RJ and Stacy offer a beautiful home in an awesome location. They have anticipated everything that may be needed. The cleanliness of the cottage was excellent. The accommodations for parking was great.I would recommend this cottage as a great place to vacation.

Wonderful few days of relaxing

This is a beautiful cottage, lake and area. This was our second stay and we enjoyed it just as much as the first! We were looking for a few days to relax and let the kids play. Hope to stay again next summer.

Hi Chris, the homeowner would like to share the following: “It's our mission to provide a 5-star experience for all of our guests, and we're sorry to hear that you didn't find enough to do in the area. There are many options for activities near the cottage such as a state park just down the road, a buffalo preserve, multiple wineries and breweries to tour, a few golf courses, and several antique and boutique shops. While the nearest upscale steakhouse/seafood restaurant that we are aware of is indeed about 40-45 minutes away, there are several great, casual restaurants in the area, and we continue to add recommendations to our guest book after each of our own visits to the area. Thank you again for checking us out, and we are thrilled you were pleased with the cottage and host.”

Amazing view, right on the water. Clean, cute, comfortable, quiet, well-appointed. Host was easy to work with, responsive, and very helpful!! Enjoyed kayaking and several nice dinners out at local restaurants. Great parking, easy to get to. Couldn’t have been any better. Would love to stay again!

Cottage on the Lane

There was 6 of us that stayed here, and the cottage was perfect. It was very nice and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We brought our pontoon and enjoyed the lake. It was a perfect 3 day get away, and I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a nice place to stay when visiting Lake George.

Wonderful!!

Superbly clean, quaint, very well appointed and decorated, cozy lake home. A group of 5 friends and I met here for the weekend and had a marvelous stay. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out for a spin on beautiful Lake George, taking a long walk around the lake, and spending lots of time catching up and visiting in the cozy home. Beds were very comfortable too! Everything was perfect about this stay. Thank you very much for your amazing hospitality and sharing your home RJ and Stacey!!

Making more memories!

What a delightful, cozy cottage! It was perfect for making more memories between friends of over 50 years. The site was accessible - very few steps. There are many spots to chat indoors and outdoors. The lake is wonderful to look at and swim in! We loved the cottage decor, well-stocked kitchen, three bedrooms with comfortable beds, and friendly neighbors!

Best of times

Our stay was perfect from the minute we pulled up to the cottage until the minute we packed our bags and left. In hindsight I wish we would have extended our stay by another day or two. Everything was exactly as described on the VRBO app. The home was spotless and every amenity you could think of ever needing was available for our use.. I can’t speak more highly of Stacey - she was very easy to communicate with and available to answer any questions we had.

Perfect Vacation Spot and Cottage!

The cottage: - beautifully done interior/exterior - comfortable furniture and beds! -beautiful view of the lake We got to see a swan come every morning right up to the shore to do his pruning and start his breakfast. One morning a whole family of a mom and dad and their 5 babies (or rather more like teenagers as they were starting to get their adult feathers in) stopped by. They stayed around our area for about an hour. It was a treat to watch. We went swimming, tubing on the lake, went to Tom’s donuts multiple times, visited Debrand chocolate in Fort Wayne, explored Fort Wayne Zoo and played games that the owners graciously have available in the cottage just to name a few of the things we did. I grew up on the lake and lived there until I graduated College. I can honestly say this cottage is a gem and worthy of all your rentals.

Lakeside perfection!

From the moment I booked until we left the cottage, the communication with our hosts was terrific! What a gem! We were looking for a relaxing getaway and boy did we find it here! Perfect cottage on a nice little lake. Our hosts, RJ and Stacey have thought of absolutely everything and then some! The cottage is very clean and very comfortable with great lake views/access! The kitchen is stocked with all you will need, the cute radio set to a great local station was turned on and enjoyed while we cooked, prepped for the day and watched the water and wildlife. We grilled, cooked meals in the kitchen, and thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks (great easy to use set up) outdoor seating and fire pit! The cottage guide was full of info and told us all we needed to know. We took the host’s recommendations and enjoyed meals/ice cream at Bent Prop Pub, Scoops and Zestos. We rented a pontoon for a day from Anchor’s Aweigh and had a terrific day on Lake George. We had a little rain and even enjoyed that, sitting in the comfy living room watching the storm roll in was so relaxing, we were able to get some much needed nap time in. A pure delight, can’t say enough about the terrific experience the hosts provide! Would love to come back! Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us.

Great weekend away

This was a very simple process to connect, check in and everything in the rental was easy to figure out with their guide. Great spot right on the lake, even for a cool and chilly fall weekend, it was the perfect spot.

Wonderful cozy cottage

Such a beautiful cottage. Clean, well organized & very welcoming! The view of lake George was so pretty, we enjoyed cuddling up on the couch and just gazing out at the lake. Hope to stay here again this summer.

Wonderful stay!

Excellent rental! Extremely clean, very comfortable, all the added amenities you can think of and great location. Perfect dock for our boat and also for fishing. Great shallow sand water for the kids to wade around and swim, plenty of chairs for all of us to hang out by the water. Fire pit was nice for the cooler evenings. Owners were also very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect, relaxing cottage on the lake

We had a fantastic time at the cottage on the lake. The decor is adorable and the cottage was the perfect size for our group (4 adults, 2 kids). We met some of the neighbors and they were all very nice and welcoming. Spent a ton of time just enjoying the lake views. We will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend.

Hello. We’re RJ and Stacey, a 40-ish couple that is passionate about good food, exploring new places, and quality family time; and we especially love combining the three on family vacations. We’re Ohio natives, high school sweethearts, and parents of three uniquely wonderful children. RJ is a bit of a thrill-seeker and loves outdoor activities and sports. Stacey is passionate about history and ancestry, is most relaxed when she’s combing the beach for shark teeth, and gets really excited about planning and taking vacations. Together, our greatest joy is our children, as they make it all worthwhile.

We had been visiting Lake George for about five years before we considered buying Cottage on the Lane. Our sister and brother-in-law own the cottage next door, and while visiting them over Memorial Day weekend 2020, we decided to check out the cottage for sale. It was love at first sight! We made an offer, and the rest is history. We’ve loved making the cottage our second home and enjoying water sports, sunsets, and campfires with our family and friends.
