Expectations Exceeded Aug 2020

This camp stay exceeded our expectations in every way. The camp is very well set up so everyone can have privacy if needed. There is plenty of room for meals, games and all around relaxing. The beach access is great for all ages and the dock is great for jumping off or fishing. Jim communicates well and responds quickly to inquiries. From day one we enjoyed our stay and hated to leave on day seven. We hope to visit again, Mike

Great lake vacation!

Location is perfect. Located in a cove of Jordan Bay on Sebago. No wake zone in the cove so perfect for kids on the sandy beach. Has a dock for a boat. Swimming off dock or beach. Grassy area for activities and a fire pit. House is plenty big for family of 8. House is updated and very clean. Loved every bit of our vacation.

A perfect place to relax with friends for a few days

I don't want to share the secret with too many people, but this property is perfect! Whether you come with an extended family or a few adult couples (as we did), the space is very accommodating. We rented a boat for a couple of days, on a busy labor day weekend, and every person on our boat was so relieved to putter into our peaceful cove and exclaim "Yay, we're home!" We had so many laughs and stories while sitting on the dock, deck, beach and by the fire pit. We would definitely go back!

Amazing Lake House Getaway

This wonderful home and location definitely exceeded our expectations. The house has a perfect layout. The main floor has an open kitchen, dining and living room, a full bathroom, and queen bedroom. the kitchen and queen bedroom have sliding doors opening onto two separate decks. the basement floor has a huge queen bedroom with its own sliding door to the lakefront, a double bunk bed room, a sitting room with a large tv and futon that has the sliding door to the lakefront, and a bathroom with stand up shower. There are at least 20 games and several puzzles in the house. More than enough kitchen items including a dishwasher making meal prep so easy. The lakefront area is very large with options for sun and shade. There are two picnic tables, several chairs, a large grill, and fire pit with amazing sunset views. The shoreline is sandy, clean and perfect for kids. The end of the dock is deep enough for diving. The cove is a no wake zone so the water is nice and calm all the time. There are trees on both sides of the property making it feel extremely secluded and private. Jim, the owner was extremely responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. I'm planning to rent again next year!

Great location

The place was clean and well-appointed. The location is perfect. Quiet cove with no wake zone. Great dock for swimming and boat. All around loved it.

Great location and private!!!

This is the second time our family stayed at the property. This time we enjoyed it for 2 weeks which was still not enough. The private sandy beach and large yard gave us plenty of space to enjoy the water/beach in the sun and offers a fair amount of shad on the lawn to escape the sun when needed. This property really offers a very good balance of everything we look for in a summer rental. The owner is great to deal with and cares about the experience of his guest. Our family will be back to enjoy it once again next year.

Beautiful location on the sunny side of the cove!

The pictures of this gem do not do it justice. The house is located in a cove with beautiful views of the lake from the deck and dock. The lake water is clean and free of weeds. Don't forget to bring your outdoor games, the lawn is perfect for cornhole, badminton..... The sun hits the dock into the evening. When you do retreat indoors, the setup allows for separate space for the kids. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms and a futon in an open space with a t.v. The kitchen could not be better equipped. A large cabinet is left vacant to store all of your food. There are plenty of games and puzzles for downtime. Jim could not be more responsive. Any questions received prompt responses and he would text suggestions to maximize your stay. We can't wait to return!

Great rental!

We absolutely loved this rental! We have rented many houses in different areas and this was our favorite. The house was clean, plenty of space and had everything you needed. The pictures don't do the property justice! We had four adults and four kids between ages 9-12. We were very comfortable! The cove was nice and calm so it was perfect for our kids to swim, ride their kayaks and paddleboards. The beachfront was perfect! Nice open area with no weeds or muck for kids to wade and play in the sand. Kids and adults loved fishing off the dock. This also allowed plenty of space so people could swim and fish at the same time. We have had other rentals where you felt on top of each other at the beach area and couldn't safely swim and have others fishing at the same time. Yard was big and had nice flat area where you could set up a badminton net or other activities. Jim was great to work with. Friendly and answered all my questions with very prompt replies. Not sure if this is usually the case, but we had no mosquitos! You could sit out at night and not get attacked! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back!

Great vacation Spot! Gorgeous Waterfront!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is even more beautiful in person. The pictures really don’t do it justice. I grew up in Maine & we have vacationed in the Sebago Lakes Region every summer for the past 20 years. We are used to these beautiful spring-fed lakes. With that said, this was our favorite spot so far. The water is crystal clear& we loved the combination of the sandy beach & deeper water off the dock. Our teenagers spent hours in the water exploring the rocks off to the side & swimming to the giant rock at the mouth of the cove. The house itself is very clean & nice. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious & the beds are comfortable. We were very comfortable with 7 people. The owner was great & made us feel welcome. He checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, but left us to enjoy our week once he knew we were settled. I highly recommend. We’ll be back for sure!

Perfect Lake Location and Property!

