This gorgeous, recently renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is located on the seventh floor of Sugar Top. With endless views of Grandfather Mountain, pool access and minutes from the Slopes! Featuring modern appliances, brand new furniture and completely updated bathrooms this unit is sure to have everything you could possibly need during your stay. With a king bed in the master and twin/full bunk bed in the guest room, this unit will sleep a family of 4 very comfortably. You will have full access to the heated indoor pool, hot tub, saunas, and weight room in the first floor Lobby.
Sugar Top has a shuttle system. Please be advised that the parking shuttle is run by Sugar Top. Resort Real Estate and Rentals has no control over the shuttle system.
All Sugar Top Condos are Non-smoking. Absolutely NO PETS. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign rental agreement upon booking.

There is also a Sugar Bus stop at the entrance that will transport guests to and from the ski resort. The Sugar Bus runs on weekends and holidays during ski season.

Wonderful Stay!

We stayed here for a quick ski weekend. It was a convenient location for that and the accommodations were very nice, clean, and comfortable. The decor was cozy and modern. We really enjoyed it and would stay again!

Beautiful condo!

Overall stay was excellent! Condo was clean and very reasonably priced. Parking is at lower lot so shuttle is required to get to main facility. Slope within walking distance from lower lot. Great location for small family.

Nice updated condo

The condo was great! Updated and looks like in the pictures. I gave it a 5 star, but the cleaning company could have done a better job. Looks like the toilets were missed and and there was a hair in the bed. But other than that, great little condo.

Beautiful Clean Condo

Gorgeous condo, recently renovated so everything is super nice. Beautiful view from the deck, and the room is on the corner of the building which is really nice. The only drawback was having to ride the shuttle to our car, but it was quick to get to the building to pick us up so it wasn't too bad. It was just inconvenient for us because we like to stay out late and it didn't run after 11pm. Otherwise everything was perfect, including the awesome pool and hot tubs. Would definitely stay there again!

We are excited that you enjoyed your stay. The shuttle is run by Sugar Top so we have little control over it. However, we were under the impression it ran 24/7. We will contact them to see if that has changed so we can communicate that better to our guests.

The seventh floor location afforded an incredible view of grandfather mountain. The building and surroundings are very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the building, but were able to find several interesting waterfalls in the area as we ventured out. It was a wonderful way to spend the Fourth of July weekend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, it was a very nice experience. The condo was well kept, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The view was great when the weather was clear, but with the high elevation, fog would easily block the view. Parking our car and having to shuttle up and down the mountain was very fast. I don't think we ever waited more than 2 minutes for the shuttle to get us from either point. However, it would be nice to have quick access to our car. Access to a hot tub and indoor pool was a huge factor for why we booked it, but we never used it. The area was clean but the air was thick with chlorine. The location was great with quick (10-20min), scenic drives to most stores.

Our stay from January 17th to 21st.

Good: comfortable mattresses Good: sufficient TV, helpful during snowstorms Good: shower temperature Good: central heating Room for improvement: Cleanliness... found hair in the bathroom, in the bedroom... Used a pot only to boil water. Found a dirty pot stored in the cabinet. Number of pillows: as they are very low, we didn't have enough to stack one on top of the other. Our necks suffered. Comfort of the sofa. We were stuck for 2 days due to the snowstorm, and it was a bit uncomfortable. We used only a few glasses, plates, and a pot to boil water. But we noticed that the apartment has enough utensils for future guests to prepare more elaborate meals. It's important to highlight that we had good service at the building entrance from the staff, but we also encountered other staff members who were quite rude. The apartment is okay, but the entrance to the building needs significant improvement.

Clean is the best thing I can say.

The condo was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. I understand the shuttle is out of the hosts control, but it’s important to mention the lack of convenience this location offers. to people looking to rent in Sugar Top. You can not quickly get something from your car or just run out for a moment. In addition, this listing is a bit misleading. The draw of this location is all of the winter activities, so when booking it was critical I found a unit with a washer and dryer. This unit does NOT have an in unit washer/dryer you can use (it is there but locked). You have access to a communal pay washer/dryer. I expressed my disappointment with the misleading listing. Also, the fireplace is locked and not usable. Lastly, it’s stark from the lighting to not a single extra blanket available. Overall it was fine and clean, but I would not stay here again.

The condo itself was very clean, well appointed, and newly remodeled. The view was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting on the small balcony. There were several issues with the amenities in the condo. First, there was NO air conditioning. I know it's the mountains, but it was very hot. There weren't even any fans in the unit. We had to go and buy fans in order to sleep at night. The owners really need to invest in a small split in order to continue renting in the summer. There was also no blow dryer. The parking situation was also a hassle. You had to drive up, unload, and then drive to the bottom to catch a shuttle up to the building. We wound up having to wait when we arrived because there are only 5 spaces for loading and unloading. We also had to stop at a realtors office to pick up the key. Who does that anymore? With digital locks, I shouldn't have to go out of my way to pick up a key, and then return said key. Overall, Sugar Top was a bust.

