Scott and Forreste Markowitz are lifelong residents of the Texas Gulf Coast. They both grew up in Southwest Houston and remember many happy times in Galveston with family and friends.

When they became empty nesters, they moved to League City and now spend most weekends in Galveston exploring the island or relaxing on their boat while watching the pelicans, porpoises and other sea life. So, when they discovered a place that they could transform into a peaceful oasis for guests to enjoy while visiting Galveston, they created The Bluefish Bungalow.
