Have fun with the whole family at this stylish one story home. This listing includes a brand new kitchen and appliances, new bathrooms, flooring and carpeting throughout! Exactly one mile from downtown Boyne City and Young State Park, and 7.5 miles to Boyne Mountain.
The space
Newly renovated home is bright and cheery. Plenty of room to kick back and relax with friends and family.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home, a double lot yard and a deck facing Lake Charlevoix.

The house was clean enough and the location was absolutely perfect for an active family. Walking paths/sidewalk to town and to the state park were right there, scenic view right there, dog park right there, a friendly little community to walk the pups in right there. About a 1.1 mile walk in either direction for touring the town/ food/ shopping or to go hiking in the park. Place was small, but adequate. Some minor details such as plumbing in the bathrooms being loose or the towels smelling a little moldy, but nothing concerning. Only one back door leads to fenced yard - that was a little exciting upon arrival. Fenced yard is smallish, but works well with a dog park near by Locks worked well, kitchen was stocked as advertised, and we felt safe and comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay, and while the yard was small, the dog park was close by and our dog enjoyed it!Cute rooms and well stocked. The mattresseswere too soft though.Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return !

Bugs galore! We pay good money to try to stay at nice places and this one disappointed a little. We killed about 30 horseflies, and dozens of ants and spiders. Cleaning is definitely subpar. Could be a great place if cleaning and bug prevention was properly done. You can definitely tell the hosts just rent and don’t treat this place like their own.

Everything we needed

Great place for us to stay the wedding we were in this weekend. It was a nice space. Plenty of cookware and pots and pans.

This was a wonderful home to stay in! It was comfortable and clean, in a great location and as described in the listing. We loved the updated kitchen and beds (and sheets). The only addition that would have created a better experience was if there were window covers over the front door (those of us using the bigger bathroom needed to run across the kitchen and in front of the front door in order to reach the other bedroom). The picnic table in the kitchen was a little small, but we made it work. Great communication with the owners! We hope to be back.

Felt like home

We were comfortable the minute we walked in the door and enjoyed our time here very much. A block above the lake with a nice view from the deck. Close enough to Petoskey and Mackinaw City so we could explore the area, but in a peaceful neighborhood so down time was relaxing. Couldn't have asked for a nicer host, too.

Perfect for small family

Great host & perfect home for a small family or group. We went on a snowmobile tour and to Boyne Mountain. The house was close to all activities and the downtown area. Great stay, we would definitely recommend this home to others!

Cozy weekend getaway

Simple cozy bungalow perfect for a weekend away from Chicago and somewhere we could bring our dog. My husband and daughter took advantage of the snow and visited Boyne mountain, a 20 min drive away. we also visited the nearby dog park. We all had a nice time, but the dog had a blast! The kitchen was nicely stocked with staples. The grocery store and restaurants only a short drive away. Would definitely come back.

Great property

As advertised. About 12-15 min from Boyne Mountain Ski drop-off area. It is an easy drive. The house is small but recently updated. Bedrooms are on opposite sides of house for good privacy if you want to watch TV at night. We had no issues with wi-fi bandwidth. Streamed multiple movies on TV and iPad, etc. Washer and dryer worked fine. Convenient to grocery store. Kitchen well stocked with dishes/cookware. Dog yard is well fenced in. A light out back would be helpful for my old blind dog to find her way back to the door. Would bring a flashlight or lantern if we stayed there again.

Nice place to relax!

Place was clean and nice. Only problem I had was the WiFi was so slow I couldn’t watch Apple TV without numerous pauses due to signal strength. Used my company MiFi device to connect to Apple TV. Then it worked fine. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Great location! Beautiful view of lake Charlevoix from the lookout point and from the corner of cottage lot just 2 short blocks away. Easy access to grocery, downtown Boyne City, Charlevoix, Walloon, Petoskey and more

Great getaway

Kristen has created a lovely space that is in close proximity to everything you need for an up north vacation. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and the well equipped kitchen were immaculate. We enjoyed beach time at the Young State Park, boating on Walloon lake and delicious food at the many Boyne City restaurants. We especially liked Cafe Sante. This is a great home base for all the area has to offer. Kristen is a very thoughtful host and takes pride in her cute house.

Great place to stay to enjoy Boyne City

This is a recently updated property just over a mile to charming Boyne City. Nice quiet neighborhood with a lake view from the location on a slight hill, 2 blocks from Lake Charlevoix. Bonus dog park around the corner. Would stay here again!

The property has had extensive interior improvements, and it is a quiet retreat at the center of life in Boyne with beautiful parks and quick access to Lake Charlevoix.

A Welcoming Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage and Kristen was a great host. She communicated well and prepared for us nicely. She even left a ball for our dog, who enjoyed a tidy, fenced-in yard. The reason I gave a four star review is because the dryer didn't work, which, in all fairness to Kristen, she mentions in the property description (we didn't notice). We encouraged her to put a sign on the dryer. Would stay again next time we visit Boyne City.

Great Host

We have stayed at this house before and it was exactly what we needed (we booked it again because the house was as described and the Host is great). Kristen communicated well and really made us feel at home. She went above and beyond! Everything was taken care of (included excellent snow removal as we received nearly 12 inches of snow during our stay). We would definately rent with her again.
