home was great and provided us what we needed for our stay. Supposedly you can be fined up to 300 euro if you get throwing trash away in the wrong containers wrong which made us very worried and we ended up taking our trash with us when we left ha! The view was incredible and Sue was very attentive to checking in prior to our trip. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with very little access to groceries, restaurants, people, etc. then this is the perfect spot for you. We were not made aware of the Dorio train station until we googled it ourself, which was a HUGE win for us so we could transport between towns. If you are driving then this location is perfect as you can make your way around as you please. If you are taking the train and do not have a car then it may not be the best option unless you are okay with being tied to the train. There is one small restaurant in town, which is over 1/2 a mile down a hill and it had an incredible dinner our last night. Lastly, if you are hoping to use the taxi service to get from place to place be aware that you need to speak Italian or have someone is able to to help you.

Schöne Wohnung, schöne Aussicht, sehr sauber, Küche perfekt eingerichtet, leider konnte man im Masterbedroom(Bett 140x188 aber Matratze 135x175) nur alleine Schlafen, denn es ist gerade mal ein Teenybed, Füsse lagen in der Luft - schade, kann man für Leute ab 167cm nicht empfehlen. Das andere Bett im 2. Zimmer Matratze schlecht. Erfreulicherweise haben wir noch Bettwäsche gefunden. Also gut schlafen war einfach nicht - und das im Urlaub, nächtes mal wieder Hotel

Vielen Dank für ihre Kommentare und die 5-Sterne Bewertung. Es tut mir leid, daβ sie mit den Betten nicht zufrieden waren. Es überrascht mich ein wenig, da das Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer eine europäische Standardgröβe hat. Mein Mann, der 1.80 m groβ ist, hat in diesem Bett immer gut schlafen können. Was die Matratze im zweiten Schlafzimmer angeht, so ist es sicherlich so, dass persönliche Präferenzen (weich, hart, usw.) hier eine Rolle spielen können. Jedenfalls hat sich bisher nie jemand unsere vielen Gäste über die Matratze beklagt.

I have always had a love of Italy and the Italian lifestyle ever since I lived in Siena whilst studying Italian at University. I never tire of the Italian lakes and especially the sheer beauty and majesty of Lake Como. The views from the apartment are breathtaking and I hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as I enjoy visiting the area. In my spare time I am also a magistrate and I consider myself trustworthy and reliable.

Dorio still preserves all the features of a typical village on the lake and sits in a sunny position on the slopes of Mount Legnoncino, enclosed between the gorgeous bay of Piona and the promontory of the castle of Corenno Plinio, a picturesque medieval village which is another pearl of the lake.

Dorio ia about a one hour drive from the Milan airports of Linate, Malpensa and Bergamo and is easily accessible both by car and by train. A short drive away are the most important towns on this side of the lake - Colico, Varenna, and Bellano which offer a wide range of tourist services, leisure centres, restaurants, shops, sports and lake activities.

By using the lake ferries the famous picturesque towns of Maggiore and Bellagio are only a short journey away.

In the winter you can quickly reach the most popular ski resorts of the area. Dorio is about one hour drive from Madesimo, Chiesi in Valmalenco, Aprica and Engadina. The ski resort of Chiesa in Valmalenco is easily reached just an hour by car and rises to 3,000 metres giving good snow cover up until April. There are a great selection of slopes for all levels as well as panoramic views, ski hire shops and an excellent ski school.

Gorgeous lake and mountain views! The east side of Lake Como has the benefit of the sun late into the evening when the west side of the lake is in shadow. It benefits from a better road network which is not clogged up with tourist buses in the summer, as well as having a railway line with direct trains to Milan and onward destinations. Dorio has not suffered the blight of mass tourism which has effected many of the towns on the lake but continues to exude an original and unblemished charm.