We have rented this property a few times as everything about it makes for a perfect vacation! The cove is very quiet, the property is secluded on both sides, and it is one of the few in the cove that has an actual beach with crystal clear water for swimming. We also bring our boat which ties up easily at the dock (which the grandkids enjoy jumping and diving off). We also love the large grass area on the property to set up a badminton/volleyball net and the outdoor fire pit is another great amenity to have for the evenings. Everything you need is inside the spacious home and the attached deck has 2 large patio tables with umbrella and plenty of chairs which is perfect for enjoying meals outside. We rarely venture out during our stay as we never want to leave the lake, but close by is the "The Mosquito Ice Cream Shop", Seacoast Adventure Park, Westbrook Drive in, Frye Island Restaurant by boat, and much more. We look forward to more visits here!

Great location and perfect family vacation home

This is a great location on the lake, perfect for swimming or boating. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. We had an amazing vacation with friends and family, we will be booking it again next year!

We had an amazing week at the Raymond Property. The house was great, and beach was even better! Location is ideal for family in Whittemore Cove with little boat traffic. Great view of Jordan Bay

The best inlet on the lake

We have holidayed on 5 different NE lakes and Sebago is by far the best. Portland is 40 minutes away, with great restaurants and museums. Sebago is a big beautiful lake and Whittemore Cove is the best protected swimming, sailing, and boating cove on the lake. The property has a wonderful lawn leading down to a sand beach and large seating area on the dock. The dock is big enough for a runabout and there is a safe mooring. The kids loved jumping from the large rock at the entrance to the cove. The house is well laid out for parents and kids with separate lounge areas and a great deck off the well appointed kitchen. We can recommend Seacoast Adventure park for a great high wire and zip line afternoon for all ages. We will be back again next year. Thanks Jim.

Wonderful Spot

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is comfortable and fully equipped, the lake is beautiful and the dock area terrific. We rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed the lake and kayaks to enjoy the cove. The sandy beach area made entering the lake easy for kayaks and paddle boards. The grill and kitchen were perfect for cooking and morning coffee on the porch so relaxing. If you appreciate a top notch lake and like water activities you'll love this property. Hopefully we can return next year, the owner is easy to work with and communicates well.

Our visit to Maine in September was a special treat for us Southerners. Our stay at this charming lake home was the best decision ever. Even our teenagers spent hours playing on the rocks, swimming, enjoying the beautiful lake view. The house is super comfortable with room for privacy, as well as lots of "together" time. Every night was family game night, with the board games thoughtfully provided by the homeowner. We were easily able to drive to nearby towns and attractions from our "home base." It was a perfect New England getaway!

Fantastic property!

We loved our time at this lakefront property. This beautiful, spacious home is nestled in the woods on a sandy beach with gorgeous views of the cove and the lake. The deck and dock are perfect for jumping in the water or just soaking up the sun. The yard is totally private, making for a very relaxing getaway. The property is exactly as pictured in the listing, except the beach area is even nicer in person. Additionally, the owner of this property was accommodating and easy to work with. He was informative and readily available for questions. We loved our stay at this house and would return in a second.

Great vacation!

Our family stayed here on Raymond Cape at Lake Sebago for a week in August. Let me say one week was not enough! The house is beautiful, and comes complete with all the comforts of home. The owners were super easy to deal with, responsive to any questions, and our security deposit was returned fast too. The home is in a very quiet, beautiful area, and comes complete with dock, deck, and beautiful private sandy beach. Our kids swam all week, and caught their first fish, a small mouth bass! As well they caught frogs, minnows and even 2 crayfish. The property sits on a little cove off the smaller side of Sebago so you are sheltered from noise or rough waters. As for the beach there's a gradual sandy drop off perfect for the little ones. My only regret is that I dropped the ball on a boat rental, by the time we got up there my desired boats were booked for the week. We visited Freeport 1 day, that was ok...but we were all happy to get back to the house. I recommend you stock up with food...and your beverage of choice!! And don't leave cause you wont want too! We are already planning and looking forward to next summer, can't wait to return!

Wonderfully week away with teens!!!

We had a wonderful week in this home. The house and yard, including dock and beach, were perfectly set up for our family, with four teenagers and several visiting friends throughout our stay. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, yoga, reading, game playing, and renting a paddleboard and jet ski kept everyone entertained and happy. We had a great time and stayed by the house the entire week.

Wonderful Place to Spend a Week

The listing was better than as advertised. The house was very clean and well maintained. Sandy beach, dock and location on the lake really made our vacation. The owner really takes care of the place and was very helpful before and during our stay. We hope to return next summer.

Beautiful Vacation Home

We had a wonderful week here on Raymond Cape! The owner was very helpful and answered any questions we had. The house was very clean and nicely decorated with modern kitchen and baths...very comfortable for our family of six. The sandy beach and crystal clear water made for great swimming and floating on rafts. The kids had lots of fun climbing on the big rocks and fishing from the waterfront deck. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and were able to explore the big beautiful lake and do some tubing as well. This home is located on a cove which made our vacation very peaceful and relaxing. We hope to be back next summer for another memorable vacation!
