We had a comfortable stay overall, but were very disappointed that the private hot tub—featured prominently as a key amenity—was not working during our entire visit. We specifically booked this property (at a higher nightly rate) because it advertised a private hot tub on the deck, shown as the first listing photo and emphasized throughout the description. In fact, we passed up more affordable options with shared hot tub access for this reason. We did not need this much space. Unfortunately, the hot tub never worked, and despite being told the first night that it would be repaired the next day, no one ever came to attempt a fix. While the host did provide a modest credit (90 host hot tub fee and 100 to use split rock on final night which conflicted with our dinner plans) this did not come close to compensating for the loss of an amenity that significantly influenced our booking decision. Based on the condition of the hot tub, it appeared this may not have been a new issue, yet the listing had not been updated to reflect that it was inoperable, nor has it in the week following our stay.On a positive note, the host was communicative, and the accommodations themselves were comfortable and well-appointed. However, we would not have booked this property had we known the hot tub would not be usable. Future guests should not expect the hot tub to be available unless the listing is updated to confirm it is working.
