The Knotty Pine, Hot Tub, EV Charger, Rec Room, Pets ok

3000 Sq Ft Beautiful Cabin, 500 Sq Ft of which is a brand new detached recreation/game room, at 5300 feet elevation on a large private level lot. Plenty of comfortable space for multiple families with multiple cars. 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath with accommodations for up to 12 people (9 beds). 30 minutes from Lake Alpine and Bear Valley Ski Resort. Large living and dining room will accommodate your party easily. Primary bedroom is on the entry level of the home, with a king bed and sofa sleeper. Two additional bedrooms with king and queen beds and loft are upstairs. Loft has two double beds, two singles and one sofa sleeper. Kitchen is fully stocked and ready for your gourmet family dinner. Detached Recreation Room provides fun for all with sitting area, large TV, pool table, ping pong, 14 foot shuffleboard, 60 game arcade machine, and dart board (guests responsible for bringing own darts!). Large deck has a BBQ and comfortable seating for all. Family size Hot Tub is located on lower deck and is perfect for that post skiing/hiking soak. Master bedroom also has a large jetted tub.
PETS: $150 per stay for first pet. $100 for each additional pet.
OUTDOOR LIVING: Seating, umbrella, dining table, and gas grill. Large family size Hot Tub. Corn hole boards
INDOOR LIVING: 2 large smart TV’s w/ cable , dining table, ceiling fans, board games, puzzles, books and laptop friendly spaces. High speed cable internet.
WORKSPACE: Dedicated area in primary bedroom with desk and work chair. 400 Mbps internet. Wireless Printer/Copier/Scanner.
KITCHEN: Fully equipped chef kitchen, bar w/seating, dishwasher, drip coffee and Keurig, toaster, cooking basics, complimentary spices, ice maker.
RECREATION ROOM: 500 Sq Ft of detached heated/AC fun! sitting area, large screen smart TV, Pool Table, Ping Pong, 14 foot Shuffleboard, Disco Lights, Dart Board (guests must bring own darts), Corn Hole boards.
GENERAL: Free Wi-Fi, Heating/AC throughout. Linens/towels provided, high chair, complimentary toiletries, laundry detergent, hair dryer, trash bags/paper towels.
PARKING: Large level lot suitable for several cars.

Family weekend getaway

Our second stay in the knotty pine home. Great location, close to Arnold's and lake alpine and snow areas. We had grandkids 1, 7 and 13. Our “kids” and their spouses and us. Great times. Game room and hot tub were great perks. Wonderful stay and attentive hosts.

Entertaining getaway is scenic neighborhood near bear valley

Scenic neighborhood near bear valley and Arnold. House was clean comfortable and well equipped for our getaway with friends and family. It was a quick drive to bear valley for skiing and then back for a relaxing evening in the home. Would surely recommend and visit again.

Wonderfully Nostalgic Return to Big Trees Village

This was a great homebase for our family on our return to the area where we spent time every summer, winter, and often spring as our kids were growing up. We no longer have a family home in BTV, so we were happy to find the Knotty Pine, which met our needs perfectly. The hosts provide so many amenities to make your stay comfortable and fun--a hot tub, a rec room, access to the community pool. But honestly, they had us with the spacious bedrooms and loft, all with comfortable beds and AC. We had a great time revisiting old haunts in Murphys and Arnold, as well as Lake Alpine and BT State Park. So glad to know that some things don't change much. I hope to return to the Knotty Pine!

Just perfect!

Our stay in this large and lovely home was just perfect. Home was very clean and all necessities were provided. The separate game room was super fun for kids and adults. The hot tub was large and a real treat. There were plenty of towels and all appliances and air conditioning functioned properly. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The large deck was nice for barbecuing. Beautiful and quiet area with activities nearby. We had a great time with our family and would love to return!

Family Fun!

