Great beach within walking distance

Check in was easy but 20, to cover parking pass & gate entry for parking & beach gate. Building is under repair & the elevator is very slow, it also has signage that says it was out of order.Where we parked the 1st day had a leaking sewage drain overhead & our car ended up covered in sewage. We did move after we realized it was dripping onto our car. The condo is reasonably quiet, some people walking up & down the hallways at night but nothing unbearable. Inside the condo it was kept very clean - absolutely no sand anywhere. It’s an older condo & the decor is a bit dated but again, VERY clean. We were warned beforehand there was a soft spot on the floor of the kitchen. When we arrived, we discovered there were multiple soft spots in the kitchen and bedroom. It was highly unsafe & the owner let me know he did have the floors replaced after our stay. It was incredibly unsafe while we were there. He did offer us a 75 refund, which covered 15% of what we paid.The glass on the patio door was also loose, so we didn’t open the patio door much so we wouldn’t risk breaking it.Toilet was clogged, difficult to flush.The 3rd day, the water was turned off for the building. The office said the owners had been notified, but our owner didn’t know till we told him. That was when he offered the refund. Access to the beach is great. It’s a 2 minute walk to the water’s edge from the condo. It was a quiet, peaceful beach. Not overcrowded. We probably won’t stay again, though.
This is the biggest soft spot. We had to keep our toddler away from this spot the whole trip

Perfect location

This is a great location with fantastic views! The property was very quiet which was nice. My daughter loved the cozy bunk bed. The place is pretty old and has its quirks (plus construction going on downstairs- which we never heard so that was good) but that comes with the territory. Great super close private access to the beach. Condo had everything we needed and would definitely stay here again.

Nice place, good weekend stay...only issues; hot in livingroom, poor air circulation , air draft cones from sliding door to balcony. .both doors to bathroom would not close

When we arrived it was very hot, assuming that maybe the air had been off due to not being rented. Notified owner next morning that thermostat was not working and needed to be serviced, I asked for a reduced rate due to sleeping in heat, did t expect that since I waited to the next day to notify that they would not reduce rate. On Sunday upon coming back from my run, there were 2 roaches in the bathroom. Didn’t know there was a time limit to report a malfunction in the air conditioner , I’m not an a/c tech so I didn’t know until I called my older son who informed me that the unit was not working right.othet than that the unit was great location and reasonable prices.

Never Coming Back

Room very small. Pool had three plastic chairs which made it hard for us old timers. No lounges to relax. Very disappointed in the whole week-end

Great Value

Great value and great view of the downtown fireworks. The only hiccup we had was they were still cleaning the room when we got there so we had to stand outside the rental for about 30 minutes. Other than that, it was great. Would definitely stay again.

Great spot, simple place

This cozy condo is a great location for corpus Christi. Can see the USS Lexington from balcony. Easy beach access (beach is not wide, but it's not busy, so you'll have room to set up for the day). The whole complex is under construction, which is needed overall. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a convenient spot to stay for a long weekend/week, this will serve you well. Quaint and just what you need. Thanks for a good stay. Had a minor a/c issue later night which the owner resolved next morning.

Beach condo get away

Property we stayed in was everything as listed. We had ac problems the second night. Contacted the property owner, and he had someone out within an hour. Place was very nice, clean and great location. We loved everything about it.

The outside of the property was a little sketch. The condo itself was good for the price. The bunk beds, not comfortable My sister said the main bed was good and my 30 yr old son was comfy on the couch Everything was fine

Location awesome!

There's nothing quite like feeling the sand beneath your toes and listening to the calming sound of waves crashing onto the shore. The beach is a place to relax, refresh and enjoy nature at its finest.

Had a good time

Was in pretty bad shape, but building repairs were being done while we were there, room wasn't clean, pre opened food containers were in the cabinets, coffee pot had mold in it, didn't use it. Front door was sketchy, looked like it had been busted open, patio door didn't stay on track, tub spout was loose, had to hold it to turn on shower. Beach was pretty, but was full of jellyfish while we were there. Hope it is in better shape when we go back after construction is done.

