Harbor Home Base is a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom fully remodeled Oak Harbor, Washington vacation rental that checks all the boxes. This professionally decorated house offers an inviting escape with high-end furnishings, 5 Smart TVs, board games, and a stocked coffee bar. The kitchen is a chef's dream and is set with plenty of cookware and dishes (even for the kids)! Get a great night's rest with top-rated mattresses, blackout curtains, sound machines, and soft linens. Have to work? No problem! This home has two desks ready for you to plug into the highest speed internet available. During the week, you will likely see US Navy Training Jets from Whidbey Island NAS!

Located on over an acre with a large backyard.

Guests will have access to the whole home and yard.

Just a reminder, this home is located on Highway 20 and next to the entry for Whidbey Island’s Naval Air Station. Though we have worked tirelessly to ensure your comfort and to control the sound from inside, please keep in mind you may still hear road noise and Naval jets. We have foam insulation, sound machines, and blackout curtains to mitigate this as much as possible.

This property was great for our family's needs. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making communication a breeze from start to finish. We appreciated the thoughtful effort to mitigate road noise, which was well-managed as promised in the listing. We spent most of our time enjoying the inviting upstairs space while preparing for a local wedding. The kitchen was well-stocked, the bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and well supplied. The care put into making this a comfortable place to stay is truly evident.

The host was outstanding, responsive, flexible, kind. We were very pleased with the property’s interior, it’s well maintained, comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious. The properry is next to the road so you can hear the vehicles esp at night. This is hard to tell from the descriptions/pictures when booking. We also noticed the basement room carries a scent of mustiness/construction, maybe need to air out more or have an air purifier. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Great place for a big group on the island

A great place when staying with several folks on the island. It's a bit loud (close to the road) but really easy to get everywhere you might want to go and the inside of the place is very nice.

The Harbor Home Base was the perfect place for our family to stay. With 4 couples and two pre-schoolers, everyone was comfortably accommodated. The location is close to Oak Harbor and was only a 20-minute drive to Deception Pass, where the wedding was located. The entire interior of the home has been beautifully renovated and updated. Everything feels clean and brand new. Instructions for check-in and check-out were clear and simple. I highly recommend this home for any group or family wanting a nice, comfortable home base on Whidbey Island.

A very lovely home. The kitchen was well-equipped with lots of cookware and storage space. The bedrooms were nice-sized with comfortable mattresses. It was clean and a very comfortable home. The host was very communicative and eager to make our stay the best possible. The only hiccup was our first night there. As mentioned on the property description, the home is by the Air Force base and can be noisy. There was a loud, late night/early morning training that interfered with sleep, but our remaining night was much quieter.

Perfect stay for our family

The home is a little unassuming from the Hwy, but once you step inside, you'll be impressed with the space. The home is newly renovated and fully stocked with everything you and your family will need for a comfortable stay. No detail was missed with the craftsmanship, furniture and countless amenities.

Excellent stay

We stayed 5 nights at this wonderful property! We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures . Very clean and well stocked. We really appreciated that they had children's cups and plates for the boys to use. Also appreciated the availability of coffee and great coffee machine. The location was perfect for us - close to a family wedding we were attending. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Nice comfy stay with plenty of space.

I have rented many homes on Vrbo. I can honestly say, this is the best I’ve ever slept at a rental. I was worried about the highway noise and it was no problem at all. The beds and all the bedding are super comfortable. A fan provided drowned out the traffic sounds. The home was equipped with everything my family of five needed for a ten day stay. The location was perfect for us. Five minutes to the navy base and five minutes from town. The house was very clean and cozy. Great communication from the host. Highly recommend!!! My family would definitely stay here again.

Group Running Trip

Very Clean, convenient location. Google directions send you to the wrong side of the highway. Just FYI. Traffic noise inside the house was not an issue for us. Plenty of space and nice furnishings for our group of friends, one with a toddler, to stay for the weekend for a trail running event.

Beautiful house on a busy road with a little noise and excitement overhead

This property shows a LOT of pride of ownership. They’ve clearly put a lot of work into this place and it shows…probably the cleanest and nicest for the price on our trip. Only downsides were the following: 1). Very busy road which did offer some noise; however, that also means great access which was nice. 2). There were planes flying overhead for hours and sometimes late into the night since it’s right near a naval base. They can get pretty loud but if you’re a plane buff you just might love it. I’d definitely stay there again but may just put in some ear plugs. Thank you for hosting us, Sarah!

Family thanksgiving

Kitchen had all the items necessary for cooking and plenty of room in the kitchen, dining and family room. Basement gaming area was an added bonus. Short walk to convenience store for goodies. Rooms were comfortable and house was clean. Tv had all of the apps available to log into to watch your favorite holiday shows.

Beautifully remodeled home. Cleanest vacation rental ever visited. Comfortable, well stocked. Conveniently located to attractions. Traffic noise from state route 20 can be a distraction. Otherwise, lovely home.

Stocked and loaded!

If you are visiting Oak Harbor, this is the place to be! The house was recently renovated and was the most loaded (supplies/utensils/etc) vacation home we have ever stayed in! The home is very spacious making it a perfect landing spot for families. Further, the location makes for easy access to SR20 so that Oak Harbor, Anacortes and Deception are all just minutes away!
