This beautiful gulf front 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo with bunk alcove is located in the heart of Orange Beach. The primary bedroom features a stunning gulf view, balcony access, king size bed and double granite vanity in the private bathroom. The bunk alcove has 2 full size twin beds. The private balcony is the perfect place to relax while listening to the waves crash down. There is a fully stocked, updated kitchen that has beautiful granite countertops with an island large enough to seat guests comfortably. This condo includes everything you need for your home away from home at the beach.

Tidewater complex features large outdoor pool and sundeck, direct gulf access with boardwalk, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and exercise facility. It is close to the wonderful restaurants, activities and nightlife that Orange Beach has to offer.

This was an ok budget unit. The unit was relatively clean. The stunning view of used diapers and household debris on the roof of the indoor pool below us was less than desirable. The indoor pool was mostly clean, until someone barfed in it and it took a long time to get clean. The outdoor pool was nasty looking and we did not let my daughter swim in it. The biggest issue was the smell. The unit had an odor, mildew or moldy. Everyone complained of it. Shortly after arrival I started having nose bleeds. The nose bleeds continued until a week after arriving home. Not sure what the odor was, but it was making me sick.

Looked nice but wasn’t at all!!

My family and I were truly excited about this trip as we go to the beach every year. It looked nice and clean upon arrival but was very disappointed. The air conditioner was set at 76 once we arrived and was turned down to 68 to cool off. By the next morning it only cooled off to 71. Talked to the rental place and she did send a tech to look at it. However he informed us nothing was wrong with it and they do not like it to be turned down below 70. I think they have it set to not go below 70. He set it at 68 for us but it would never get cooler so if u like to sleep cool at night this condo is not for you. Also, if you have teen daughters or several women in your party this condo is not for you either. Only one mirror in the entire unit and it’s in the bathroom. There was also mold in the tile in the shower and bottom of shower curtain was very dirty. The couch smelt like urine when pulled out for the sleeper sofa so not sure if a child had done that previously. Will not stay here again or even in this condo due to not sure if all units are like this.

Would not stay in this condo again but would stay at Tidewater again.

Overall, my husband and I enjoyed the location of this property. Had a great view and amenities of the building were satisfactory. Although, the condo itself was not as clean as I hoped. I was hit with a very musty smell each time I came in and after being there, I found multiple reasons as to why. There was black mold on the shower curtain, shower tiles, shower head, and ceiling above the shower along with black mold found on the kitchen cabinets. The baseboards around the condo were painted white (at one time) but looked very dirty. The living room rug looked very dirty. The tracks in the sliding glass door had a ton of dirt caught in it. The vents looked visibly dirty/ dusty. Just lacked a much needed deep cleaning. There was only one trash bag provided and no dish soap and one roll of toilet paper.. so plan on bringing those items or buying some when you’re here.

Not what we expected

Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain properly and shower curtain was torn. The overall cleanliness especially floors and baseboards was bad. We covered the sofa with a blanket because it was dirty. We had cockroaches. Kitchen drain stoppers and can opener wouldn’t work. It’s in a perfect place but would not stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay

We say the condo was very comfortable with everything we needed. The beach access is wonderful. Just a couple complaints regarding cleanliness. I would say it is time to change out the comforter in the main bedroom as stains on it is sort of off putting. Might need pest control in bathroom and the toilet runs continuously

Need to get it together.

We added on two extra nights to our stay the 2nd and the 3rd. I confirmed with her on march 21 that we were good to check in on the 2nd.she said “yes & the extra payment for those two nights would be taken out with the original payment.” Then I confirmed AGAIN on the way there on the second and she said “yes will send the code when the cleaners are done.” When we arrived on the 2nd she was supposed to send us the code when the cleaners were done but no later than 4:00pm. I messaged her at 4:10 because she did not send the code, she did not have us down for the 2nd & the 3rd nor did she take the money out the first time like she said she would. she takes the money out for those two extra night, So after arguing with her that we did in fact add the two extra nights and confirmed with her MORE THAN ONCE. She finally sent the code but it was wrong. So then we had to get ahold of her AGAIN to get the right code. All while I also have my newborn and 4 year old with me. We finally get in the room she bring us our parking pass and a $100 giftcard to our room for a restaurant (which is the least she could have done after all that running around) half the outlets didn’t even work. The day before we leave me and my kids were coming up to the room from the beach and our code had stop working so I had to once again stand outside with my kids (newborn & 4 year old) to try to get ahold of her to see why my code has stopped working and if she could fix it.HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not use them

Lovely Stay and Location!

We had a wonderful stay at Tidewater and would recommend the property to friends. The kids loved the bunk beds and our view was gorgeous. Being directly on the beach was perfect. The only thing that might need to be addressed, for those with little kids, is that the sliding door to the balcony does not have a functioning lock. Our kids are old enough to be trusted, but others may have an issue with that! The unit was well stocked. I do recommend bringing/buying extra trash bags, though! The beds were comfortable and everything was tidy and ready for us. We had an amazing stay and enjoyed every moment. Thank you so much!

Nice but needs a deep cleaning

We enjoyed our stay and the property had what we needed for making breakfast and lunch. The overall property was clean, but it is definitely time for a deep cleaning. Baseboards, door frames, doors and high touch drawers had discoloration and need to be cleaned. The bedroom desperately needs a blackout curtain. There is a light right outside the window. It was like trying to sleep during the day. It would also be nice if there was a mirror other then in the one bathroom. It would have made getting ready much easier. There wasn't a blanket or comforter for the pullout couch. The location was great. There is an ice cream shop and two restaurants within walking distance.

Needs some cleaning/updating

The unit itself was fine! However, the bathroom needs some attention. (Mold in the shower and also on the ceiling in the bathroom). There was food under the couch and sand on the floor. Dirty baseboards. Just needs in-depth cleaning and or painting . Also, more towel racks in the bathroom would be great- there was only 1. Ok for the 2 of us, but what about a family with a bunch of wet bathing suits and towels. Better skillet needed in the kitchen. Overall we had a great time, but without updates, I wouldn’t rent again.
