Welcome to our beautiful property located on Greenwood Lake, NY/NJ! With endless water activities you can spend your summer days soaking up the sun. In the fall and winter, you can enjoy nearby hiking trails and ski resorts.

The backyard features a private dock, a huge outdoor deck, BBQ, and hot tub! Inside, the home offers 5 comfortable bedrooms, providing plenty of space to enjoy a restful stay.

Stretching across 7.3 miles, Greenwood Lake spans the boundary of New York and New Jersey. Situated a mere 50 miles from New York City, this lakefront town is positioned conveniently close to the Appalachian Trail and the scenic Sterling Forest State Park.

We had a great time at this property! Whenever we needed help, the host was quick to respond. We loved the hot tub for the winter and the great couch which fit us all. Looking forward to coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the lake!

The Lakehouse was a great location to celebrate a family birthday. There was ample space for our family - four couples and a baby - to settle in and relax and great space to spend time all together. Having the waterfront and direct access to the lake was great and allowed us to explore the lake. Communication with the hosts throughout the process was outstanding and we took advantage of some of their area recommendations. Overall the house was clean although there were some areas where that could be improved. We passed that input on to the hosts and they acknowledged and indicated they were going to take action on that. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to staying again.

Fabulous get together of my 3 best friends to celebrate much in life. Views were spectacular, being by the water was so restorative, peaceful and quiet this time of year. Beautiful house, such a comfy living room set up. Nice bedrooms and baths, well equipped. Couldn’t be happier!

My extended family enjoyed our stay immensely. The beautiful view of the lake was a perfect way to start each day. We loved the multi-floor plan as it worked well for our family including a 10 month old. Tara and Dan are excellent communicators throughout the rental process. The property provides everything for a great stay.

Great location! Plenty of parking, great views to the lake and dock access. AC worked great. Only issue is with cleanliness. There were squished bugs all over the ceiling in main family room. Also downstairs ceiling tile outside of door had water damage/mold

Wonderful Lake Front Property

We had a great stay at this property! The house is well maintained, has a great kitchen and multiple areas to relax and spread out, especially if you have a larger family. The communication with the owners was easy and they responded to our questions immediately. Highly recommend :)

Lake House Trip

My family and I were in town for a celebration of life, and this vacation home quickly became home base for the out of towners. The house is set up with a massive living area (kitchen and living room) in the middle level of the home. Everything you need to prepare a great meal is there waiting for you. Right off the living room is a large deck with a grill and outdoor seating. The bedrooms are tucked away upstairs, and there’s an additional king with en-suite downstairs. It was a great home, with a nice view and everything you need for a comfortable vacation stay. Thank you! We’ll be back! RT

Wonderful Stay!

We had a great stay with a large group over Valentine’s Day weekend. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view of the lake was beautiful. The only thing was the kitchen is lacking cookware. We would book again.

Mostly Great

This is a great house with an amazing view of the lake. Overall, the house is nicely appointed and was mostly clean. The mattresses were extremely comfortable - we all slept really well, which is not the norm for vacation properties. The kitchen had mostly everything you needed to set up and cook. The house is great for multi-generational families or groups of people. The basement is cozy and completely seperate from the rest of the house which worked great for the kids and I. We could hang out there and be loud and messy without bothering anyone else. The reason for the 4/5 stars is really based on the cost of the property for what you get. Here are the items that could use updating/fixing to recieve a 5 star rating:1. The hot tub was not clean. We were very much looking forward to the hot tub. The water are murky and yellowish and there was biofilm near the waterline. This was a big reason we chose this house, so this was a big disappointment.There were no working lights near the entry door. The was an issue because we arrived after dark and the parking area was quite icy. The dishwasher is old and rustingMost of the spaces were very clean, however, one of the master bedrooms had trash left in the bathroom. All the trash bins outside were overflowing when we arrived, so there was not a good place to place trash.Overall, despite some of the condition of the house, we had a very nice and relaxing stay. I would say this is a solid find.

Perfect Location/Perfect House

The house and location couldn't be more perfect. The time of year it was very quiet and peaceful - not sure what summer is like - but it was a perfect fall getaway - wish we were a few weeks earlier to enjoy the fall foliage. Location - 12 out of 10.....Lake Front; AMAZING views including western facing (can you say sunsets from the hot tub). There is a small town 10 minutes away to get anything you need but you feel like you are in a remote area. The lake is lined with houses but the house still felt very private. Everywhere you drive you are surrounded by nature. Tons of hiking and walking trails House - The house was wonderful. Very clean and very spacious. I hate renting from places that have lots of bedrooms but not enough seats in the living area for the number of people the house holds. The living area had the biggest most comfortable sofa in it (we even inquired to where they got it we loved it so much), The living area downstairs provides additional area if you are a family with kids and want space. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the carpet was clean and felt new. The owners were vey accessible and answered a few questions along the way. This might all sounds too good to be true and you might not believe me - so I'll add if there was one thing I would ask it might be for a few more pots/pans (a larger spaghetti type pot and maybe larger frying pan) - but honestly everything was great and perfect for us. We are excited to go back during the on season to experience the lake and all the activities. You won't regret renting this place!!

Can’t get any better

Always looking for the best spots when we travel. Son is at West Point and we needed a place for family weekend as we came from California. Like staying home - peaceful and awesome lake front. Location allowed us to see the inlaws that live in NJ as well. Well worth the price of admission.

Perfect for our Family

10 cousins were in town for a memorial service… the house was perfect to have us all under one roof vs separate hotel rooms. Will definitely stay again we’re back in the area.

Great large house with a view

This is our second year here and again it was great! Has so many bedrooms and everything we could need. My kids love the super comfy couch. Beautiful view of the lake.

Greenwood Lake Stay

House was great. Very clean, lots of towels and other supplies that you would expect. Located in a small bay on the lake which makes it nicely protected for swimming a bit further out from the dock. We had our ski boat with us for some slalom skiing every morning and night and the dock has mooring whips - which are great. Excellent views from the deck and a grill. Bedrooms have great views and a hot tub and very nice bath in master bedroom. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing and comfortable

Whole family enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious. We found the beds and couches very comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The property was amazing, it had areas for everyone, sunny, shaded, decks, grass,.......... The dock was probably the best part either relaxing on it or launching a kayak.

Spacious House

This house just keeps on going, and the view was really good. We have stayed on Greenwood five times in the past four years and this was the nicest house yet.
