Welcome to Historic Bungalow- this garage apartment was built in 1935 and was beautifully restored to it's original, Craftsman-style charm. Located in a historic neighborhood Centra Austin, you can walk to the UT stadium, nearby restaurants and an easy ride downtown, Town Lake, shopping or anywhere else in Austin. This apartment is solid, cozy and has all the amenities including TV, wifi, washer/dryer, full kitchen and more. Yes! There is free parking:)

Wonderful bungalow

Beautiful two bedroom bungalow, a short drive from all key areas of Austin. Our family had a great stay, would thoroughly recommend.

Great historic apartment right by the UT stadium!

We love this place, and the owner is really nice. Stayed here twice so far, and I’m sure we’ll be back!

Clean and cozy

This was a great place to stay as we spent 4 nights in Austin for ACL. The apartment was clean, stocked with everything we needed, and in a great location. The hosts were easy to contact and very welcoming.

Great location and Property

We loved our stay in Austin! Katie (host) was very attentive and helpful. Very clean accommodations, well stocked supplies in kitchen and bathroom. Great location - we walked to and from UT game. Would stay here again!

Family weekend downtown

Great location! Apartment was clean with everything a family of 4 needed. Katie was super responsive during our stay. Highly recommend for a quick getaway.

Cute and convenient garage apartment

I was in town for an alumni event at UT and this was the perfect location to stay so I did not have to mess with a ton of traffic and was still close to campus. The décor was super cute retro with a bunch of old radios. Very cozy and clean, and had everything needed for the weekend. Owner was very responsive.

Perfect Austin Bungalo

We came down for a 3 day visit. Place was perfectly set up and geographically situated that we were always close. We visited South Congress and the Bats and were 10 minutes away. We went to Mount Bonnel and were 15-20 minutes bc of traffic. We will stay again when we visit Austin.

Charming, Cozy, and Comfortable

My husband, my 30-year old son, and I were visiting my daughter who lives nearby. We couldn't have been more pleased with all the amenities offered by this Vrbo apartment. The kitchen has every cooking supply you might need as well as many other items you might need during your stay. We all curled up on the couch and enjoyed watching movies, and the big dining room table was fabulous for board games (which we brought with us) as well as eating meals together. The beds were all comfortable. In short, we had a wonderful stay and we'd be happy to come back and stay here again.

Bungalow Beauty from the Past!

This early 1900’s garage bungalow was perfect for us ,especially the location! Uber service was great from this spot. The owners did a beautiful job in restoring and maintaining the place. It is a little jewel! The online indoor photos were accurate. The inside was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked for our short stay. The owners were helpful , friendly and quick to respond to any needs or questions we had. Parking was available for one car on the property . All others had to be parked around the corner on 37 or 38th street. We hope to rent this little jewel in the future! ☺️

Great location and clean

This is a pleasant place to stay at. It is conveniently located near the Moody Center and DKR Texas Memorial Stadium. The grocery store (H-E-B) down the street was an added plus. The home was very clean and comfortable. We slept well since the air conditioner kept us cool in the hot Texas weather. Check-in and check-out was an ease as the host kept in contact with us in reference to that. This place is nothing fancy but it is charming, clean, and cozy which is my priority. A couple of things in my opinion that would make this place even better would be a ceiling fan and a TV both in the second bedroom. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

Wonderful property close to UT campus

I had a wonderful stay with my parents and teenager at this adorable guest house. It is about a 5 minute drive to the UT campus and very convenient to central Austin. The guest house has been restored in the same style as the owners’ home and is lovely and very clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a full size fridge, stove, coffee maker, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, etc. The beds are made up with nice linens and were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The living room with sofa, a comfortable chair and a table and chairs was a nice place to relax in between outings. Katie, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful and checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. She also was happy to send me a list of local restaurant favorites when I asked. The guest house also came with a parking spot on the driveway which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this guest house and would stay here again!
