Ava Haus SILO is a beautifully decorated 1 bedroom silo/house only 1.5 miles from Main Street. The one bedroom king bed will sleep two adults comfortably. There is a kitchenette compete with a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, silverware, paper plates, and coffee cups. After a fun filled day in Fredericksburg, come back to Ava Haus and relax around the outdoor fireplace and fire pit in the common area. Firewood provided. Book now and start planning your relaxing vacation in the Texas Hill Country!

Ava Haus is an authentic German Farmhouse from 1862, located just 3 minutes from Fredericksburg on approximately three acres. Ava Haus offers a unique alternative for family and friends to gather during holidays or as a simple get a way for a few days. Our grounds and guesthouses are ideal for reunions and most any occasion. Guests can book reservations for the Silo only; or book all five guest houses.

Each guesthouse has a TV with Satellite, WI-FI internet, refrigerator (always stocked with yogurt, juice and water) and microwave. The kitchenette provides coffee, tea and a selection of snacks. Guests are free to enjoy board games, BBQ grills, and explore the ample grounds. At Ava Haus we welcome your entire family to include children and pets.


We look forward to your stay and strive to ensure that you experience the best of the Hill Country …lavender, peaches, live music, restaurants, shopping, hiking and more.

Please visit Ava Haus Dairy and Ava Haus Suite all located on the same property. Reserve all 5 cottages for special occasions.

Why this property?

When looking for property to purchase, we immediately fell in love with the grounds and the comfortable feel of the property. Ava Haus represented the authentic heritage of what has been so lovingly preserved in the city of Fredericksburg. Also, the location is perfect for us.

It is away from the center of town yet close enough to be in Fredericksburg in less than 3 minutes.

Ava Haus allows guests to enjoy the benefits of the country and still be minutes from wineries, shopping, restaurants and the natural parks of the area. Guests can have a true feel for the history of the region when they stay in an authentic German homestead complete with the original well, thick limestone walls and even the original root cellar where the pioneers stayed during times of danger. At Ava Haus we welcome your entire family to include children and pets.

The home was beautiful, and the location was perfect. The main strip in Fredericksburg was just a couple miles away which made it easy to go back and forth when we needed to get back. The hostess was also incredibly inviting, and it made our stay so much better.

Amazing getaway weekend

This was by far one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The house and property were so cute and so close to Main Street. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and we will definitely be back!

The Ava Haus Silo

Spring Break with my daughter checking out the antique stores and shops on Main Street. The Silo was a unique spot for us to come home to in the evening. We felt comfortable and safe here and everything we needed was supplied. The thoughtfulness was apparent as the hosts had thought of everything. They even changed out the wreath on the door to Easter while we were there. We had a wonderful time!

Anniversary Getaway

We loved every minute of our stay! The extra touches like fresh muffins, snacks, water and juices to the bottle of wine that awaited us in our cabin were a nice surprise and very much appreciated. The cabin was well decorated and was so cute and cozy. It is located just short drive from Main Street in Fredericksburg. We will definitely be back!

Great getaway

This property is close to town and very clean. The owners are easy to communicate with and the home is well appointed. The pictures don’t do it justice as every detail was planned out. Highly recommended if you’re going to stay in Fredericksburg.

Silo House - Awesome

We stayed in the Silo house and was pleasantly surprised at the decor and amenities. Check-in was convenient. Patricia is an excellent host and very responsive. Snacks, coffee, and pastries were available in the house. The location is convenient to HWY 290 and downtown Fredericksburg. We will definitely consider staying here again when we visit Fredericksburg again.

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate out wedding anniversary where we could just unwind and take in the local food/wine. I found this cute silo and it did not disappoint! It had do much character yet at the same offered so much comfort. I didn’t find our silo noisy as it was close to the highway. We had the best experience and we hope to return for another visit.

Silo Experience- Highly Recommend!

My husband and I traveled to Fredericksburg with friends to celebrate our friends 60th birthday. Ava Haus is everything it said it was and even more! I can only rate this a 5 star, but really it is a 10 star and I am not exaggerating. Can I just say the king size bed was soooo comfortable and the bedding felt fabulous. I'm all about the pillow and sleep better when I have a good one and I wanted to take these home. Trish has a super skill and eye for decorating in a very fun, country reclaimed way. She has more than just the Silo available, our friends stayed in the cottage house next door and it was also super cool with great decor vibes. The location was the perfect distance from town....not to close, not to far....just right! We highly recommend Ava Haus to anyone visiting in Fredericksburg, you will love this place. Oh! I forgot to say, she also had snacks laid out, with water and juice in the fridge, a scrumptious blueberry muffin for each of us and a Keurig coffee maker for those who don't function without their morning coffee fix (like us) as well as a box of Valentine's chocolates. I have not stayed a VRBO where we were so well cared for as here. I hope this review helps. And if you stay here, you love it as much as we did!
