This is a 1 bedroom apartment, completely renovated keeping the historic features of the house with modern amenities. Decorated with an eclectic mix of antique furniture and light fixtures. The house is located on the parade route of the oldest 4th of July celebration in America, 2 blocks from the downtown area of Bristol and close to many other area attractions like Newport(30 mins south) and Providence(30 mins west) and Boston(60 mins. north). The house is equipped with a fully functioning kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and wet bar area for your cocktails. Relax on the front porch and people watch or take in the morning & afternoon sun on our new side porch. At the end of the day, relax in our soaking tub or walk-in shower with rain head then watch your favorite show on our smart TV.

If you are looking for a genuine example of a historically correct Bristol home this is it. It’s also on the parade route so, if you’re in New England during the 4th Of July, you have to experience the oldest continuously running Independence Day celebration in the United States.The place was clean and equipped with everything one needs for day-to-day life.

We're always a bit skeptical about the true cleanliness of a place, even when reviews say the place is clean, but the reviews for John's place really were spot on! The place is impeccable, quiet, and the location is great. John has thought of every detail, and obviously takes pride in his home. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent location to walk to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. The apartment in this historic house was restored very nicely and furnished so you can feel at home.

This was such a lovely spot. It is centrally located in Bristol and the ideal location to stay if you're visiting the area of Newport, Providence, or Bristol. It will give you access to most activities Rhode Island has to offer within a 30min drive.

Such a beautiful quaint place! Loved all the vintage touches. Host left delicious breads for us and was very responsive to questions I had. The area was amazing surrounded by historic homes. The water was a quick walk down the street. Absolutely loved out time there!

Perfect Early Summer Getaway

Our stay in Bristol was extremely pleasant. We were able to take advantage of all of the surrounding activities, including tours of the mansions and the cliff walk down in Newport. The house was wonderful, and John was extremely helpful in making our stay free and uncomplicated

This is a lovely place to stay. It’s a nice blend of old and new. An easy walk to downtown or anywhere. Bristol is such a walking town and this location is wonderful and quiet.

This adorable apartment was in a perfect location in the center of historic Bristol. I could walk to all my favorite local restaurants, stores and ocean spots. It was very clean with thoughtful care taken by the landlord to provide just the right amenities and personal touches. I would definitely recommend it and will stay there when I visit again if available.

Lovely Little House for Two

We were here for our grandson’s graduation from high school and we were looking for a place downtown. This house was perfect for us. John was a great host , everything you could possibly need was provided! We were even treated to a delicious blueberry loaf! Clean and recently updated with new kitchen and bathroom. Would certainly like to stay there again.

Sweet apartment in the most darling town

We had the most wonderful time Bristol. The location was ideal. We could walk everywhere. The apartment was perfectly suited for 2 of us. Every detail was taken care of and John was wonderful with communication. The marvelous homemade chocolate bread was such a great gift to start our girls trip. Would highly recommend.

Nice Surprise

An old New England home with a surprise! I was concerned at first! Upon entering the unit, I was amazed to see the modern kitchen against the highly polished, old wood floors! I was greeted by a beautiful ceramic dish containing fresh blueberry cake, with a ribbon tied on it, and a welcome note! The sitting room and bedroom are furnished with antiques, old rugs, preserved original lighting, and comfortable bed and bedding. The bathroom is completely new, with rain style and hand held shower heads, and a large soaking tub. Outside on the porch are two chairs for enjoying the bird choruses in the mornings, and a green open space for games and visiting. The location was perfect for me-6 tenths of a mile to one sister, and 7 tenths to the other! I would recommend this unit!

This was our first VRBO we have booked and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend staying here. John was easy to work with, making sure we had everything we needed start to finish. Very close to other parts of RI, such as Newport. Downtown Bristol has many cute boutiques, such as Wink, owned by a local. Great coffee shops, empire and the beehive, top notch. Several walking paths and bike paths within walking distance of this apartment. Everything that you would want when staying out of town. We can’t wait to come back.

We purchased this property in November 2016, it was a derelict property, only one apartment had a heating system. Over a span of 5 years every apartment was completely remodeled. This apartment, the last, we use for ourselves and short term rentals. Dont let the exterior fool you.....its next on our list.

If you like historic homes you will like this apartment. We added all modern amenities while maintaining a lot of the original features like the moldings and southern yellow pine floors.
