I grew up in Harlan county, and am an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. My wife, Kara, and I have 3 boys. While we don’t live in Alma, we are always available by phone and have friends in Alma should you need anything during your stay.

We remodeled this house, which has an interesting history. It was moved to its current location from the area that is now the Harlan county reservoir. It is just two blocks from the lake, bike trails, and conveniently located on Main Street, where are you will find a grocery store, movie theater, restaurants, a coffee shop, boutiques, and the park and swimming pool. There is ample parking in the oversized driveway. There is a 20 amp plug in for a camper or trailer that you can park in the driveway. The house is located on a double lot, so there is plenty of room for outdoor games. Inside, there are two bedrooms and extra sleeping space on a convertible sofa in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need, including coffee, hot chocolate, and spices. There is a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. Come and relax at the soggy dollar cabin, and enjoy the quaint town of Alma, and the outdoor adventures in Harlan County!

I am happy to provide any tips for hunting and fishing. There are places in town that you can rent kayaks and boats. while there is only one full bathroom, there is an extra shower in the basement that you are welcome to use. There are yard games stored in the outdoor shed, and there are crayons and coloring books, some board games and other toys in the TV console. Extra sheets and towels are above the dryer, and feel free to use the beach towels as well. our kids absolutely love the swimming pool and Alma. There are some good restaurants as well!
