Kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed. There were games, books, great streaming service. The A/C kept us nice and cool. Everything was great! Derrick was very available to help with any questions. Thank you Derrick.

The house was as described, the owner was very accessible and very responsive. maybe a bit more backyard landscaping would enhance the outdoor grill and table but outside of that our stay was great, we would be back.

This property was great for our stay on the Hilo side of the island. It was clean and well stocked. The host was great and responded to any question we had, before or after arrival. With 2 teenage girls on the trip, it was nice to have 3 bedrooms. We will definitely consider staying again if/when we get to come back.

Ideal place if you appreciate quiet and the ambiance of a local neighborhood. Kitchen is well-supplied. Bathrooms & showers are roomy. Very clean

Perfection!

We loved this house! Two sisters and their husband’s stayed here, ages 67-74. The house was comfortable, spotless, well equipped and our check in instructions and info about the house were impeccable. We enjoyed the back patio area for morning coffee and enjoying the sun. The heavy duty blender helped create some delicious daiquiris! The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well.The landscaping was primitive but the gardener in me delighted in the treasures we found- pineapple, blooming anthurium and several trees and bushes, including a very tall cactus at the driveway edge. We would definitely choose this place for another trip to Paradise!

Shopping during the Merrie Monarch week

The 3 bedroom rental was perfect for us three ladies and the distance from the airport to the host rental is similar to my home island of Kauai, from my house to the main town of Lihue.I would recommend my friends if they are looking for a place during the week of the Merrie Monarch festivities, they should look into this rental property listed on VRBO.

Renovated, well-equipped house

Beautifully renovated house. Perfect for a family with its 3 bedrooms. However you must use your car for all your travels as Paradise parc 20 minutes from Hilo and there are few services nearby. Owner Derrick is easy to reach and his communications are clear and to the point.

Perfect Location

This was our first trip to Hawaii so we had no idea about the area or what to expect about anything at all. We enjoyed every last moment, and this house was the perfect home base for us. We found the house just as described, very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and lovely. There was plenty of shopping and restaurants close to us, though we did make a few trips to the Kona side of the island for some activities, not that there wasn’t plenty to do on the Hilo side. That was a bit of a ride, but the island is so beautiful it’s really not a problem! I would definitely stay at this property again.

Hawai’i / Grandsons

I rented this property for my daughter and her family would have a comfortable place to relax. My daughter stated that there was plenty of room for her family and everyone had space to relax in. Property was easy to find and was away from busy streets and yet still close to many places of interest and shopping. When my family comes in the future I will definitely rent this house again.

Good location, quiet neighborhood

Home was in a good location in a quiet & beautiful neighborhood. The size of the house was perfect for our group of 7 people and very clean. I loved that they had extra items for their guests like flashlights, coolers, games, etc. We stayed in August and it got quite hot without AC. The host has fans in every room to help combat the heat which would probably help more in months outside of summer. Overall this is a great place to stay on the Hilo side.

The owner was very good at communicating the instructions to me. He informed me that the property will be hard to find initially in the dark. I made sure to arrive to the property before dark. I inquired about a washer and dryer at this property. Derrick said there is a washer/dryer outside near the carport. Our travel party consisted of 4 adults and two children, under 10 yrs old. The place was good for us. We were ending our vacation with 3 nights in Hilo, after being in Kona. Upon arriving, one person had to open the chain-link gate to so the car can get in. The property (yards) is spacious with plants. You can hear the tiny frogs at night, they sound like birds. The check-in was easy with the key pad. The house was stuffy initially. We had to open the windows and turn on the fan. There is no air conditioner in the house. The bedrooms were nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom did not have shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. The house did have hand soap. The hallway bathroom always felt stuffy to me. We didn't really get to cook since we only had 3 nights and our schedule was tight with sightseeing (water falls, ziplining, and Volcanoes National Park). We did heat up our leftovers and made coffee that the owner provided. The microwave was cool because it had a rack in there. The television has movies, but we didn't really have time to watch too much tv at night.

Nice place but hot

The property is as described. It’s clean and fonctionnal. The beds and linens are brand new and comfortable. The absence of air conditionning was however an issue for us. It does become cool at night with the windows opened and the fans in fonction, but it was very hot during the day when we came back at the end of the afternoon to get ready for dinner. Also, take note that the washer and dryer are in perfect condition, but they are situed outside in the carpot which is less practical. Nice stay overall.

AMAZING

I just want to say thank you for the three days. If I had seen the listing I would’ve booked it for the two in a half weeks we were staying. This is a great place to stay with your family they provided everything which was great. The beds were comfy, the house is clean and great. Location was easy to find but we are from Hawaii so that could be why it was easy. 10/10 recommend.

I have traveled to numerous places in the world. One thing that I always look for is, will I want to ever return. Not only will you want to return, you may not want to leave. My wife and I have a large family. We personally stay at this property when ever the opportunity allows. The island offers continuous hospitality. The locals are genuinely appreciative of you. You will see a constant accepted greeting, followed by the word Aloha. We believe that the people show more than the love that is given

The reason we are so in LOVE with this property, you only have to enter the land. The Little Yellow House screams escape to paradise. The land is over an acre of natural vegetation. You will actually see Pineapple, Coconuts, Avocados, Oranges and more. This is all on the property. You will see a variety of brilliantly colored birds flying all over the property. The are no natural predator's. You will see the ever present gecko. This property will be forever a place of incredible family memories. Hopefully for you as it is for us.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

There are so many unique benefits provided by this property. The most important is that you conveniently located next to everything. You are centrally located. You can drive only minutes and you are able to see live sea turtles (really) or breathtaking sunsets. You can drive to the enchanting town of Hilo in minutes. The volcanoes are a 45 minute drive away from the house. If you continue on the same path you will arrive in Kona. There is always something to appreciate on the island. If this is your first visit, the Paradise house will only raise your expectations for the rest of Hawaii. Aloha
