My stay at Dave’s Place was just lovely. Check in was very easy and my contact with Ginny, my host, was also pleasant. The facilities met my needs along with the WiFI making my evening entertainment exceptional. Area was quite and easy access to local offerings throughout the city. I would recommend Dave’s Place to anyone looking for a good place to stay without the noise of hotels.Ginny, you were a great host. Thank you

Absolutely Amazing Stay

This was my first time booking a home and I definitely had an amazing vacation especially at the trail ride I attended.The home was very cozy and in a nice quiet neighborhood definitely will be booking next year.

You are 20 minutes from the ULM campus, which was get for us. The house was clean and we had everything we needed.

Needs some updates.

Location and overall place fit our needs, however there are some key areas that need the owner’s attention. The couch in the living room is broken and very uncomfortable to sit on. The beds make a lot of noise and are not very comfortable either. The wash cloths are really old and look very used. The tub drains slowly. Also, there is only a basic coffee pot in the kitchen. It would have been nice to have something that took K-cups. Overall, I think the owner has made updates to the kitchen and are making an effort for this to be a nice stay. However, if they want repeat business they should seriously consider fixing the issues listed above.

Disappointing

In my years of using VRBO I have never left a negative review. As much as I don’t want to, I have to leave an honest review for others. The host was always quick to reply and check in was smooth. The neighborhood was fantastic. The home itself has great potential but unfortunately there were too many things to overlook even though we tried. Other reviews had mentioned a couch that needed replaced and a slow draining tub, I believe the review was from a year ago; neither of those issues has been addressed. The couch is basically in unusable condition. You have to stand in water above your ankles while showering. While some surface level things were clean, as in the counters, sinks and stove, the house was very dirty. The floors, walls and ceiling were filthy. The ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms was missing a blade so that was not usable. The AC also needs to be checked as it rattles something awful. Now the most concerning issue, I did contact the host and they claimed not to have known and said they would send a plumber asap, it was a Sunday and when we checked out on Monday there had been no one to come by and check. The sewer cap was missing and all water from the washer, shower AND toilet was flowing out of it flooding into the back and side yard. Toilet paper and OTHER things littered the area; it seems this has been going on awhile. Again, I’m sadden to have to leave this review.

The air conditioning was good. The home was clean.Everything fine except a leak in the ceiling which was corrected right away. The host was wonderful and was expedient when or if there were concerns.
