The Lake Effect on Lower Post Lake gives all the feels. It takes place before you arrive, the nature, the trees, the “up north” vibe. This beautiful lake home greets you with wonderful pine throughout. You can see the lake from the first steps in the door. It's modern and bright.

The property sits higher up from the lake giving you an eye-level view of the peaceful surroundings. Plenty to do or not do, it's your call.

Our stay was simply amazing! The cottage was spotless and exactly as pictured.The bed was comfortable, and the host was so kind and accommodating. We had wonderful, cozy Fall nights and can't wait to come back!

This cottage is Wonderful! So many amenities from foosball to a Keurig. Very spacious, fantastic bed, great appliances, very clean and modern. We absolutely loved our stay. I highly recommend others to contact these very nice folks to enjoy a trip north.

Great Cottage!

Perfect rental for family

This rental was very clean and owner was quick to respond to every question. We loved being on the lake. Our location was perfect for our needs. We would rent this home again when visiting family in the area. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Lake Effect. It is a nicely remodeled and thoughtfully appointed getaway that had us wishing we never had to leave. Comfortable and cozy, picturesque and peaceful. We want to go back! Also, great host! Accommodating and great communication. No worries!

Cute Lake Cottage

This property is very clean and the owners were easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property to rent. We would like to come back in the summer to take advantage of the deck on the water!

Relaxing vacation

Lake Effect is a wonderful updated property with amazing lakeside views and access. What a plus we were able to also dock our boat at the property! We will surely return to the northwoods:-)

Cozy and Clean. Great Lake Access!

We had a great time staying at this updated and cozy cabin. Plenty of places to rest inside, the A/C was very appreciated. Everything was clean. Short walk to the stairs and you are brought down to the lake. We tied our boat up on the dock while there and enjoyed kayaking also. The host was attentive and had sent helpful detailed instructions a few days prior. Would love to stay again!

Lower Post Lake

Very nice newly remodeled cottage. Had everything we needed. Outside was nice with a firepit and wood with new steps going down to the pier. You can fish from the pier. A nice little get away!

Cozy Stay on the Lake

Despite it raining most of our stay, the cabin provided a lovely place to relax for a long weekend. It was easy to find, and the lake was absolutely beautiful when we were able to get outside. The cabin itself was very clean. As a city girl myself, I had to get used to the hardness and smell of minerals in the water, but that was more of a personal issue. It was very easy to communicate with the host. Any questions or messages I sent, she answered almost immediately. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay.

Nice relaxing getaway

The cabin is updated and super clean. The lake is a few steps away. All of the extra amenities made the stay so much nicer— like extra towels, bedding, and the kitchen was fully stocked! The property is in a quiet neighborhood and the owner lives nearby. She was available to answer any questions and gave great recommendations of where to eat and things to do….would definitely recommend this property if you are looking to relax with the amazingly beautiful surroundings of the northwoods!

Post Lake Bliss

Idyllic little cabin on Lower Post. This place is extremely clean and updated. WiFi worked great! They put in a beautiful new dock while we were there which worked great for our boat. The neighbors were so nice, helpful and tolerant of our very energetic golden retriever…they even gave him treats!!! The owner was very easy to communicate with and lives close by which is always nice. We had a wonderful time. Looking forward to coming back!

Serenely Peaceful

The cabin is very newly remodeled and beautifully done. It is small and cozy with every square foot utilized well. Lysa is very responsive and considerate if her guest's needs. She has the cabin stocked with everything even a first aide kit. We were a little concerned with how close the neighbors are, but they are all so friendly our concern vanished. We will definitely return. Hopefully, to see the beautiful Fall colors.
