Wonderful home with incredible views of the lake and mountains everywhere you look. Home was as advertised and was comfortable and well located. We were able to get to several destinations within 15 to 30 minutes and I had fun at Interlaken as well as Lauterbrunnen viewing waterfalls and hiking.

This property was absolutely perfect! The views of Lake Thun and the mountains were spectacular. We rented a car and traveled all around the area. The location of the property made it easy to travel to Zurich, Bern, Interlaken and the Lauterbrunnen valley. We also played golf at a beautiful course near by.We shopped at the nearby Migro, where we bought groceries for the week. Denner is in the same building and it's a great store for wine and beer.The kitchen is great for cooking and there is a washer and dryer in the laundry room. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. We had the best time. We were sad to leave, the weather was so perfect. Thank you David for being such a gracious host.

It was perfect!

We stayed at the little villa for three nights in July 2025 and it was simply amazing. A previous guest, Steve, had mentioned in his review that the bushes were a bit overgrown and blocked the view. Since the view was a key reason we chose this villa, I inquired ahead of time to see if that had been addressed. To our delight, the bushes had been trimmed before our arrival (thank you, Steve and the villa owners!), and the view did not disappoint — it was absolutely breathtaking the entire time. We made the most of the terrace and enjoyed it every chance we got!We were traveling with two of our three sons, and the third bedroom with the double bed — which isn’t shown in the photos — was a wonderful surprise. It’s a lovely room!The villa was ready well before 4 PM and perfectly clean. I honestly have nothing negative to say — it was the perfect start to our family vacation in Switzerland!

Almost Great

Good: Amazing view. modern amenities. Washer/dryer were great. Interior very clean (any cleanliness issues are related to the exterior) beds comfortable, furniture newer and nice. Mostly well supplied (see below). Location was excellent, quiet neighborhood with quick access to a lot of major attractions. Owner was responsive with easy check-in and check- out. Bad: Ran out of essentials: coffee, paper towels and napkins. As another mentioned bushes in the back were over grown and partially blocked the view. Needed some basic yard maintenance i.e. trimming, general cleaning of the back porch. It was hot, cleaners left exterior blinds up all day so after a day of hiking and afternoon sun the interior temps were uncomfortable the first night even with fans. Overall it’s a nice place and beautiful. Driveway access is a little tricky to find the first time but once you know where to turn, no problem. Some minor adjustments and this would have been a perfect place.

Best view ever!!!

We booked this place for the location and the view, both of which did not disappoint. This was situated so that we could easily access interlaken by car and it was easily the best VRBO view I have ever had. The accommodations were basic, but met our needs. I would book this place again!

A little piece of Heaven

Book this place. It is a dream. We went in winter and it was every bit of a white Christmas we imagined it to be. It is well located in a local neighbourhood that is classy and beautiful and interlaken is nearby. The only thing to note is the sharp turn down the main road and the carpark being a flight of stairs away. But, it is beautiful and it is well built. We were warm in the snow and the house is well equipped. It feels like a home that is built with love, not a property that is out to earn a quick buck.

Little is not exactly accurate, “compact“ would be better. This is a very well maintained property, with a very responsive host, and a fantastic view of the lake of Thun and the mountains on the opposite side. Communication with the host was outstanding

Spectacular View and Attentive Host

The house is comfortable and the view of Lake Thun and its surrounding mountains is spectacular. We missed the turnoff for the house. David, the host, emailed us a link to a map, but the lack of connectivity on Verizon's international plan has been a disappointment. We arrived from Phoenix, Arizona after enduring almost four months of temperatures up to 118 degrees Fahrenheit, and we found the house cold. David supplied us with firewood and brought in an electrician to do an override that allowed the heat emitted by the floor tiles to be increased. David also helped when the Miele dryer repeatedly insisted the plinth filter needed cleaning. He sent the cleaner over. She explained there are three filters in the dryer: the standard lint filter, the plinth filter underneath it that we had been cleaning repeatedly, and one more that looked like a large black block. Once that was taken outside and vigorously tapped to release its lint, we had no more issues. A small Volg market is close by and can supply basics. We had a reason to visit nearby Frutigen and found its large Coop market very well stocked. Highlights of the trip included a ride up Mount Niesen on the funicular. Check the mountain top from the kitchen window and go when it is visible. Don't miss the views on a cloudy day! The cleaner recommended Geissbach Falls, a beautiful waterfall with 14 cascades. You can hike up and walk behind one cascade. Funicular and boat rides are other options.

Wonderful property with an amazing view. Access was super easy and a quick 10 minute drive into Interlaken. The Hosts have a gem here and it has everything you might need. We will go back!

Gorgeous property with a view!

Our family of 5 stayed for 5 days and loved it all! This house was clean, spacious and had a spectacular view - the outdoor patio area was gorgeous! Would definitely stay here again.

Mixed feelings about this villa

We had very mixed feelings about this villa. It was clean and in a nice location. It was much smaller than we expected from the photos, and the 3rd bedroom hardly fits a double bed. There is one small bathroom that is challenging for 4-5 people to share. It was very hot and there were not enough fans. David (?owner or property manager) was kind enough to bring us 2 more fans. The view is nice, but partially obscured by giant bushes that were not trimmed. The main issue was that the toilet seat apparently broke, although none of us noticed this issue. I therefore was charged an extra and quite large amount of money to replace a toilet seat (an amount that was likely enough to purchase 5 toilet seats) and I feel it is the responsibility of the owner to replace a faulty toilet seat. I therefore would not recommend renting this property.

Unreal place!

Nice stay!!

We enjoyed our stay! Patio was a beautiful view and perfect for cheese and wine in between busy day and going out for dinner. Very quiet! House was clean. You can tell the owners take pride in it.

Great view

This place was awesome! They had the most beautiful views of the lake. Rooms were clean. Enough towels for all the guest we had. One complaint is the owner had very strict rules. They had notes all over the house, made you feel not at home. Overall the place was great and had a nice kitchen. The house is perfect for a small family and friends.

A Dream

The house is perfectly situated with stunning views of the lake and easy access to all the major things to do around Interlaken. It was clean and well taken care of. Cannot recommend this house enough!!

Ein wunderschöner Ort :)

Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer war super :) Wir haben unseren Hund mitgenommen. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch:) Ich möchte definitiv nochmal dahin. Kleine Warnung an alle. Die Straße ist sehr klein und sieht auf den ersten Blick wie ein fußgängerweg aus. Wir hatten einen riesigen Ford Bus mit dem wir gekommen sind haben aber trotzdem grade so reingemacht. Also falls ihr ein großes Auto habt müsst ihr nur vorsichtig und langsam reinfallen dann wird das schon :)