Nice property but a few concerns

The unit is newly renovated and nicely decorated. It feels open and spacious as it is not crowded with too much furniture, as I have experienced in other units at SugarTop. I had a couple of concerns. First, that there was no in unit laundry available. With young children, it is a major inconvenience to not have in unit laundry available. Every other unit I have rented at SugarTop provided in unit laundry, so as another reviewer posted, the ad is misleading. And unfortunately, I booked our stay prior to their review so expected to have access to laundry in the unit. Second, the rental office is offsite and has a 10:00 AM check out time. That seems ridiculously early and factoring in the shuttle to access our car, pack our car and time to drive down the mountain, check out is actually even earlier. I loved the property other than these two items and would likely reserve this unit again, IF in unit laundry were provided. Otherwise, we will look to rent a different unit for our annual trip. If you are not concerned with in unit laundry or early check out times, then this is a very nice unit.

Every condo in Sugar Top Resort is individually owned and each owner chooses whether to use the washer/dryer units provided by the condo building on the odd numbered hallways or install their own personal washer/dryer in their unit. Our descriptions mention if the washer/dryer has a unit in the condo, but all Sugar Top condos have washer/dryer available. In the future if you have any questions or specific needs please contact our office and we can help with those. Our check-out times are 10:00am for all rental units. Since we often have people coming in the same day as your check-out, it is imperative that we get the units ready for housekeeping to get in them and clean. In the future if you need a later check-out time, please contact us and we will do our best to accomodate that if at all possible.

Nice condo, but Sugar Top is terrible.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was nicely renovated, nicely equipped and well laid out, but the entire process from check in to check out was terrible. In order to check in you are required to go to an office located off-site from the Sugar Top resort to sign papers and pick up keys. After that, you go to the Sugar Top resort and are required to check in at a guard house with less than friendly security staff and are giving a parking pass and given 15 minutes to drive up to the actual resort and check in (yes check in again) and unload your vehicle before being required to drive back down the hill and park in one of the dirt lots (they don't believe in gravel at Sugar Mountain apparently). Then you have to walk back up to the guard shack and wait on a shuttle van to take you back up to Sugar Top to your room. Once at the room there are 2 elevators (only 1 working at our time of stay). I would suggest being prepared to wait for 45 minutes to an hour to get your luggage to the room at check in or check out. Upon check out you have to have the keys to your room back to the off-site location by 10am or you will be charged they stated. The whole experience was less than desirable and we will no be staying at Sugar Top ever again.

The balcony is a great feature too, with spacious room and stunning views.The fitness center is small and doesn’t have free weights, but it does offer a few machines, which is better than nothing.As for the location, it’s very close to the slopes, but it’s not exactly walkable to the nearest lift. The property offers a shuttle service, though you'll need to transfer to the resort’s school bus shuttle to get to the lifts. The same applies when you return after skiing—there’s a bit of a shuffle between the shuttles. We did find a shortcut to the slopes, but you still need to use the shuttle to get closer or walk down in your ski boots with your skis, which isn’t ideal.Another downside is the parking situation. The building doesn’t have a dedicated parking for guests at the top. There are just five unload spots, and after that, you need to move your car to one of the lower lots. To get back to the building, you’ll have to call the shuttle again.While the apartment itself is fantastic—spacious, clean, and recently renovated—the commute, especially after a long day of skiing, can be a little overwhelming. The school bus shuttle brings you to the parking lot, where you need to wait for the hotel SUV to do several trips to shuttle guests back to the building. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over the parking or the shuttles, we only manage the condo itself. Sugartop staff does their best to get everyone shuttled promptly. Nice the Winter no A/C

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the newly renovated condo, but there were several things that needed to be addressed. It needs to be very clear on the listing that there is no A/c. I know this is the mountains, and 20 years ago that would have been fine, but with todays climate A/C is a must in July. In addition, there was not a single fan in the unit. We had to go out and buy fans in order to sleep. We were also shocked by the lack of parking and the shuttle system. There wwas plenty of parking in a top lot, but for whatever reason we were required to park at the bottom and shuttle up. If we had a family this would have been even more of an inconvenience. The other inconvenience was picking up a key from the rental agency! Who does this anymore? Give me a code for the door the morning of and call it a day. The whole experience was archaic. In summary, the condo itself is nice, clean, and the kitchen well stocked, but the lack of comfort amenities made this a bust.
