Stunning modern house in a beautiful setting, our friend group loved staying and enjoying the views, hot tub, and very comfortable amenities! We would highly recommend it and would stay again!

We had such a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and the views were amazing. The kitchen was so well stocked - I wish we could have had more meals there, but we were visiting family in Nelson and most of our meals were with them. Marjie was a delight and you can tell that she loves this home. Thank you again, Marjie - we can't wait to come back and next time we'll stay longer.

This property was magic from the second we arrived. I couldn’t have dreamt it any better. Everything was perfect and didn’t leave us wanting for anything. Spectacular views, peace and quiet, and all the amenities to relax. We absolutely loved it.

Brilliantly designed space. Immaculately clean. Marjie left us handwritten notes and fresh flowers throughout the home. Just stunning! Our favorite amenities included the hot tub and the luxurious bathrooms. From the richly colored works of art on the walls, to the timeless furniture, it all felt premium. Our communication with Marjie was a great pleasure as well! My family loved the proximity to the cute town of Nelson, Lake Kootenay, the Ainsworth hot springs, and beautiful wilderness parks.

This is truly the best property we have ever stayed at. The host made sure every detail was taken care of. The kitchen was extremely well appointed and we took advantage of cooking most of our meals there. What a treat to have sharp knives and all of the oils/spices you would ever need. The home, including the hot tub, were impeccably clean, offering peace and privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable. I took advantage of the observation deck a number of times for some early morning yoga. Truly an unforgettable stay. Thank you so much - we will be back!!!

Perfect

One of the best we have ever stayed in. The house was spotlessly clean with beautiful views over the valley below. We had a great week hiking, kayaking and trying out the local food. Marjie went above and beyond with fresh flowers and snacks ready for our arrival. Loved watching the birds, ground squirrels and the elk from the balcony. Would love to return one day.

Perfect Accommodation

We loved the setting, the home layout, and all the "extras and details" that made our vacation wonderful. I hope others get to enjoy the sunset from the deck as we did, it was gorgeous.

All around excellent

Very well appointed property! It was a great place to rest and prepare homemade meals after skiing at Whitewater. Despite thinking we may not be as close to Nelson as we'd like, the location's very short drive into town offered amazing peace and quiet (and stars) we didn't know we'd prefer in the end. Marjie was very helpful and responsive!

Marjie offers a modern and thoughtful home that is functional and beautiful. The views are borderline ridiculous! The area is magical, everything you need at at this lovely home, and do take Marjie up on her suggestions - she definitely steered us in the right direction.

Great little getaway just outside Nelson

We came as a group of 5 for a ski trip and had a great time in this beautiful home. It had everything we needed for our trip. The owner was very responsive and helped us a lot. She even made us a welcome basket of local goodies. The place is impeccable with high end furnishings and utensils. She even had beautiful fresh flowers! We enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend and stay there again! Thanks for a wonderful time!

The perfect place to take a breath!

In all my years booking through VRBO, I've never had such a positive, welcoming, and relaxing stay as we did here. Marjie is a wonderful hostess with wonderful surprises for her guests here and there. We felt so welcome. Check-in was stress-free. The home has incredible views - and cozy places inside and outside to enjoy those views. The home provided everything we needed for the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. The beds were so comfortable. The artwork was beautiful and a big part of the joy of experiencing this home. The yoga deck was a quiet spot to take in the view and just stop the world to take a breath. I enjoyed the elk, birds, and the sound of the river below while sitting there. Check-out was the easiest we have experienced. We were used to being handed pages of "to-dos" when leaving a VRBO home. Not here! And what a gift that is. The house rules are common sense and written in a positive way. We love this area and now that we've discovered this home, I can't wait to be back! Thank you, Marjie, for making this one of our favourite holidays.

A great reset

WOW, the setting of that house is very beautiful, and well done with the decorating. Jenn and I were both up and gone by 8am. We did venture into town one day, walked the beach that was down the rd, and the waterfront downtown. But our hearts were content on staying at the property for the rest of our stay. We were greeted by a resident elk just off the drive way the first night in and every morning as we drank coffee on the deck, a humming bird would swoop in to your potted flowers on the deck. Very cool to watch. Our stay was EXACTLY what we were both needing and wanting. Especially living the traveling rat race both Jenn and I do. So thank for offering your property. Side note, I will be mentioning your place to a lot of friends, colleagues, as well as the company care program for performance giveaways. Your place impressed. If there are other social media or review sites let me know and I will defiantly leave a positive note! PS.. I did take pictures of the art work on the walls and may reach out again here inquiring about them. Unless you can lead me to a way for view these artists work pieces. Marjie, thank you for reviviscence!!!"

Let see...After 25 years of working in Social Work and feeling like a change, I have started a new business called Embrace Your Space Nelson, an organizing, de-cluttering and property management business, this coupled with my vacation rentals allows me to meet people from all over the world and I love it! I love my family, I love to travel, absolutely love, love, love flowers, good music, food and wine. I also appreciate the beauty of nature and know that this is what called me to live in the Kootenays. Majestic mountains, beautiful lakes, hiking trails and some very fine people.
I will always work hard to be a great host as I enjoy seeing people happy and comfortable. I always give people their space, but also make myself available should I be needed. I keep my home exceptionally clean and that's how I leave other people's space. I look forward to continue my journey hosting and travelling, overall enjoying life!
