Five O'clock Somewhere - Pacific Grove House - The Ultimate Vacation Destination

This downtown Victorian—which once housed a clock repair shop—might be the perfect vacation destination. From here you can stroll to shops and restaurants… or head to the beach, just a few blocks away. On the first floor you’ll find the living room (with a large TV and an electric fireplace), dining room (seating for 8), modern kitchen (with barbecue out the back door), laundry, a guestroom with a Queen bed, and a full bath with a tub/shower. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (two Kings and two Twins) and a second full bath with a shower. This historic home is completely renovated and newly-furnished... the crystal chandeliers, stained glass, vintage-inspired art, and grandfather clock are a nod to a time gone by.  Take in a movie at the local cinema, browse the bookstore, or walk to the ice cream shop for an after-dinner treat. From the annual Butterfly Parade to the apple trees around Caledonia Park, there’s a reason Pacific Grove is called “America’s last hometown.”  Pacific Grove Transient Use License #482

Better than pictured

After a long day, we were so happy to find that the door opened easily with the code given in the email. The home and beds were comfortable, everything was very clean and it was a beautiful walk to the aquarium. It more than met our needs for the two days.

This is a beautiful property which worked very well for our group. It's in a great location, near restaurants and shops and Lover's Point. Everything worked well and the property is very comfortable. Communication was seamless and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great home...will stay again!

This house is wonderful! It's very clean and nicely updated. The layout is comfortable for hanging out with a group and the location cannot be beat. So wonderful to walk out the front door and be able to enjoy quaint Pacific Grove within walking distance. We will definitely plan on staying again!

Golf vacation

Recently stayed at 5 O’clock Somewhere for a golf vacation for 2 nights (group of 5) and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The house was clean and perfectly located. Can’t stress enough how great the location is… we were able to walk to dinner, with many choices along the strip in downtown, and a pleasant walk of 3 blocks to the beach past some really interesting and charming houses. If I had to nitpick it would only be for the small samples of shampoo and conditioner but not a big deal considering there was a market 3 blocks away. Never had to interact with property management because their initial email was easy to follow and we never had a problem while we were there. Will definitely stay again and would not hesitate to recommend. John

Wedding at Point Pinos Lighthouse

Very comfortable (beds, space) place for family of seven attending another family member’s wedding. Located with easy access to wedding venue and rehearsal dinner at PassionFish (food, service and ambiance were exceptional). Was very short, pleasant drive to wedding reception at Toro Sushi, Carmel by the Sea. A third, half bathroom would have been nice.

A Wonderful Stay in Pacific Grove!

The home is an historic legacy in a perfect location in Pacific Grove! It is completely updated and functional. My whole family was so pleased to be able to gather there for a family vacation.

Cozy home base in PG

We had a wonderful stay at 5 o’clock somewhere. The house is very centrally located in Pacific Grove, and easily walkable to the coastal trail, restaurants, and the aquarium is about a 20 minute walk. The house was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We slept so well! It was the perfect homebase for our family to explore the beautiful Monterey Peninsula.

Beautiful stay by the bay

This house is immaculate!! Plenty of space for 7.of us and well supplied. Kyle responds via call.or email right away. Walk to everything...restaurants, grocery, coffee, beach, acquarium, even live music down the street. Definitely recommend it though I hesitate becasue we dont want to compete. Great location. Youll really enjoy it!

Perfect location

We came into town for a celebration of life for my father-in-law and could not have picked a better location. Couple minute walk to the beach 30 minute walk to the aquarium and Cannery Row. The house itself was amazing. Beds were very comfortable. This was by far one of our better stays and would highly recommend stain at 5 o’clock somewhere. Kyle and his team very accommodating. 5 stars all around

Great getaway/stay

Great location, by all the shops and a couple blocks from the beach. Interior of house was well decorated, beds were comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay. Great for a big group.

Everything we needed

In town for a wedding and we needed to accommodate 7 adults. It filled all our needs and was very comfortable. The house is in a great location for walking to stores, restaurants and the sea shore.

Perfect Place

Five O'Clock has all the lovely touches for a quiet, comfortable stay. The era of the home is preserved, but the kitchen and bathrooms are new. We enjoyed our coffee in the living room and walked to town for a Pacific Grove breakfast at Victorian Corners The beds are comfy,linens first rate. Enjoy your stay!

Great experience

The interior of the house had just been completely refurbished and refurnished - and it felt brand new. The house is roomy and nicely located just down the road from shops, cafes and restaurants. The front porch is welcoming and nice. The yard, fencing and access to the rear door appeared incomplete, but to us this was not a concern. The manager was very responsive. We’d stay there again.

Great place

Perfect location and weather. Family reunion was great and everyone commented positively. I would suggest to the management company that one small bar of soap upstairs, doesn’t go far with four adults upstairs. Something wrong with two table lights in the living room, and we had an issue of the trash and recycling cans being full. I called the man who was our contact and he said he never got the message, even though I did get his outgoing announcement and left details. I then had to call again, several hours later, and he said a maintenance man would swing by and take some refuse out to make room and he would let me know when trash day was. That never happened, so luckily we were still there for trash trucks in morning. All in all, great place and furnishings/appliances.
