Cottage house with Limestone exterior on a 6 acre Pecan Orchard located within a 1/4 mile off 199 & US 51 in the heart of Springtown Texas. The cozy home offers 2 separate bedrooms, a den with futon and 1 full bathroom along with a full kitchen with dining table, living room with sofa and large ottoman as well as a large flat screen tv with Comcast cable service and wireless 5 G internet, There is also a second cozy den with a futon that’s great for reading and relaxing. The backyard is fenced and beyond the backyard is a 6 acre pecan orchard with 50 mature pecan trees. The rear of the property backs into a creek as well. Springtown Square & Park are a few blocks away. Brookshire grocer and other retailers are all within a mile. Hal’s Diner is across the street.

I have pics of this place now. Nothing like its listing. Yard in back has tall grass and stickers. The yard is not kept at all. Poison ivy on the fence and in the flowerbeds. Briars growing on the entry way. Garage area is full of boxes of papers and the the two beds back there are thrown on top of a mess. The trash can I’m the kitchen hasn’t been cleaned in quite a while. The house is side by side to a smoke shop with a big neon light. Traffic is horrible. The front yard is full of sticks and ant beds. Wasp nests have been there for quite some time. Windows were dirty. The hall light doesn’t work. Not staying again. There is a cedar tree in the drive that needs trimmed which gets sap all over your auto. The pecan orchard that you are not allowed in is all grown up.

Has potential

The location is prime as my grandkids live close by and the house/yard has potential under the right cleaning crew & yard maintenance. The yard needs some serious work, trim the hedges and put flowers in those window boxes and it would have definite curb appeal. The yard has so many stickers it is not people or pet friendly. There are only 2 bdrms not 3. Dishes were put away dirty, cup dirty, spoon sticky. Grease on the stove, looks like it dripped from the dirty vent-a-hood area. Sheets didn't appear to have been changed, I washed the sheets myself. Shower curtain slimy and moldy on right bottom corner. The overall cleanliness of the house itself was ok, the floors were clean, the bathroom was clean except the shower curtain. Was it worth 610.00 for 2 nights? No, it wasn't, but the house could be nice under the right care and location is prime for the area.

Exhausted family

Enjoyed the house. Bathtub has a draining issue. Saw bugs in kitchen near sink. Master bedroom mattress is worn out. Not enough supplies for a five person family. Toilet paper, paper towels and air freshener. Also had to wait a really long time for entrance code. Place was listed and said fire pit and grill, never saw a fire pit. Other than that, it was great.

In town for a memorial

This place had everything we needed. It was very close to the church where we were in town for a memorial. The kitchen is well appointed. I can't think of a thing we needed that wasn't already there. There is plenty of room to spread out! My sister & I both slept quite well in our beds. The TV was a big plus, as our team was in the NFL playoffs. The property mgr, Teri promptly responded with our question, as did the owner. If I ever go to Springtown again, I hope the little rock house is available. A side note, you should be able to see deer out the kitchen window munching on pecans in the beautiful orchard!

Horror story

Super filthy. House has potential. Needs updating. Bathroom remodel, get the old filthy rugs out. And get a good cleaner. We had to clean it ourselves. Very disappointed.

Cozy house

We had a nice stay at the Rock House. It's a cozy house with good airconditioning (which was much needed in the July heat) and great beds. Nice place to come and rest. Host is great and very responsive.

More than adequate

We were in town for a wedding. The nearby BBQ restaurant, coffee shops, ice cream shop and diner across the street were great. The air conditioning functioned perfectly for the high 90’s outside. Only wish the pecan orchard had been mowed for our outdoor enthusiasts to explore. And more lighting in one of the bedrooms was needed.

Charming little house with plenty of space to sleep up to 8. Easy to get to lakes, Weatherford, and Fort Worth. Had everything we needed! Great communication too. Thank you!

Great location in Springtown!

Older property, but clean and owner was very quick to respond to my messages and flexible when I thought I was going to have to check out an hour late. Would stay again for sure.

We had a great time in the little house

The house was very clean, it has everything you need in the kitchen. It has a small fenced yard, perfect for a small dog. We had a great time and we even asked to stay another day and there was no problem at all with getting in touch with the owner. We will be staying there again if we get the chance.

Great Value

The house was clean although bare bones but totally comfortable. I didn't realize it was on a main road but the bedroom I slept in was in the back of the house so I didn't hear much. Host was great!

Clean and comfy

Very reasonable price, clean home, and the location worked for our needs. My only complaint is the lack of amenities that normally come with home rentals. For example, we had to buy soap, shampoo, and conditioner to shower with. We were attending a wedding and planned to iron our clothes after taking them out of our luggage, but the iron doesn’t work. It simply leaks water. Overall, it’s a good choice if you don’t want to spend too much money. Just bring your own basic necessities and you should be fine.

Springtown, TX

The location was perfect for our trip. It was 1.5 miles from our family. It beat having to stay at a hotel and driving 15-20 miles each way to visit family. The house was comfortable and quaint. It was clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was great and the host was very hospitable. We had a very pleasant stay.

Nice house

The house was nice. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials. Everything was clean. Accommodations were just as described. We did have a problem upon arrival. The host had never sent a code to get into the house. I tried to message and call him repeatedly with no response. He did, eventually, call. He was apologetic and had just forgotten to send it. At the time, it was extremely inconvenient and we were scrambling to make other arrangements. Thankfully, it was resolved and the rest of the stay was great.
