Updated 2 bedroom, 2 bath main house and a newly remodeled and expanded 1 bedroom, 1 bath log cabin. High speed internet and Dish cable, tv. Sleeps 8 people total.
The main house master suite has a king size bed & master bathroom. The guest room in main house has a queen sized bed and a second bathroom.
The log cabin has a queen sized bed and a new leather queen sleeper sofa. There are flat screen TV’s in each bedroom and living rooms over the 2 natural fireplaces.
The log cabin comes equipped with a kitchenette a mini fridge/freezer, microwave and a keurig coffee maker. It has a recent updated full bath.
Main house has updated kitchen & baths with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, newer washer and dryer, newer flooring, newer tile showers, newer lighting throughout.
This property has a beautiful deck overlooking Lake Michigan and comes with 130 feet of private beach frontage. Enjoy some of the most amazing views of Lake Michigan from this property!

We had a fantastic week in Harbor Springs. The location is beautiful, and it was great to have private beach access just across the road. Both decks were comfortable and in excellent locations for enjoying the lake and the stars. The cabins had everything we needed and plenty of space for the whole family. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Beauty and peace

We loved our stay at this Harbor Springs location. Nice to be out of the hub-bub of town. The lake views were spectacular and the home and cabin were super clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook in and have a campfire. Would love to stay here again!Thanks for this offering!

the picture with the lake was a bit deceiving, we didn't realize we had such a walk to water. All healthy adults so no issues. From the one pic we thought drop to water was smaller. Enjoyed spending time at the beach area on Lake Michigan. Liked that we had a cabin in the woods at beach just thought beach was across street and closer

Family time on the Lake

We loved the property especially the log cabin and beach access the lake side deck was our favorite spot every sunrise and sunset.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property.! The house was very nice and the location was perfect . We loved the deck overlooking Lake MI and our dogs loved the trail down to the beach! The little guest cottage was so cute and we loved the decorating in the cottage!

Beautiful Lake Michigan Location

A wonderful property away from the hustle and bustle! Perfect for our family vacation with our adult children and grandchildren. Plenty of space and we had the beach all to ourselves the entire week. We enjoyed swimming every day, the water was crystal clear and the sunsets were spectacular viewed from the deck!

Lovely!

We loved our stay in The Happy Place Cottage! Location is perfect, the cottages are warm and inviting, and everything was immaculately clean. Sharon was quick to communicate and accommodated our VERY last minute request to book. The lakeside deck has beautiful views, and trail-walk down to the beach is super fun and easy. Wonderful visit - wish we could have stayed longer!

Quarantine Paradise

Enjoyed beautiful views and sunsets with my family. Home was very clean and comfortable. Sharon is communicative and very concerned that you enjoy your stay. She was even available to contact the power company quickly when there was a wind storm that briefly knocked out the power. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Spring ski trip

We spent a week spring skiing at Nubs and the Highlands. Both are a short drive from this home. The place was cozy and well appointed. The view of Lake Michigan was nice, but access to the lake would have been a challenge with snow cover on the steps and the hill down from the road to the lake.

Our #1 Favorite VRBO Home Has a New Winner!

Every year my wife, father, and myself rent a house on VRBO up north for the fall. We've been doing this for about 10 years now. The house we stayed at for year #2 WAS our favorite until we stayed here! This has a 1-of-a-kind location, home (including everything in it) is incredibly comfy, and the owner was quick to communicate any questions or suggestions. We have always planned at staying at a new place each trip. We seriously discussed just coming back here. If you're looking for a quiet private place with a phenomenal view, you've found it!

Breathtaking Views

Our family trip, with our grown children, was such a precious time at this beautiful rental. The magical views from the living room made us pinch ourselves. The private Bluff Deck is an amazing place to catch the sunsets. Don't forget to explore the private beachfront. The cabin is in a quiet location on legendary M119 but close enough to make a trip to Mackinaw to ride bikes around the island. Pets are very obviously welcome with special touches, yet rental is very clean. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to prepare cozy meals from scratch. Last but certainly not least, from beginning to end the host was very accessible and gracious. We certainly plan to return!

Post-Labor Day vacation

The cottage is in a super quiet lakeside location. Ideal for traveling to Mackinac and places in the UP. Nice facility but lacking supplies and not easy to resolve situation due to manager and owner living remotely. Would recommend with caveat of being prepared to provide basics ( ie TP, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towels, cooking oil, and cleaning a very dirty grill. Owner did refund cleaning fee and paid for our supplies and was appropriately apologetic - and I appreciated this. Manager was less helpful. In fact, manager was slow to resolve issues and made us feel we were being somehow unreasonable asking for a clean grill and obtaining supplies our 4th day into our visit. These details did not ruin our vacation but this was not our typical welcoming VRBO experience. Still a beautiful cottage.

We've already booked again for next summer!

Very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Plenty of space for my family of four (and pup) plus my elderly parents to spread out, relax and enjoy. Fantastic location - private, serene, with beautiful wooded views on 3 sides and the gorgeous westward view of Lake Michigan out the front. We ate al fresco on the deck all week (taking advantage of the nice grill) and soaking up the lake views. We loved the observation deck access and short staircase/cedar and birch lined path to the beach -- though watch for poison ivy as it was everywhere! Lake Michigan was surprisingly warm this year, but the always changing beach was all stones, making it a bit difficult for our older family members to traverse but wonderful for Petoskey stone hunting! Sharon is a fantastic host -- she was very quick to respond when we had a couple issues arise and resolved things quickly. Very kind and a pleasure to speak with. Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay -- lots of great memories made! Can't wait to return next season!

Relaxing Get Away!

Sharon was an excellent communicator and responded very promptly to all messages. She was a great host and gave clear directions, etc. I In addition, she was very accommodating in our last minute stay. The cabin is in a great stretch of M 119 along The Tunnel Of Trees; beautiful scenery and an easy trip into Harbor Springs. Great view of the lake from the house with a phenomenal lookout deck with patio furniture provided. The beach is quite a long walk from the property so if you have small children, are elderly, or disabled the many steps may prove more challenging. The house was equipped with a high end kitchen (appliances, countertops, and cabinets including cooking and eating necessities such as pots/pans and dishes/silverware), bathrooms, and many of the small things one may forget to pack. The house was set up very pet friendly with a small fenced in run and a provided crate and dog beds. The house would be a good size for a couple or a couple with 2 to 3 kids. There is also a small studio cabin on site that would accommodate a 2nd couple nicely. Awesome exterior common areas with plenty of seating around the fire pit. In conclusion very nice property with a fantastic owner; would stay again!

A Lot To Like

There was much to like about this property. The beds were all very comfortable, not just the master bed, as is the case in many rentals on Lake MI. we have stayed in. We loved the little house. The lake view from the front window is very nice. The little covered deck on the way down to the beach was also very nice. Also the home gave us some extras other rentals did not such as extra toilet paper and condiments. The refrigerator was new and a nice size with lots of ice. Also they had some nice channels on the telly. One issue was that the fan over the stove seems to vent to nowhere, and so it fills the house with smoke when cooking. To prevent that all of the smoke detectors have been disconnected and sit in drawers. Also the dishes were dirty on arrival and chipped. Dishwasher soap dispenser sticks shut, so mystery solved on why dishes come out with coffee stains. Blue couch in living room has a few rips in it and has seen its day. Lastly, it is a looong walk down to the beach and over a lot of rocks to hit the water and sand. We did not use the beach that much due to these conditions. Over all we enjoyed our stay. We very much appreciated the opportunity to bring our dogs. That was actually the reason we chose this rental. As rentals go that allow pets this one is the best one we have found on Lake MI.
