Welcome to a beautiful new 4BR/2BA house located in Summer Camp Beach West, 100 steps to the beach. Cozy coastal cottage with swimming pool👙
A private pool for Summer Camp guests makes this the perfect family getaway! This home boasts a screened in porch with outdoor dining and a water view, gorgeous floors, and quartz countertops. Relax in a cozy and open living room and dining area. Kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, gas range stove top, standard drip coffee maker, and ice machine.

Located in SummerCamp Beach, this resort community provides a unique beach experience that is both rustic and natural at the same time. At certain times during the year there may be seaweed that washes ashore and may decrease the amount of beach that is exposed.

There is a community pool within walking distance of the home. Kick back and enjoy breathtaking views of the gulf as you lounge at the beach or swim in the pool.

Commune with nature as you walk along one of the many boardwalks in the community that wind through the undisturbed marshlands, wetlands and woods.

This is what old Florida feels like and you will sense that you have stepped back into a simpler time, where fishing, boating, shelling, swimming and reconnecting with family is possible. Located just 45 minutes south of the Tallahassee airport, getting here is quite convenient, but leaving will be very hard.

This property has a 2 night minimum.

Places to visit in the surrounding area include: Tate's Hell Nature Trail, the Historic Carrabelle Lighthouse and Museum, Camp Gordon Johnston World War II Museum, Dog Island Ferry excursions, charter fishing, kayaking, cycling paths across the road, guided boat tours at Wakulla Springs, Panacea's Gulf Specimen Marine Lab (with touch pools for children), Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve, a variety of local seafood eateries and a local supermarket.Close by is the beautiful St. James Bay Golf Course and Resort 370 Acres of Golf Community, Resort Style 18 hole Play golf course designed by Robert Walker. The Famous Crooked River Grill is just 15 minutes away. Located a little over an hour's drive from Tallahassee, and only twenty minutes from St. George Island and Apalachicola.

This was an excellent choice for a nice, quiet Labor Day weekend with friends. Good size for two families to stay comfortably. Great access to the beach and pool. Our kids loved walking to beach to see the little critters that came in and out with the tide. And they loved the pool. Nice quiet location. And lovely at night to see stars. The back porch is perfect for your morning coffee or late night relaxing. My only suggestion is to check the dishwasher because it seemed to clean but not dry fully.

Graduation Trip

We loved this property so much! There was plenty of room for our group, and the house and location are gorgeous! Sitting on the back screened porch listening to the water was one of our favorite things to do. This is definitely a great place to spend good quality time!

This place is fantastic!

We stayed here with our grown kids and had a wonderful time! It is just steps from the beach and has everything you need. The owner is helpful and responsive. So many great little restaurants nearby, and a couple nice golf courses. We'll be back for sure!

The perfect reunion spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, plenty of room to socialize both inside and outside. We loved the screened porch for relaxing and the well stocked kitchen made us feel right at home. And we all agree the beds - all of the beds - were a real delight. Parking was plentiful and the neighborhood quiet and peaceful, and well maintained. The beach access was wonderful! We hope to come back next year.

A Dream :)

It was so wunderful to life in the house. The Owner Kathy an Jeremy was so nice people. When we are the next time in Florida we take these house again. The recreation in the area and in the house was so unique! Amazing!!!

Bigger than it looks

We rented this house so my graduating son could have a beach weekend with his friends. The space was just right for our family and these board game loving kids. They LOVED the community pool, and the beach at low tide had lots of little critters to discover. We specifically picked this house because of the gas stovetop. The house was exactly as we expected but bigger inside than it looks in the pictures. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We'd rent here again.

Great Place to Stay and Relax

We rented the home because our youngest son was graduating from FSU and getting commissioned in the USAF. It’s an hour south of FSU but well worth it. The house was clean, updated and stocked well. The renters thought of everything to accommodate the guests. The beach is not far at all. Publix and Walmart are about a 30 minute drive, FYI. Nevertheless, the house was great! Would easily stay there again, not just for a graduation weekend but for a short vacation.

Slice of heaven!

