We stayed in this house while we had some construction going on in our home. We chose this home because it looked updated and clean on the website, plus it was advertised as pet friendly. After booking on the VRBO website we were notified by the Host that we had to send a photo ID before they would accept our reservation. I was also told I would have to pay an additional 175 pet deposit since I was bringing my 10 lb Maltese. I didn’t see anywhere on the website where they required an additional deposit but I paid it because I needed to bring my dog. After sending a copy of my drivers license and paying the pet deposit they sent me check-in information. Check-in was easy and upon entering the home it looked cute and clean. However, after entering the primary bedroom I noticed the carpet and rug looked dirty and smelled like a big dog had just stayed there. The carpet had been vacuumed however it looked worn and you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I also noticed the backyard had very little grass but had trash and leaves everywhere. I will say, we just had a major windstorm a few days earlier. I notified the host of my issues that evening after checking in. They were very responsive and apologized for the issues. They sent someone out the next morning to clean the carpet and the backyard. They also had a new rug delivered the same day. On a very positive note, this house has a water softener and you will have the BEST shower ever.
