Situada en una isla en el hermoso "Upper Greenwood Lake", esta casa ofrece un refugio privado para disfrutar junto a la familia y los amigos de sus exuberantes vistas y comodidades, así como de la naturaleza y la tranquilidad del sitio, tanto en el verano como en el invierno. Está ubicada a solo 1 hora de la ciudad de Nueva York.

We had such a fantastic few days back in the community of our childhood summers. The house is set high above the lake with clear Mountain views. We cooked in the kitchen and at the end of the day retreated to the second floor living room. Each floor has beautiful electric fireplaces, adding to the overall cozy vibe of the stay There’s a lot of stairs and levels so keep that in mind. We got our steps in both inside and out! Beautiful place to walk the friendly neighborhood streets and breathe in fresh air.

Weekend away

It was a perfect house and town for me and my 8 friends to stay. We all had room, were able to work remotely on Friday and we had perfect weather. My only note is that we had planned on using the grill one of the nights but only realized when we got there that it was not set up. We also had wanted to us the canoe but could not seem to find the oars. All in all it was an incredible weekend at a beautiful home and we will DEFINITLEY be back!

amazing house and host

The house was so beautiful and extremely clean, and well cared for. The property is very nice ,we enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub too. We have stayed at a few houses in the past but this was by far the very BEST. Jose our host was quick to answer all our questions and help us out .The Kitchen is super nice for families, everything you need is there. All the appliances are new and super well cared for. The towels were so nice and there were more then enough for everyone. The beds were comfy and so clean . The local grocery store was awesome . This was just a wonderful experience. We had a great time for our family vacation and visited the Warwick Headquarters ,only 20 minutes away. We highly recommend the house. The only draw back was the water parks and other marina boat rentals were high for out of state residents. The Wawayanda Park beach was 20 per person to swim. do not hesitate to rent this property it is wonderful.

Family House on the Lake

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. The house was immaculate and well equipped for anything you could possibly need with varied spaces that invited spending time together or finding quiet, alone time. While the weather didn't cooperate so that we could enjoy the outdoor spaces at the firepit ot the outdoor kitchen, the hot tub was a nice respite after the Spartan Race. Our host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. His expectations were minimal and easy to meet. The views of the lake...the ducks, geese, and playful otters... and surrounding mountains provided a relaxing atmosphere...one that we hope to experience again.

Lake House, Hewitt, NJ

Beautiful home located right on Greenwood Lake. Home was absolutely perfect for our little family gathering. Warm, inviting, comfortable. It was even decorated with holiday trimmings. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, appliances, etc. Plenty of extra linens, if needed. Host was easy to reach with questions and was very accommodating to my additional requests. Highly recommend!!!

Nice setting but house is not clean

The lake is beautiful but the house was not very clean. And a little run down. The house has what you need but a little soap and water would go a long way!!

Hidden camera in Amazon box from interior window facing hot tub -weird. Other then that good.

There was an Amazon box with cancelled camera in interior room facing hot tub. This was concerning. The home was well appointed and had all amenities included for stay. Master bedroom had used wash clothes and soaps and sink need to be cleaned…just an oversight from prior guest. It was over all very clean. Nice neighborhood and if can address hidden cameras in hot tub area consider staying.

Ladies Lake Escape

A group of ladies all in desperate need of an escape found Jose's home to be easy to get to, clean, well stocked and just what we needed to gather and relax from nibbling around the kitchen island, crashing on the couch in front of the fire or soaking in the hot tub or master bath jetted tub. Beds really comfy. Sheets, blankets, towels clean and well stocked for larger groups. Jose remained a message away for any questions or needs and provided easy check in info including double checking we were aware of slightly tricky but manageable parking. I've stayed at many VRBO listings, Jose's and his home are 5 stars. Did not want to leave!

Girls Getaway

Great place for a weekend away! Plenty of space and tools in the kitchen for cooking and storage. Bedrooms all good sizes. Beautiful views. Our host Jose was super helpful and a pleasure to rent from. Stores are near enough if you need to run out and grab anything

Beautiful lakefront property

We stayed at this VRBO due to the fact of the large amount of people that could stay at the property we were in town for work. There were nine of us. The property was able to accommodate all of us comfortably. The views are amazing the lakefront. The property is nice and clean and the amenities were a plus I would recommend this place to everyone.

