Bad Stay
We checked in around 7pm and it was dark and we shared the driveway with the neighbors so we parked around back and came in the back door. Upon our arrival we noticed a sewage smell and walking into the house it smelled as if someone had sprayed bug spray and air freshener. We continued to stay but noticed there were some weak spots in the floors. The next morning around 9am we went outside to unload the car and the sewage had leaked into the yard and up by the steps. We contacted Vrbo and the host Jasmine throughout the day and nothing was done about the situation. She wanted us to check out by 11am in order to receive a refund for one night although no one contacted us back until around 10:30. Jasmine said there was nothing she could do because she was at work until 5pm and if the sewage was in the back yard it should be fine. We were setting up for a family event and ended up coming back that night, packing up and headed home because we couldn't deal with the smell and uncleanliness. The house was beautiful on the inside but there were a lot of flaws. The ramp out back has a big hole in it so you can't use it. The steps in the front are broken and there should have been a light on because one of my family members tripped and fell, and needless to say hospitality and communication was terrible. I have reached out to the news team and DHEC because I feel that was unsafe and something should have been done right away and not pushed off.
