Retírese a nuestra encantadora casa de montaña en Lake Tahoe. Ven a 'Carraig Nua', en la mágica costa noroeste del lago Tahoe para una escapada cómoda, conveniente y relajante. Hemos tenido mucho cuidado para crear un hermoso espacio para relajarse y jugar; para escapar de la vida ocupada y renovar el espíritu.

Ubicado en el tranquilo vecindario de Talmont [305 Rose Pine Court, Tahoe City, CA] a pocos metros de la selva del Bosque Nacional de Tahoe y a minutos a pie del sendero Tahoe Rim Trail. Un viaje de dos minutos por la colina te lleva al puerto deportivo de Sunnyside y a las playas junto al lago. Si su actividad preferida es senderismo, ciclismo de montaña, raquetas de nieve, esquí de fondo o esquí alpino, no hay un mejor lugar para ubicarse. También está convenientemente ubicado a poco más de dos millas al corazón de Tahoe City para ir de compras y excelentes restaurantes.

El interior de la casa es luminoso, espacioso y está bien equipado con muebles personalizados hechos por artistas locales. Cuenta con una hermosa chimenea de piedra de río en la sala de estar y cocina gourmet.

Invierno: el esquí de fondo y las raquetas de nieve se realizan desde la cabina con millas de senderos interconectados en Paige Meadows y Tahoe Rim Trail. Trineos disponibles para su uso. Árbol de Navidad interior disponible para las vacaciones.

Verano: terraza soleada para relajarse en verano. Tenemos sillas de playa, sombrillas, parrilla de barbacoa a gas, etc. disponibles para su uso.

Good location

Its a convenient location. The property accommodates 4 adults and up to 4 kids. We had a bit of an emergency and needed a couple of extra hours for checkout that couldn't be accommodated. That aside, everything was good.

Great spacious cabin for 4 or more people

We stayed 4 nights and 3 days with my wife, 27 year old son and his girlfriend. I liked the floor plan of the cabin: the bedrooms were on the first floor, including the master bedroom and bathroom with 2 sinks and a separate shower/toilet, a second bedroom, a second bathroom, a third bedroom with bunkbeds, and a washer/dryer. Upstairs was the living area in an open space concept, including a living room, large screen TV, dining area, kitchen with island, and the outdoors covered deck. The kitchen was fully equipped with plates, silverware, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, etc. The cabin was clean and well kept. It is located on the west shore of Tahoe near Sunnyside, high on a mountainside. The property was accurately described in the ad. Everyone enjoyed their stay in the cabin. We spent the days hiking and jet skiing. Dinner on the deck was pleasantly relaxing. We would return again if we were a party of 4 or more.

Nice spacious cabin

We had a fabulous stay at this property! The open layout was great. It was perfect for 2 families to stay in. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The beds were very comfortable and the kids loved staying in the bunk bed room. The place was extremely clean. Laura was very quick to respond with any questions we had which was not that many since her checkin instructions were very detailed and clear. Looking forward to staying again!

Tahoe stay

A very nice home and location. The host was very attentive regarding the check in and check out information. The beds and furnishings were great. The host had provided a lot of items such as games to keep us busy. We would highly recommend this home to other families looking to visit the Tahoe area.

Comfortable house in quiet neighborhood

This house is as pictured. It is comfortable but a bit dated. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is stocked and has what you need to cook but could use some new frying pans. The outdoor BBQ is nice to have. It is almost 3 miles up from the Lake - but if you want to hike or mountain bike the rim trail is pretty close- 2 blocks away. The neighborhood is very quiet.

Immaculate Home and Perfect Location

We were drawn to Carraig Nua due to its proximity to the Tahoe Rim Trail, and the house exceeded our expectations in that regard and many others. It is just around the corner from a trailhead leading you to the beautiful Paige Meadows section of the TRT. We enjoyed morning hikes right out the front door. The house is ideally situated near Tahoe City, and we enjoyed dining, shopping and strolling the boardwalk in town. It was also convenient for day trips to Olympic Valley (Palisades Tahoe resort), South Lake Tahoe (where we did a boat cruise to Emerald Bay and more) and even to Virginia City, NV, a fun Old West town with an interesting history in gold and silver mining. And we have to mention the home's close proximity to the Tahoe House Bakery and Gourmet - we stopped there nearly every morning for coffee and muffins, or later in the day to pick up lunch and cookies. (Get the Pecan Tea Cakes!) Aside from its prime location, the house itself was immaculate - very clean and tidy. It was well-stocked with paper goods, cleaning supplies, and kitchen essentials, including spices, etc. The furnishings were comfortable, and the decorative touches were charming and aesthetically pleasing. Despite the July heat and mid-day temperatures in the 90s, the downstairs rooms remained cool and pleasant. We spent most mornings and evenings on the back deck, which was furnished comfortably, with a shade tarp and string lights that created a cozy ambiance. We loved our stay! Thank you, Laura!

An excellent getaway

This property is incredibly cozy and well equipped with all the necessary amenities. There is plenty of room to house many people in lots of different contexts (bedrooms, large living and dining room, and an upstairs workspace). The hosts go above and beyond to make the house welcoming and comfortable during the stay. It would be helpful if the kitchen cabinets included labels just because there are a lot of great amenities provided. Overall, we were thrilled with our stay and hope to return for another excellent getaway!

Wonderful home & great location

Recently stayed at this beautiful home with 2 families. The house was cozy, clean and inviting, with all the amenities we could wish for. Amazing weekend in West Lake

Amazing Home!

This is a Beautiful Amazing Home! The home was very clean and well stocked. We could not have asked for a better location. Overall, a wonderful place; we would stay here again easily! Laura was a great host! Responded very quickly and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful.

Beautiful Home

We really loved our stay. The house was very cozy and comfortable. It exceeded our expectations. It was clean and provided for all our needs. Lots of towels, toilet paper, cooking utensils, etc.. made it convenient. While we didn’t cook much, it made making breakfast easy. It was a 20 min drive to Palisades and a few minutes to town via car. Laura was so easy to work with and made check in and check out easy. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much!

Family get together. A wedding event at Lake Tahoe. Love Laura's comfortable house!. Everything there for a comfortable stay. Love the national forest right there! Took really nice walks through the forest!

Tahoe City Weekend in Heaven

Would absolutely book this cabin again. Possibly the cleanest vacation rental we've stayed at. It was perfect for us as two couples. Kitchen is very well equipped to cook meals. Beautiful view and deck to enjoy. The only thing that would make it better would be if we could walk to the lake. But, it is a short drive down to the lake and you are close to everything!!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We wanted to create great childhood memories for our kids. Lake Tahoe and our vacation home 'Carraig Nua' has been a great place for the whole family.

We love the mountains, being able take a walk in Paige Meadows and along sections of the Tahoe Rim Trail, or raft down the Truckee river on those days when we are too lazy for the big outings, and being able to hike, bike and play in some of the best western mountain terrain available.

When staying at 'Carraig Nua' we enjoy activities year round.

In the winter and spring it's downhill skiing and walk-in/walk-out cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, sledding and more.

In summer, we walk from the front door for great walks and hikes through Paige Meadows and the Tahoe Rim Trail, mountain biking, water-skiing and doing just nothing but barbecuing and relaxing.

In the Fall, the town is sleepy and the hiking opportunities are unparalleled.
