What an excellent place to stay near Turkey Run State Park. About a 10-minute drive, and it was a nice option for those who don't want to set up camp, but still get all the benefits of the park. While we weren't there for much, the beds were super comfy, the neighbourhood was still (so quiet), and the common areas for shooting pool, shuffleboard, and air hockey were just perfect - after warming up from the colder hike. We are already planning our next trip and hope to stay here again!

I LOVE that the apartment is located in an old school! I rented it because of its proximity to Turkey Run and Shades state park. The apartment was neat and clean, but my favorite part was access to the gym and games! My kids and I had so much fun playing basketball, ping pong and pool. We will definitely be planning on going back for another stay.

Last min get away

This place was perfect. Not fancy but more than adequate with lots of towels, dishes, kitchen supplies and perfectly clean. Would definitely return and tell others about this place if they were visiting Turkey Run.

We had a wonderful stay for our weekend getaway! What a unique property. We loved exploring the school, and the fact that it was pet friendly was an added bonus. Our pup loved the gymnasium. We took advantage of the shuffleboard table and played some pool as well.The location was perfect for our plans to visit the state parks. We are already planning our next trip.

We enjoyed playing the games in the evening. The kitchen could use some updated utensils and cookware. It would also be kind of nice if you had some basic spices on hand at least maybe salt and pepper. The table was only able to sit two people it might be nice to have a table that could seat four people. we did enjoy our stay and I did recommend this place to my son.

The property was wonderfully maintained, cozy and quaint, and a perfect place to hang out heads after busy days hiking - the treat bag was quite a surprise!

We loved everything about our stay and the peoperty! The apartment was spacious, super clean, and very comfortable. The rear of the school was great for walking our dog (she also loved the apartment and amenities). The open game area was a blast! We were able to listen to music through the surround sound, play pool and foosball, and have the whole place to ourselves. If you're going to spend time at Turkey Run or Shades state parks, you have to stay at the School House!

We were very impressed with the way the place was set up and how clean it was. We had a great stay despite the open house that was being held there one of the nights. We were notified ahead of time and it wasn’t a hindrance at all. We also had a nice safe place to keep our boat too. Thank you Charles, we’ll be back!

This facility is awesome. Easily the coolest VRBO I have ever used. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in or around the Parker county area.

Loved the whole property.. Everything was unique, beautiful and comfortable! There was 4 of us and the apartment was the perfect size for us.. felt like home! An awesome well designed home! Could have spent days enjoying the history of the school and admiring the business venue. The gym and games in the hall were so much fun!! After a day at Turkey Run we would come back have amazing laughing fun!!! Loved it!! One bedroom used to be the principles office and our grankids were in that one.. lots of jokes about that. Staying at this quaint apartment made our vacation perfect and we cant wait to come back! Thanks Charles for always being available and the wonderful welcome gift!
