Pelican Paradise - An Old Florida Cottage in Beautiful Santa Rosa Beach. Located between Seaside and Destin in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach, Pelican Paradise is a4 bedroom plus loft, 3 bath home that is part of a small neighborhood of only 75 cottage style homes called Old Florida Village. A community pool directly behind the home makes keeping tabs on those loved ones especially convenient and beach access is a short stroll (approximately 500 yards). * Pet-Friendly – Up to 2 Dogs with Additional Fee

This Florida Cottage-style home features clapboard siding and a tin roof and four covered porches. Morning coffee and gentle sea breezes can be enjoyed in comfortable outdoor furniture off the private porches of each of the bedrooms or the living area. The cottage comfortably sleeps 13. First floor has a queen bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living area. The second floor offers a King in the main bedroom with private bath, a Queen in a guest bedroom, and a room with 2 twins that share a guest bathroom. The third floor loft has a set of bunks and a twin daybed.

Outdoor features include views of the pool from the fully fenced backyard, and a gas grill. In the owners storage around back, guests will find 4 beach chairs, an umbrella, and a beach wagon to help you make you way to the beach.

The location is convenient to fine dining Bud and Alleys in Seaside, Craft bar in Grayton Beach, Stinky's Fish Camp in Dune Allen, and Fish out of Water in Watercolor as well as funky dining with great jazz at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach. We are in walking distance to Gulf Place with great shops, outdoor dining at Shelby's Beach Bar and Grill, Pizza by the Sea and enjoy Sunday night concerts on the green. Eighteen miles of bike paths along the beach and coastal dune lakes makes exercise a fun and interesting event. The largest discount designer mall in the country is a 10 minute drive in Sandestin. In this hectic, fast paced, competitive world, grab a cool one, kick off your sandals, and settle into your own piece of serenity at . You will be glad you did.

Up to 2 dogs are allowed with payment of a $200 pet fee.

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood

This property was so cozy and gorgeous and very closely located to the beach and several local spots. Would love to stay here again!

Awesome property. Everything was clean. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Location was excellent. Very close to the beach, about a 10-minute walk. Proximity to restaurants and shopping was excellent. We would happily return.

Home away from home

We had an amazing time. Our extended family tagged along to Florida for their first time and they were in show at how beautiful the house was. We had all basic needs to feel right at home.

Santa Rosa Vacation 2023

Great location, loved having the beach close (frequent visited one on Spooky Lane) and pool just behind the house. House was fairly well furnished but need more than 1 dish towel and good mold cleaning. Overall, it was great! Would recommend staying here.

Great Vacation Home

Pelican Paradise was a nice place to stay. The home was spacious and clean. Located in a gated community, the neighborhood was quiet. The neighborhood pool was right next door, which was nice. Being pet friendly was important and the home had a fenced back yard that our dogs could use. The amenities worked, The only issue was the refrigerator water dispenser did not work. Very minor. I recommend Pelican Paradise for any large family.

Spring Break 2023

House was perfect for our group. Kitchen was equipped with everything for basic cooking. Only negative were the carpets. They need cleaning due to the very noticeable spots. Other than that, we had a great time. Excellent location to walk to the beach or to the local restaurants

Thanks for your review, I am sorry you had to deal with carpet spots, but as of today, there is a flooring company inside the house replacing all of the flooring, especially the carpeting!

Spring break

This was the perfect place to bring out teenage daughters and their friends. Everyone had plenty of space and quick access to pool and beach. Which gave them lots of freedom to do as they please. There was only one dish towel in the kitchen which made cleaning up really difficult and no dust pan for the broom so we had a hard time getting the sand off the floor, but other than that everything was right where we needed it to be.

Practically perfect!

Overall, the house is exactly as described. The neighborhood has several pools and has very quick access to the beach. The house had plenty of room for our party (3 families with 2 kids in each family) and had all the amenities and supplies we needed for the week. We rented a golf cart and that made the (really) short commute to the beach fun for the kids. Communication with the property manager could not have been better. They were super quick to respond and were always friendly and helpful. The only complaint our group has were the dining room chairs… there were several toe injuries. Seriously, wonderful house would 100% rent here and recommend to anyone looking!

Nice but falling apart

The facility was very nice, however, beds were really hard, pillows were flat (so I recommend bringing your own) and we found a lot of things were in need of repair or were broken. The neighborhood said it was kid friendly and pet friendly but the backyard was not very big for the dogs and there was nothing for the kids to do except go to the beach, because of being in December, the pool was open but very cold and not heated.

Thanks for the feedback, but can you please let me know as to what was in need of repair or broken? The owner stayed shortly after you were there with friends and they didn't find any deficiencies and found the beds to be comfortable. We have ordered new pillows though.

Great Location, but...

This is a great location, walkable to the beach and many eating spots! There was more than enough room for our extended family of 8 to be comfortable. However, the house needs a thorough deep cleaning, including carpet cleaning or replacement with large spots throughout the house. The floor mirror in the primary bedroom had dust so thick it was difficult to wipe off and the primary bathroom had a gnat infestation. Ceiling fans are caked with dust. It feels the house is "wiped" over but not cleaned. We had to buy bleach for the kitchen drain due to a foul smell and coffee maker stayed with "clean" alert. The dining room chairs are a hazard for the toes! One bed needs to be replaced, it was not sturdy and very wobbly for just one person. The majority of the blinds do not work, so they are a hassle to open and close - there are many! We made the place work for our short stay but would not stay here again. Needs some TLC!

Perfect for families

Overall, the house was perfect for our large family vacation. We had three kids who stayed in the loft room with the day bed and bunk beds and it was a perfect little space for them, as well as enough rooms for 3 couples, our mother, and an infant. Absolutely loved the gated front porch. We had the door open and people and dogs in and out on that porch all day long. An outdoor shower in front really made it feel like a beach house, where we could come in from the beach and wash off before going in. We were so close to beach access too, it basically took 5 minutes to walk across 30A. We made family meals every night in the kitchen. Typical for most rental houses, but the kitchenware situation is lacking, so we had to make do with a weird assortment of pans/pots, tupperware, and other kitchen items. I did notice the house was tidy when we arrived but wasn’t the cleanest. I only noticed because we have an actively crawling infant, so we were immediately on our hands and knees with him on the floor, and our feet/hands were black with dirt from day 1. However, I loved this beach trip so much and the house had a lot to do with it—perfect location, great old florida charm, and awesome beachy amenities.
