A Simpler Time Country Cottage is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Tucked in a small hamlet between Keuka and Seneca Lakes our home is about 10 minutes from Penn Yan, and less than 30 minutes from Geneva or Watkins Glen. Driving in any direction you will find farmland and vineyards. Dozens of wineries, amazing state parks, beautiful lakes, farms, shopping, and so much more all close by. We invite you to come make yourself at home. We are honored to welcome you to our hometown in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. Please send us a message about special rates for traveling workers.

Friends get together

Had the greatest weekend with some old friends. House was the perfect size for three couples. Enjoyed the fire pit. Property is convenient to Seneca and Keuka Lake activities.

Family trip

We came to the Finger Lake region for the endurance race at Watkins Glen. The house and yard were amazing. Everything was labeled, so there was no question where to find things. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you need to cook.The guide was useful for looking into local activities. Some in our group had never experienced fireflies, and our 1st night, they put on a show.

Great time in the Finger Lakes

The house is located near the midpoint of all the lake. We made day trips to a number of the attractions in the area.The house is well furnished with modern washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave.The beds were very comfortable, my sister said it was the first time she had a new to her bed that she had no trouble sleeping the first night. The house is located in the country and there was no noise at night.Excellent WiFi.Would highly recommend this house.

Peaceful, immaculate and cozy farmhouse for FLX visit!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property in Milo. It is fully-stocked and immaculate! We appreciated the hosts' communication before/during/after our stay and look forward to returning for future Finger Lakes adventures!

Wine tasting getaway

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was clean, welcoming, and in a great location. The house had everything we needed and we loved how the kitchen was labeled. The beds were comfortable and we loved all the space! It’s the perfect getaway for the Finger Lakes region! Host is a great communicator. We highly recommend!!

This house was exactly what we were looking for near wineries and museums. Everything was just as described on the site. Cooled down and immaculate when we arrived. We found everything we needed and many special little touches that made us feel welcomed. Thank you Minnie!

This was a delightful spot to spend a few days in the area with friends. The charming old house was impeccably clean and cared for. The furnishings were comfortable and updated. The kitchen was organized, well labeled, and stocked with very nice dinnerware, probably the nicest I have seen in a rental property. Because of the heat, we did not experience an outdoor fire, but everything was there to make that happen. We did enjoy evenings outside in the peaceful yard. The owners were very responsive to any messages we sent. Check-in was flawless. Also, the air conditioning was very effective. It was really hot, but the units in each room kept us comfortable.The only suggestion we have is adding grab bars to the showers. The surfaces were a bit slippery because of the soft water. Even a rubber mat might help. Overall, we enjoyed every minute of our stay, would stay here again, and highly recommend it!

Finger lake trip

Our stay was awesome. The house had absolutely everything one needs for a get away. Remodeled interior. One of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in and all instructions were simple and easy. All we had to do was relax when we got in. We thought it was a perfect area to stay to go explore the Finger Lakes region. The host was so responsive. They thought of everything. Instructions to get in were clear and they had things labeled so it was easy to find things. It was so close to Penn Yan but had the country feeling. Would stay again if heading to the area.

We were very pleased with our stay. We are 4 Seniors on a short vacation to explore FLX wineries. Communication was excellent from the hostess. The location was about equidistant between Keuka and Seneca lakes (about 10 minutes). This is an older house but has been kept up nice. Everything was clean and the house was quiet. Everything we needed was provided. The hostess had every drawer labelled so we could find everything quickly. No major complaints but a few observations. There are 2 upstairs bedrooms that are very roomy and a nice bathroom with a shower. However, the steep steps leading upstairs would be difficult for someone over 6 foot. The ceiling in the stairway is very low. The upstairs would be perfect for teenagers and children though. The downstairs bedroom and master bath were great. The VRBO had a new washer/dryer in the kitchen. Most rooms had individual air conditioners. The only thing we wished was provide was a Keurig. There is a filter coffee maker provided but unfortunately, we brought KCups and not ground coffee. I know, 1st world problem. Final thought - we would definitely stay here again and hope to do so on our next trip to the FLX in the future.

Quiet location!

What a wonderful place! It was exactly as described in the listing. Minnie was a great host. The house was cooled before our arrival. Lights were on (we arrived at night). House was clean. Felt safe. The yard was spacious, great for a campfire in the fire pit. Quiet neighborhood. Wifi worked great. Looking forward to renting again!

A Diamond in the Rough

Don’t underestimate this home because of its simple exterior. Once inside it’s clear this house is not what you’d expect. Our stay was lovely. The homeowners have refurbished and decorated this three bedroom home between the lakes beautifully. Furnishings are new and comfortable. The house is spotless and includes everything you could want. Their Wi-Fi and streaming from our services worked very well. The dining room table was perfect for games in the evening. We used the flat top grill outside for preparing a delicious breakfast. The fire pit was just what we wanted for roasting hot dogs for dinner. The location is perfectly placed between Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Give this spot a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
