Completely renovated Mar Vista home with pool. Gorgeous mid-century modern design by Ginny MacDonald: custom wood paneling, handmade tile, every detail equally chosen for aesthetics and function. High ceilings, tons of natural lighting.

Interior design by the world-renowned Ginny MacDonald with Japanese, Scandinavian, and European inspiration building on the original mid-century architecture. This home was selected in "Homes & Gardens" in a "Words Best Homes" feature.
Guests have full and private use of the entire house and property. There are 3+ spots in the driveway/carport as well as free street parking. Great central location on the West side: 5 min walk to Whole Foods, 8 min drive to downtown Culver city, 10 min drive to Abbot Kinney Blvd, 12 min drive to Santa Monica pier.
**No smoking of ANY kind anywhere on the property (including outside/backyard). Smoking in the backyard wafts into our neighbors’ yards and smoking on the property will subject your reservation to immediate cancellation without any refund. Do not book if you plan to smoke.**

⦾ Pool heating optional $85/night up to 85 degrees, in colder months (November through March pool heating $150/night up to 85 degrees). Final temperature also depends on outside temperature at the time. Please notify us in advance if you want to add pool heating.
⦾ Hot tub heating included but must be turned off when not in use, fees will apply if left on for excessive amounts of time such as overnight or during the whole stay, etc.
⦾ Late September, all of October, to Early November there is a tree in the backyard which blooms heavily and fills the pool with flowers and we wouldn't consider it swimmable, probably could take some great Insta pictures :), but not great for regular pool use. In order to prevent damage to the pool systems, we will have our pool tech come scoop it out most every day during this period. When the owner lives here he actually finds it an enjoyable zen activity to scoop it, if you prefer not to have the pool tech come and scoop it yourself then just let us know!
No additional guests on the property at any time that are not on the reservation without prior authorization.
The gardener & pool tech come for weekly service on Tuesday. During late Sept to early November the pool tech or our handyman will come daily to scoop the flowers out of the pool.
Please note there is no luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. If you'd like early check-in, make sure to request it in advance. In most cases we cannot offer it, but we will be happy to let you know in case it is possible (though we may not be able to let you know either way until the morning of check-in in many cases). It is EXTREMELY rare that we can offer late checkout, but if you request it in advance as well we will let you know if it's possible. Requests the morning of for late checkout are not possible due to the need to schedule our cleaners in advance.
Guests are solely responsible to check themselves for personal items and remove them before check-out. If any items left behind are found, we take NO responsibility for their safekeeping in any way. As a courtesy, found items may be arranged to be picked up in Santa Monica at a time that is possible based on our availability; we do not mail forgotten items nor take any responsibility for their storage, transport, nor condition at any time, even if we agree to arrange for pickup.

◦ Quiet hours 10pm-8am (no loud music or activities to disturb neighbors)
◦ No smoking of ANY kind anywhere on the property (including outside/backyard)—your reservation can be cancelled without any refund for violating this rule.
◦ Number of guests on the property at any time must match reservation
◦ No commercial use, filming, photography, or any non-standard use of property without prior, written authorization (extra fees apply starting at 3x the nightly rate)
◦ When available, early check in or late checkout is $75 (must be pre-approved)
◦ Please note: kids are welcome, but property is not kid-proofed or baby-proofed-->pool is not enclosed
◦ Pool waiver must be signed prior to arrival
◦ 6 adults max per reservation, we allow up to 8 for families with children
◦ Lost key fee minimum $100
