Everything was pretty good. We did have trouble with the hot tub but got it fixed so all was well. We did have issues with cockroaches, though. We killed 5 in the house (plus the 1 mouse but he made us feel like we were home as we have the occasional mouse in the house!). I think the pesticide team was arriving the afternoon after we checked out so hope that takes care of the cockroach issue. Otherwise, we had a great stay and enjoyed the house and the amenities.I hope you as the owners felt the same about hosting us!

Let me just go on record that the master bedroom bed is HUGE!!! I think it’s a Cali King, and after a long day it fit the bill.

Lovely home and pool!

This cute little bungalow was just what we needed for our trip to Galveston!! It was the perfect location for our needs. The pool and outdoor area was beautiful and so inviting! We had a few simple issues which the hosts took care of immediately. Their communication with us was top notch, which we appreciated!! We would stay in their home again next visit!

Great Galveston house!

The owner was helpful in explaining the hot tub and the house in general. The hot tub and pool were very clean! We enjoyed spending time on the patio! Everything was great! Would stay again next time I am in Galveston.

Great time!

House was perfect and fit us well, 6 travelers. Kids loved the pool and we loved the jacuzzi. Close to everything and we really enjoyed Galveston! Highly recommend this property. The owners were present for questions and suggestions on what to do. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house.

Wonderful stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. We had a family vacation over Christmas, which included my 91 year old grandmother (limited mobility) and my 13 year old son (all ages in between). The seating both inside and out was fantastic and made for great family time. The owners reached out on several occasions to give us additional information which was appreciated.

We had a great stay in Galveston and the hosts were pleasant and accomodating. The house is centrally located to the beach, dining, and other attractions. The house itself is setup nicely and well accomodated. We would recommend this house and these hosts.

We stayed here as a large family with children and toddlers.While the location was convenient and the backyard layout was appealing, the property did not match the listing description of a “resort-like” or recently updated home.Upon arrival, the house had a strong cigarette smoke odor despite being listed as non-smoking. Cleanliness was a major concern, including dirty dishes in cabinets, half-used toiletries, and pest activity in multiple rooms.There were several safety issues that made the stay stressful with young children, including loose wall fixtures with sharp edges, long blind cords near the pool doors, an unfenced pool area, and children’s pool toys with visible mold and exposed metal.The hot tub and pool required significant attention, including excessive chlorine levels that caused discomfort, and the overall condition of furnishings and beds was heavily worn.Communication with the host during the stay was responsive, but several expectations and charges were not clearly disclosed prior to booking.This property may be better suited for adults who are comfortable managing maintenance and safety concerns during their stay. Families with young children should proceed with caution.

Charming property close to the beach

Our family of 5 had a fabulous time at this charming home. We had plenty of room, loved the hot tub and pool, and were a short walk to the beach. The house had plenty of amenities from beach towels, shampoo n conditioner, pool toys, kitchen appliances, etc. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 for cleanliness was because it is an older home with older details in some of the rooms. The home owner was quick to get back on text and dropped off essentials when we ran out. Our family is hopeful to be back!

Great Pool, Quiet Location

Home exactly as pictured with good sized pool and ample outdoor seating in the sun and shade. Six kids from 1-9 and four adults in our party fit comfortably in the house. Pack n play there for little one. Walkable to beach but easy beach parking one minute from house. Kitchen is small but was efficient. Good communication from hosts made it a great week.

exactly as advertised and then some!!!

The photos and information on the listing were spot on. The house was adorable and filled with all that we needed. We traveled from PA with very little luggage. Towels, laundry, sheets, bedding and even toiletries were available to use. The beach was in walking distance and there was a wagon, sand toys, inflatables, coolers and other beach goodies to use. We had a great time using the pool and grill. The owner kept the pool very clean. Our large family of 8 would stay there again and bring a friend!!!

Well stocked pool house

We definitely overpacked for this stay - the house was SO well stocked! From toiletries, to towels, to pool and beach items, all was at our disposal. The home was comfortable and roomy. The backyard pool area was the highlight of our trip for my kids. They were in the pool sun up to sun down. Communication with the owners was easy and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay! While it is walkable to the beach, I wouldn't necessarily advise it! We drove the short distance to avoid dragging all our gear, and parking was easy and pretty affordable on the seawall.

Fit all of our needs!

This was our first time in Texas and it was such a great experience. The house is a short walk to the beach and it was very cool to look up in the sky and see all the pelicans flying. We used the pool and hot tub everyday - the backyard was perfect with lots of seating in the sun or the shade. We met Anna and JC and they were just as nice in person - great communication and they were very flexible. The kitchen is a little small if you plan on making meals at the house but we made it work - they have absolutely everything you need though. Thank you for opening your home to us! We will be back for sure.

Awesome!

This house was amazing from the moment you walk in the front door. The house was very clean and the décor definitely fit the island theme. It felt like home and not a cold sterile rental. The furniture and bedding were very comfortable. The property was adequately supplied with basics for the kitchen, pool area and linens. The outside patio and bar were perfect for relaxing the afternoon and evening providing both sun and shade areas. The owner was very accommodating and made certain we had everything we needed during our stay. We were 10 adults and fit comfortably. The house was very easy to access from the main roadways. Perfect Week

We absolutely loved everything about this place. There were 6 of us. My husband, myself and our 4 children ages 16-20. The communication was excellent. The location to the beach is very convenient, and we loved the backyard! We enjoyed early mornings on the patio overlooking the pool watching the birds every morning. We spent our days at the beach and our evenings grilling and playing in the pool and the late nights in the hot tub. The place was beautifully decorated with plenty of space for all of us. The grocery store is a very short drive and there is a short drive to the donut shop and restaurants. They had lots of towels and wash clothes available, a washer and dryer, a Keurig, rafts for the the pool and beach toys. We were all very impressed and plan to come visit again!

Perfect vacation house for family or friends

We had four adults and four kids, ages 3-5, and this house was PERFECT for our needs. Frankly, I can't think of any true cons, more just things to consider for those visiting. Pros -Sleeps 8 easily and more if you are so inclined (extra mattresses available and two couches) -Beachy, welcoming decor -Well maintained pool -COMPLETELY stocked house. Seriously, they have thought of everything: toiletries, towels, sunscreen, kitchen appliances, pool toys, filtered water, blankets, boogie boards, gas grill with propane, outdoor cooler. Not really cons, but food for thought -Pool doesn't have much of a shallow end (manageable for with kids in life-vests or floaties) -While it's easily walkable to the beach, it would be a haul if you brought more than a beach bag with you. Also, the walkable beach doesn't have any facilities (no fault of the homeowner, simply an FYI) -Kitchen is small, but still has everything you need.

Family Christmas Vaca

House was great for our group of 12, which included a wheelchair. Everyone had a mattress to sleep on & there were plenty of towels, blankets & pillows. Kitchen was also well stocked with lots of plates, cups & cookware. Hot tub was a huge hit with our crew! And the 5 min walk to beach was amazing! Also appreciated use of washer & dryer. As mentioned in another review, bathroom door is too narrow for a wheelchair, but they aren't advertising as handicap accessible, so we weren't expecting it to be. But garage entrance was great for the chair! Only downside was overall size of rooms were smaller than they appeared in pictures & all closets/drawers/cabinets had so much stuff in them it was hard to unpack anything. Also, would be awesome perk if pool could be heated. ;) Anna & JC were easy to communicate with & accommodated our early arrival so graciously. They even left us some cookies & pumpkin pie & champagne for New Year's Eve! ;)
