Wahoo Cabin - Table Rock, Jones Gap, Caesar’s Head, Pretty Place Chapel

The cabin sits on 5 acres of land and has so much privacy. We are 15 miles from "Pretty Place Chapel", Table Rock State Park, Jones Gap State Park, Caesar’s Head State Park, Swamp Rabbit Trail, and Victoria Valley Vineyard. We also have 100 Ft of riverfront property for you to enjoy swimming and/or fishing. We are centrally located to enjoy nearby Greenville SC, Traveler’s Rest SC, as well as Brevard, Asheville, Hendersonville and Pisgah Forest in NC. There are over 200 waterfalls and hiking trails within 10 miles of Wahoo Cabin. We are surrounded by so many outdoor activities to take advantage of! If you like camping, this is camping with a flare. Wahoo Cabin is cozy and comfy so that you feel at home and a part of nature. We look forward to sharing this beautiful and unique area and Wahoo Cabin with you.

The space:
You have access to the whole cabin. The space is unique with mostly handmade wooden furniture. Small but quaint cabin that I hope makes you feel right at home. Pets are welcome, however, if there is damage to the property/cabin, there will be a $100.00 security deposit required. This is required ONLY if there is any damage. We do have a $30.00 non refundable pet that is required for up to 2 pets.

Other things to note:
Enjoy the coffee, creamer and light snacks that are provided. Please take advantage of the area. There are restaurants, shopping and groceries 15 minutes away in the town of Travelers Rest, SC. Two state parks within minutes and lots of hiking and waterfalls within the surrounding blue ridge mountains. Don’t forget to utilize the Swamp Rabbit Trail for a beautiful walk or bike ride. We have a kayak and canoe you are welcome to use at the beautiful nearby Lake Jocassee. (Bring your own life jackets or rent from Devil’s Fork State Park)

There is a one-time $30 pet fee that is required for up to 2 pets.

Wi-Fi is available but because of the mountainous area, we do not have an unlimited data option.

We do have a TV but there is no streaming or channel options. We have a great movie selection you are welcome to. The cabin is intended on getting guests to enjoy nature and get away from technology.

The cabin is fully equipped with all you will need for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped as well as an electric grill. There is no toaster or blender.

We do not have a traditional fire pit but there is a fire stand that we use to enjoy campfires under the stars. Firewood is NOT provided but can be found at the nearby gas station in Cleveland SC or the Ingles Supermarket in Travelers Rest SC.

Great Stay!

I had a great stay! Allison was a great host! She has everything you need in the cabin for a great stay. The cabin was great and it’s close to Table Rock and other scenic views! I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a getaway!!

The Perfect, Tranquil Getaway

Wahoo Cabin is the perfect, quiet little cabin to getaway for a while. Very conveniently located to Table Rock State Park, Caesar’s Head, Travelers Rest, Pickens and more. Nothing fancy about the cabin, but all you’d need for an easy getaway is there. If you aren’t a fan of Keurig, bring your own French press, or frequent the fun coffee shops not far away. So beautiful and highly recommended!

Pretty (Perfect) Place

Great Getaway

Cabin was clean and cozy. The property was beautiful and had everything that we needed. The cabin is in a perfect location as the roads to the cabin aren't too windy but there is amazing hiking and great mountain views right in the area. Allison was a great host and we hope to return in the summer to enjoy the cabin again.

Great little cabin

This cabin was perfect for what I needed. Upon arrival it was spotless and had everything I needed. There was even a dog bed and dog bowls. I highly recommend this cute little cottage.

Peace and quiet by the river

We loved Wahoo Cabin by the river! Little cabin was just perfect for 2. Simple and well appointed. Very clean and comfy. We work in the area so the washer and dryer were much appreciated! We ate our dinner outside on the covered porch and listens to the river and the birds. ❤️. Just perfect!

Peace and Quiet

The cabin was perfect for a short getaway for our 17th anniversary. It was clean and had everything we needed to make the getaway relaxing and enjoyable. Allison was a great host. Very responsive and had great suggestions on where to eat and what to see while there. We ate at Sidewall pizza in Travelers Rest. It was delicious. We went to Ceasar’s Head and hiked Ravencliff Falls trail. Highly recommend this. While the internet is not great in the cabin we had perfect cell service with AT&T.

Beautiful property

This cabin is so nice! It’s the perfect size for one or two people, has everything you need, and the location is wonderful- close to so many state parks and trails! If you plan to go to Caesar's Head or Jones Gap, make reservations first - I wasn’t able to visit them but there were plenty of other things to do. I can’t say enough about how pretty and private the property is! We even got to wake up to chickens in the yard one morning - a special treat for my two cats! Allison is also very communicative, should you need anything. And there are lots of extras should you forget something!

Travis (my partner) and I love the cabin and are thrilled to be able to share it's beauty. My father died tragically in 2018 and he left this cabin to us. For so long, it was a source of pain for us because of the time we spent there with him. This caused even more pain because his vision was sitting empty! Someone recommended listing here and that's what we did. This idea has healed us more than anything. The shared comments that people say about Wahoo Cabin fills us with joy. To be able to share his vision that came to life only shortly before we lost him, has been a blessing. We honor him in all that we do and hope you will come and see just how special this place this.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The property sits on 5 acres of private land. We have river access and can travel to hundreds of waterfalls/trails and 5 different state parks within minutes. We are also 15 miles away form the prettiest place on earth (my opinion) called "Pretty Place Chapel" or Fred W. Symmes Chapel. This is a must to see.

The cabin has so many different flowers/plants that something is always in bloom. The river is great for trout fishing and/or fly fishing. Fishing poles and a small tackle box are available as well as a kayak/canoe with paddles if you prefer open water. (several lakes nearby)

We also have a fire-stand and I recommend a fire always. The cabin's location is perfect for star gazing.

If you enjoy the outdoors, this is the place for you. Hundreds of waterfalls/trails, 5 state parks within 15 miles and access to a beautiful river right on the property. Many guests have mentioned how quiet, quaint and lovely the cabin and property are. Come see for yourself. We hope you love it and as your hosts, we aim to make your stay all that you want it to be.