Such a wonderful stay! The house was perfect in size. We all just LOVED the game room! It was a place where everyone stayed off phones and just had a blast playing games. The ping pong table was the hit! Hanging out at night on the large patio was also a favorite. It is close to everything and having a community pool is a nice bonus. We will definitely return again : )

Moore Family Weekend

We brought our kids and their kids. We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. The hot tub was amazing. The game room was so fun! We had Pac-Man enthusiasts that were very happy. Rooms were great and beds comfy. Hosts were attentive. Side note, there was some white dog hair on love seat…not from our brown dog! No problem just wanted to let you know. Thanks for sharing your home!

Winter Wonderland

We knew we were vacationing during blizzard conditions. That being said, this house was perfect. Kept the kids and adults entertained equally. The owners were very responsive to us throughout the stay and checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. We would definitely stay here again!

Family reunion

We had a great time at our annual winter family reunion at the Knotty Pine! Paul was responsive and accommodating and his place was exactly what we were looking for. Our large group was able to spread out and enjoy the huge game room, hot tub, and large dining table for board games on snowy days. Easy to drive up the mountain to Bear Valley for skiing too. We will definitely return!

We had a great stay two families with all ages! Game room was a huge hit and everything in the house was well stocked. Spa was a lot bigger than the pictures. And we had snow!

Christmas Getaway

Had a pleasant stay. The Christmas decorations were a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable. The game room and the hot tub made the place extra special for our young adult children. Although there were no snow, we enjoyed taking daily walks in the neighborhood.

Excellent place!

What a great place right up the hill from arnold. Plenty of room and nicely furnished! The hot tub and game room were so fun we played pool, ping pong, shuffle board, and darts! Won’t hesitate to stay again!

Perfect Cabin for Group and Worth Returning To

We were a group of 12, and our stay at this cabin was an absolute delight. There are so many fantastic aspects to highlight for future guests. First and foremost, the communication with the property owner was excellent, with quick responses to all our inquiries. The cabin itself had spacious rooms that were well-designed, and the use of the loft space was particularly brilliant. There were 5 comfortable beds in the loft, perfect for accommodating our children. The overall cleanliness and ambiance of the cabin created a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. One standout feature was the recreation room, another brilliant idea by the owner. We spent a significant amount of time here, enjoying games of ping pong and pool table. The spa on the deck was a wonderful bonus, providing relaxation and stunning views. What truly impressed us was how well-stocked the cabin was with everything we needed. The availability of extra-large frying pans was a game-changer, as we could prepare breakfast for all 12 of us at once, making our cooking time much more efficient. Our entire group had an incredible time during our two-night stay, and we owe a big thank you to Diane and Paul for their hospitality. We're already looking forward to returning in the winter. This cabin exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for a memorable getaway.

Beautiful mountain home

Located in a quiet neighborhood, this home was the perfect getaway for a family or group of friends. It had all the amenities to make it feel like home, along with some great extras including a game room with a pool table, shuffle board, ping pong, and darts. The hot tub was also a plus. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous summer getaway

Great stay! We thoroughly enjoyed this gorgeous home. The game room, hot tub, quiet community and beautiful scenery made for a peaceful vacation. We spent time kayaking and paddle boarding local lakes, hiking and swimming in the community pool. We have stayed at several properties in this area over the years and this one is by far the family favorite. Thanks Paul for having us. Hope to be back again soon.

Diana and I proudly host The Knotty Pine in the beautiful Sierra's. We are California natives from the SF Bay Area and Central Valley, currently living in Gilroy, and fortunate to have the opportunity to own our beautiful cabin. Our hope is for visiting guests to create wonderful lasting family memories from their vacations here.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

From way back in the 70's, we have both been visiting the area, primarily Bear Valley ski area. The drive here, from childhood homes and current residence is SO much more bearable than the long trek to the Tahoe area. We chose the Camp Connell/Dorrington area because we absolutely love the snow! Many times, we have a beautiful snowfall on the ground while Arnold area is just wet. It was after owning our cabin that we realized summer activities locally are every bit as enjoyable as wintertime.