What a dreamy place! Well appointed home and great communication with Kathy before-during-and after our stay. Very clean and tons of space for our family of 5. More than enough! We so enjoyed this very isolated beach and amenities and can't wait to go back. This is the PERFECT location for young kiddos. To our shock and surprise, we saw 3 bald eagles during our stay (one of which landed on the beach right next to us). Just magical! Don't hesitate on this one! You will love it. <3

FSU game with bonus trip

The location is amazing and super close to a very private beach. My son and his friend had a great time fishing on the beach. They caught redfish and flounder. My wife and I had amazing walks each morning on the beach while having our coffee. The walk around the property was really nice as well, with a ton of wild flowers, birds, alligators, a fresh water spring, all on the property. The property is still under construction but still very pleasant, the workers were all super friendly. This place will continue to improve each month, with landscaping and improvements are happening every day. They even have a restaurant that will be open eventually. We initially we looking at hotels in Tallahassee to go to an FSU game and decided to come here because of the value. Roughly the same price for the brand new 4 bedroom home with a beach as a hotel in Tallahassee. It was about 45 min drive to get to Tallahassee, super easy and absolutely no traffic. We all look forward to more FSU games and visits to this place in the future. Thanks for an amazing weekend!!

Beautiful Home

We absolutely loved the home. It was beautiful and clean and updated and perfect for our family. That being said we were disappointed with the beach. It was very natural and beautiful in its own way, but not what we were looking for. If you’re looking for a beach where you can swim and enjoy the water this is not the area you want to stay. There was plenty of wildlife to see, stingrays, dolphins, crabs and more but the water and beach was littered with sea grass and when the tide went out there was very little water at all, mostly just a marshy area. We did enjoy our stay however by visiting nearby St. George Island state park which has a perfect beach for us and very few visitors. The Summer Camp neighborhood has a lot of new construction going on at this time but a wonderful pool area to enjoy. Overall I’d say if you are looking for a very natural area to enjoy beach and ocean animals this would be a perfect place for you.

Summer camp June 2023

Overall the stay was good. The house was very good, the owners very responsive and super nice. I had driven through the area and seen “summer camp” many times. Always thought it would be a great place to stay. I had seen all the great reviews and thought this would be a great place for our annual family vacation. My experience was mixed. The house was great (except WiFi is really bad), the owners very responsive but most of the things that impact my review are out of their control (in my opinion). The development is under construction daily. The pool area is in terrible shape, the restaurant closed, the grill area off limits to guests, the beach is not comfortable to use (if you are used to gulf white sand beaches) it’s more of a undeveloped marsh area than a beach. The development needs to be completed. The residents need to be nicer to the workers and renters (like me). Would I stay there again… no. Would I recommend this property…. If you are looking for seclusion and quiet and no amenities outside of house yes. The owners were great. The house great…. It’s just a different experience from what I needed / expected for my family. It’s not summer camp beach… it’s summer camp. If your looking for a family beach vacation spot this area is not that. The developers need to step it up and help the owners make this development a successful one.

Family Vacation

Beautiful and spacious home! The rooms are perfectly arranged to where we felt comfortable and not crammed in. The screened back porch was our favorite place to relax after a long day. The beach was different than what we are used to but we enjoyed it! It was private and pretty calm. We took our SUP out many times. The low tide in the evenings made it fun to go explore life beneath the ocean. The pool was amazing! We loved being able to go there when we’d had enough sand with all the kids. Overall our stay was excellent!

Relax at Summercamp

I’ve eyed this neighborhood at the coast for years. Was thrilled to stay at this cute new cottage with ample sleeping for my group. Kids rode their bikes,!played on the sandbars and had a great time at the awesome pool.

Gorgeous beach home, 10/10!

We had 4 adults and 3 children under age 6, and it was the perfect family vacation. Plenty of space for people to spread out, stunning pool, and a beautiful beach just a few steps away. We all enjoyed exploring the beach during low tide, and if you’re craving larger waves, St George Island is a short car ride away. The home is beautiful, clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. If you are looking for a slower paced, nature filled, relaxing vacation this is the place!

Jeremy works full time in the IT industry as a Internet Security Officer and Kathy is a Travel Consultant in the Travel industry.

We love to travel together to different locations, spend time with our family, flop around in the water (oceans, lakes, and pools!), go sightseeing, golf, hike, and relax!

We love this property for its seclusion and scenery. It is tucked away from the typical hustle-and-bustle of Florida coast living. It provides a great retreat for our family to reconnect while disconnecting from the outside world. The location is just far enough away to find peace, but just close enough to big city living to "get our fill" of that part of vacation too! Bonus... It's only an hour away from Tallahassee our home!

We pride ourselves on treating this home as our own. As you'll see, we didn't skimp on anything! We like nicer amenities, so we want to also provide that for guests in our home as well. We're very new to short-term renting but are always looking for ways to make the experience better for you.

Summer Camp Beach is a quiet, and privately held locale that provides secluded and dedicated beachfront to its inhabitants. It allows you and your family to peacefully recharge your "batteries" in a calm and safe atmosphere.
