Spacious BUT…..

The code was not provided before check in. We had to call VRBO because the owner did not respond. Entire house needs a thorough cleaning. Inside and Out. There was a pack of edibles on the couch when we arrived. The microwave and stove was filthy. Sewer and tissue was running in the yard every time water was being used in the house. Shower curtain was nasty. MOLDED. The ivory soap bar package looked like it was 10 years old. Bathtub was peeling. House is not up to par for rental. Needs cosmetic and major maintenance. It made our stay very uncomfortable. Really want a refund. My grandmother did not sleep at all because she felt uncomfortable.

EASTER WEEKEND

First let me say the house was spacious and well maintained. there was plenty of room for my family, but, my son could not spend the night. The AC did not work, it never went below 80 degrees in the house. He has asthma and the heat triggers it, so it was impossible for him to stay. It was cooler outside then in the house. Although the kitchen was really nice it did not have pots to cook a meal. there was one or two saucepans and 2 skillets, I had to go to the store and buy pots to cook our meal and a bowl to mix ingredients in. If a house is listed as sleeping 10 you would think there would be utensils for that many, there were 4 spoons and 5 forks. Those are really easy things to fix to make the house a much more enjoyable place.

Not Going Back

Good: 4 bedrooms, good price. Not So Good: no soap, not enough towels, no dish detergent, no kitchen towels, no oven mitt, no garbage bags, no dish washer detergent, no coffee, creamer even for 1 pot of coffee. No shower curtains just liners that were filthy. Will not recommend anyone to stay here.

Not quite what we expected.

The listing suggests house in the country. It is NOT. It is in a subdivision, albeit a subdivision with trees. The listing suggests it sleeps 10, for which it does, but there is inadequate seating in the house for 10. At least have some folding chairs to accommodate. Communication from the host was poor, and in some cases, unresponsive. The wifi instructions were wrong, but we eventually figured it out.The house is adequate, though there were several things that have not been kept up, and that differ from the listing pictures. The floor in the kitchen was sticky, and there was evidence of a poor cleaning job like dirty rugs, old insect carcasses and trash under the beds. There were no paper towels in the kitchen, and no replacement trash bags available for our 4.5 day stay. During our stay, our communication about a few issues were met with slow response, and then when met, there was no action taken after the host offered. Some of the lighting was not functional, particularly in the kitchen. A few of the interior doors did not latch shut and lock, including the master bedroom and bathroom, which was certainly not desirable. The back yard had bricks and brick fragments scattered around. The house was in what seemed a very safe neighborhood, and the carport was handy, The heat worked, and all of the appliances we used worked. The lock code was easy to use, and the front yard was clean. The bathrooms were spacious, and the hot water heater didn't leave us hanging.

Great Place to stay!

Our stay was fantastic and the owner worked with us on arrival times. The house accommodated us perfectly and the owners were very responsive to anything we asked for or needed. Great space around the house for activities and close enough to town to feel like we had our own little place to go to tuck away and rest. Definitely will look at using this house again for next year's tournament.

Great secluded place

We loved how this place was secluded. We enjoyed sitting under the back porch sipping coffee, listening to nature. Our only issue was with bed size, listing stated 4 queen beds but one appeared to be a twin.

Great location but needs some TLC

We rented for 10 guests and the kitchen couldn't accommodate meal prep or dinnerware, so I had to bring in pots, pans, flatware, paper plates, cups, etc. The photo showed a Keurig coffee pot but had a regular coffee pot. There was seating for 4 in the dining room and no extra chairs,so we brought a folding table and chairs, too. I did have to remove large pieces of broken and half eaten French bread from the pantry, and clean some of the area in preparation for our friends arrival. Couch has stains, carport wasn't clean of small trash pieces. It is a great location and size, it is just sparsely equipped for the number of guests it can handle. I hope it can be the rental that it has potential for because the wooded area was very nice and our guests truly enjoyed their visit and the deer. They are missionaries from Turkey so they were thankful for this respite.

As others have mentioned the kitchen was low on options for cooking, but we made do. Plenty of space to stay and very secluded.

Awesome!

Great spot! Only 15-20 minutes away from downtown. House was awesome! Beautiful neighborhood, deer like to hang out in the backyard. Owner was very accommodating, we would stay here again for sure!

Perfect for our group

I only have one negative comment. We stay at these home to cook and eat meals without going out but this kitchen was not really set up for that. We made do and enjoyed our stay

Totally dissatisfied

From the very beginning, the communication was less than par. I had to find the contact number myself and reach out to them on how to access the home. The place was just not as I expected at all!! I could write a lot more about this place but I’m not going to. Just beware.

Perfection

I cannot say enough. The house is just so lovely and roomy and the property is fantastic. My dogs loved going for walks outside. I love the neighborhood and never thought about my safety, which is a nice change from here in Memphis. The neighborhood grocery store - Mac’s is my new favorite place. I would for sure stay here again and cannot recommend it more.