Thanksgiving on at the LakeHouse

The house was perfect for what we needed. All the kitchen utensils and equipment needed to prepare thanksgiving dinner were available. The views of the lake from the multilevel home were amazing. The house is equipped with indoor and outdoor fireplaces which we used outside near the lake. Even though it was chilly we took advantage of the hot tub and fireplaces. The main kitchen level does have a lower ceiling in the laundry and half bath which wasn’t an issue but thought it was important to mention for guests taller than 6’5+.

Beautiful location just be aware no lake access

We enjoyed this tri-level home with views for days! stocked kitchen, plenty of paper goods, towels (even for hot tub), TV in both living areas, A/C control on each floor- they work quickly, clean hot tub, lots of outdoor seating, and great area for morning and evening walks. Did I mention the views, from the hot tub, living room, master bed and bathroom! We did not spend the majority of our 4 day weekend at the house (visiting family and a special event). Some of the important things to know when renting here: there is NO lake access for swimming/boating here. You have to drive to neighboring lakes for those activities. Also if you or someone in your party is over 5’ 10” be aware the ceilings are low!! My brother in law hit his head multiple times, 2 of my nephews also hit their heads. Mostly coming down the stairs or using the bathroom on the first floor.

Lovely home with no lake access

House was well equipped, and had a lovely view and is near many beautiful lakes and trails. My fault for not understanding that you could not access the lake the house was on before booking - there were even lake monitors. It was also a little confusing when trying to leave and pack up that the owner showed up.

Peace on the lake

The entire process couldn’t have been easier. Jose is such a thoughtful host as the house is so well appointed. We forgot to bring coffee, but no worries. He had coffee there. The kitchen is fully stocked and the best part for me was not having to pack our own linens. Such a pleasure to not pack bulky towels, blankets and sheets. The house is also well located with boat rentals, wineries, etc nearby. We can’t wait to return.

Golf weekend

Lake "Oasis"

For our weekend lake getaway we wanted lakefront comfort and found it in this large, well-equipped multi-level house. Our experience was positive from booking to departure. Jose is an experienced host and all you need to bring is food & bev for a delightful respite. We wanted to bring the family together and there was plenty of room to relax, read, enjoy an evening fire, and share meals in a large comfortable, well-lit dining area with a gorgeous view of the lake and hills beyond. There are plenty of bedrooms and the master is large with a modern, renovated en suite. We enjoyed a weekend afternoon walking through and dining in Warwick, a short drive away. Also a short trip to a choice of markets. When we had a small issue Jose was very responsive. Thanks for a great weekend, we will see you again!

Pleasant stay at Lake House

Flew from California to our son’s wedding and rented this property for three nights. The house is perfect for a family of 8-10 if you don’t mind sharing bunk beds. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and share a nice meal with the whole family. The property has nice amenities, however we were so busy with wedding that could not enjoy them,

Great water views but we wont go back

The location and the water views are great, and the firepit is the best feature. However, the house was not clean, the bathrooms had hair and dust and the floors were very sticky. One day, the temperature reached 91 so the third floor got really hot. We contacted Jose regarding the AC, he replied an hour later recommending us to open the windows since the AC wasn't ready as it wasn't summer yet. So make sure you inquiry about the AC before you go. We couldn't sleep on those rooms that night (the thermostat showed 94). The hot tub is a nice feature but in our case, the water never got hot (it was more like lukewarm temperature). We talked to Jose about it, and he said he had set it up to a certain temperature that in his opinion was hot enough. I think the guests should be able to set the tub to the temperature they want. I have rented other VRBO properties and i had never had the owner or host of the house knock on the door at 11:00 am to check things out. So make sure you are ready to leave on time! But I guess that's a way to confirm the guests check out on time. I took the opportunity to talk to Jose, and he was polite and attentive to all of our complaints. He even offer a discount for future bookings for all the issues we encountered but we I don't think we will be taking his offer.

This area holds beautiful mountains, lakes, water reservoirs, parks, hiking trails with amazing views and it is home to vast and diverse wildlife. I decided to join VRBO/HomeAway to share with guests my experience of exploring this spectacular region full of nature.