Great beachside condo!

We rented both of Bobby’s units in the first building, one for my mother, and one for my husband, toddler, and I. Absolutely loved being able to contact one owner for both listings. Huge plus. The unit was better than the pictures. New couch, seemingly new (and plenty of) linens, new glass cooktop. No oven as shown, but the cooktop has 4 burners and pretty spacious for the space given. Tons of cooking utensils, pots, and pans. Knives were super sharp and the pans were great quality and non-stick. Huge bonus since we made eggs every morning for the kiddo. Mattresses were both pretty comfortable and there was plenty of pillows and blankets to utilize. Sofa sleeper was pretty comfy, my daughter and I slept on it while my husband was in the bedroom. The bunk beds were comfortable too, but my kid just would not stay in one. Very happy that there were smart TVs for some easy watching, a small selection of DVDs, and some reading material. So close to the beach you’ll get some sea spray on your windows! The view absolutely is worth it. Owner is really amazing and on top of contact and you can tell they put in good effort to make visitors welcome. If you’re on the fence reading reviews, give it a go!

Such a little gem!

The outside facility age and it’s current construction is deceiving of this little gem! Even with the age of the building and ongoing construction the grounds and building common areas were very clean. The unit was surprisingly smaller than what it seemed in the pictures but very well laid out and perfect for what we needed. The area is perfect! Just past the busiest part of the beach. A short walk down the cement beach side boardwalk takes u to shops restaurants and bars. There’s a decent view of the beach and busy part of the beach from the balcony and 2 large beach lights are located within your balcony view if u would like to do some nighttime beach sitting. We will definitely use this property again!!!

Love this place!

I stayed here with my (now) husband and our kids, for our wedding. It was inthe perfect location, well kept, smelled good & everything we were looking for. Only thing that sucked, that was beyond the condo owner's control, is that the washers were out of service for construction, so I couldn't wash towels once we used them all. Other than that, everything was perfect. Bobby was super responsive & friendly. I'd definitely stay again.

Perfect location!

This trip, our family wanted a place near the beach but with more space than a regular hotel room. This condo was a great option. It was right on the beach, the balcony view was amazing, and the space was leather enough for my family of four to be comfortable. The check-in process was quick and easy. We also enjoyed one of the pools, and there was plenty of space for us to enjoy while others were as well.

On the beach

My family came down to corpus for a baseball tournament. The location of the property was awesome for any beachgoer. Access to the beach was literally steps away. The place itself was dated, however, that wasn’t an issue. The bed in the bedroom wasn’t the most comfortable, however, it’s hard to find a comfortable bed that isn’t the one you’re used to sleeping on at home. The bunks in the hall….those mattresses were definitely hard. The boys ended up taking the mattresses down and using them on the living room rug and were much more comfortable. There were plenty of blankets and pillows for all. Water pressure of the shower was great! One downside to the trip was construction happening right above us. The garbage from the workers fell down into the balcony causing a mess. And was impossible to take a nap if you wanted to. However, no big deal. We did have an issue with the guest next door one night (very loud/yelling) till after midnight, but the management team from the property sent security up. The pool was nice, the boys enjoyed it. Unfortunately, due to construction, the washing machines on the floor were not working. Thankfully we didn’t “need” need them. As far as restaurants go, not many choices close by. We did leave behind a portable charger, and unfortunately were not able to get ahold of the owner to have it shipped to us. If you’re wanting a spot in the beach, definitely recommend!

Home away from home.

My friends said this place was perfect for there needs. Cozy with plenty of space to sleep 4. It features an amazing view of the USS Lexington.

I began visiting Villa del Sol many years before buying and made my first purchase in the 80's.

All the comforts of home....but with Texas' best beach and sun. I walk out to the waters or dip in the pool and it's like no place on earth......but yet, can drive back home within hours and not have to get on a plane, run through an airport or pay tourist prices for great foods...and fun...
